The city of Priesthood's High Temple was bustling, as always. The players, priests, and priestesses filled the yard with Realm Portals.
While the Players were entering and leaving the Realm Portals, the yard continued to become more crowded.
The Priests and Priestesses continued quarreling. The Players could hear their arguments from a long distance away.
However, there was a fourth group waiting for something. They were sitting among the stone benches, chatting with fellow players. Their gazes shifted between the enormous stone staircase hundreds of meters long and the High Temple's entrance.
They were waiting for Lord Wraith to make his appearance!
Among the crowd, there were several cloaked figures who instantly attracted attention. Not because of their bizarre clothing style, but because of the immense pressure they emitted.
Everyone could instantly tell that they were Pro Players!
"Psst, did you hear?" A Player who left the Portal walked toward his female friend who was waiting for them. He came here in a hurry for only one purpose: to witness perhaps the clearing of the dungeon!
"Hmm, hear what?" His friend asked with a raised eyebrow. She was a relatively normal-looking girl with auburn hair, a round-shaped head, and brown eyes.
"Apparently, today is Lord Wraith's turn!" The male player said in an almost childish manner. He grinned ear to ear while waiting impatiently.
"Wait, Lord Wraith… Where have I heard that name…" Her brows furrowed as she tried to force the memory to surface.
"How can you not know!" The male player almost raged but then remembered that his friend had recently arrived in Priesthood. She stayed in the Test of Village for a long time.
The first village of Spring Realm was referred to as the Test of Village. They all had different challenges, but all of them were extremely difficult.
Successfully passing the test was one of the players' most proud moments. Reaching one of the Major Cities in Spring Realm would mean they were pretty skilled!
There were three villages that were called S-Tier Villages. Spawning in one of them would make the player scream in despair and cry till their eyes bled.
The Villages were: Oceanwell, Lavawell, and Rainwell.
An enormous lake filled with man-eating beasts surrounded the small village of Oceanwell. There were also some unknown beasts lurking in the depths of the lake.
Lavawell was a scorching hot area. The Players who ended up there were always in a state of dehydration. It was simply too hot, and they would have to cross the enormous desert to escape that place!
Rainwell was the strangest place. It was now completely empty, devoid of any life. There was a sign of life, but everyone who lived there previously had mysteriously disappeared. That caused a lot of horror stories to circle in that place.
Then, there was that enormous forest with mysterious and horror-like creatures.
Once Isaac heard about the villagers disappearing from Rainwell, he knew that people from Fisherman Village succeeded in crossing the forest and helped the Rainwell villagers to escape that dreadful place.
However, the players weren't as lucky and had to wait for level 300 even to try to pass the forest. Impatience would lead to death, and they would have to wait even longer!
Lord Wraith's legendary status rose after the rumor of him surviving the Rainwell Forest came to light. Apparently, he did that within one week of being in Spring Realm, thus, making him a below 200-level player.
That rumor came from twins who met him during their stay there. They had to wait till level 270 to clear the test.
The male player's friend humphed and crossed her arms, "I think I have heard about him, but I never remember the names of these Top Players."
"Sigh…" The male played facepalmed.
"Anyway, why are you so excited about him trying the dungeon?" She asked curiously, "I heard the dungeon is impossible."
"Yes, apparently it's impossible… But not for Lord Wraith!"
"Ugh." She rolled her eyes, "What is so amazing about him?"
The male player looked around sneakily before whispering, "I have heard that he is also Chain Breaker, one of the first ones!"
"W-What?!" She covered her mouth in a hurry, then whispered through her fingers, "How do you know?"
"Lord Wraith, his real-life self, was in a quite famous incident year ago." The male player inched closer, "There was a video of some bastards trying to murder him, and there were some bits of the fight, and the way Wraith moved… Made people curious whether he was Chain Breaker."
"The way he moved?" She frowned.
"Yes, in very inhuman like." The male player looked toward the long stairway, "His mysteriousness is what attracts people to him… My dream is to see him fighting, at least once!"
Tap… Tap… Tap…
"Hmm?" The female player frowned and saw her friend freezing.
The male player shakily turned toward the staircase alongside hundreds of other players.
"What is this noise?" She rubbed her ears and listened to the calm tempo of footsteps.
The footsteps sounded soft yet powerful. Menacing, yet peaceful.
"He is… coming!" The male player couldn't hold his excitement and pushed past the crowd to get closer to the staircase.
"H-Hey, wait for me!" His friend quickly moved after him.
Priests and Priestesses stopped fighting and frowned. They turned to look at the staircase with slightly nervous heartbeats.
"What is happening?"
"Why is everyone silent?"
"What is this sound?"
Most players were confused and turned to look in the same direction as the rest.
Thud…
Slowly, a white-haired man appeared, dressed in his famous Camouflage Outfit. Soon, he took his first steps out of the stairway and saw the sea of players waiting for him.
No one let out a sound, and a clear path was laid for him that led straight to the High Temple's front entrance.
"H-He is… Wraith?" The female player said with shock. Her brown eyes reflected the white-haired and inhumanly handsome face.
"Yes… and today, the dungeon will get cleared!" The male player tightened his fist while looking at his idol, "I can feel it… everyone with even the slightest experience fighting strong players can tell… Wraith is strong, immensely so…
"I am curious… How far has his level reached?"
