Isaac sat on the chair while flipping through papers. Next to him, Luna spoke gently to the customers, who blushed after getting talked to by the Bookstore Goddess.
Her charm also attracted a great number of male customers. But, no one was even remotely crazy enough to flirt with her or show inappropriate behavior. She was, after all, the famed girlfriend of the Mysterious Bookstore owner.
There had been rumors floating about the true level of Isaac. They guessed that he was above level 500, and some sent a random guess that he was a low-level player.
However, everyone still acted respectfully toward him. That's where his title came from, Lord Wraith.
It was a spoken title and not given. Lord Kalzer had the ''Lord'' title because he was Alpha Tester.
Only Alpha Testers could have Lord and Lady titles.
Beta Testers had King and Queen titles.
Even though Isaac wasn't the true ''Lord'' title owner, people still treated him as such.
''E-E-Excuse me, Lord Wraith.'' A young man with a timid voice tried to attract Isaac's attention while standing behind the bookshelves. He was behind dozen customers lining up in front of Luna, about to rent a book.
Isaac frowned and looked toward the young man.
''Sigh…'' He sighed and motioned for him to come closer.
The young man immediately looked excited and briskly walked past the crowd, stopping after reaching the counter.
''Runner, what do you want?'' Isaac turned his gaze away from the papers and asked.
Runner, the timid-looking player, sheepily scratched his head and said, ''T-Tomorrow is your turn to try the Dungeon.''
''Wasn't it two days later?'' Isaac frowned.
''T-The one ahead of you fell sick and won't be able to play.''
''Hmm, I got it.'' Isaac nodded and stacked the papers before placing them inside the cabinet.
High Priest and High Priestess only allow one person to enter the dungeon per day. The players don't know why, but it seemed quite important because they were ready to fight players if they tried to enter with more than one player.
The Players have turns trying the dungeon, and Top Players created the so-called Top Player alliance shortly afterward. They decided on the turns for the dungeon, and it was non-bias.
However, there was still some favoritism. Like, this will be Isaac's third try in the Dungeon past three months. He gets one try each month, which was quite rare because some players have to wait six months for one try.
This was 9th time in total when Isaac was trying the dungeon. So far, he hadn't even seen a glimpse of the Final Boss Door.
Runner politely bowed and left with excitement. He was pretty excited because the famed Lord Wraith was finally going to give it a try.
The Priesthood's player base was anticipating his try with excitement. They thought that within two months, the dungeon would get beaten, but only a handful of players could beat it.
Wraith was one of them!
There had been rumors surfacing that Lord Wraith might be able to fight against Lord Kalzer and not necessarily lose!
Runner felt a rush of blood going straight to his head. He was a hardcore fan of Wraith and believed with all his heart that tomorrow would be the day when he would clear the dungeon!
The night soon dawned, and the store turned empty.
The yellow crystals dimmed down, and the store turned dark.
Inside the large bedroom, Isaac and Luna sat on their comfy bed while reading books.
Luna's legs were under the blanket while the gas lamp beside her illuminated the book's pages. She gently turned the page and continued reading with slightly unfocused eyes.
After being unable to concentrate, she closed the book and turned to look at Isaac, ''Isaac, I am curious.''
''Hmm?'' Isaac closed the book and placed it inside the cabinet. Then, he turned to look at Luna.
''Why don't you want to have babies with me?'' She asked with a serious look.
Isaac's body flinched slightly, but it wasn't the first time they had this conversation.
He gently smiled and placed his hands on top of hers, ''I want to, but it's too early.''
''Early? We are 19.''
''Exactly, only 19.'' Isaac smiled with playful teasing.
Luna pouted and crossed her arms, ''Your parents had their first children when they were 19…''
''Ahem…'' Isaac shook his head and tried to think of an excuse.
However, Luna sighed and curled up in the blanket, ''Tomorrow is your in the dungeon.''
''Yeah.'' Isaac heaved a sigh of relief after she steered the conversation topic away.
''Are you confident?''
''I think I am.'' Isaac opened the cabinet door and took out a worn-out notebook. He then opened it and showed the pages to Luna.
Isaac wrote everything found in the dungeon in the notebook.
''You showed me these before.'' She said with a raised eyebrow.
''Yes, but I earned a valuable piece of information yesterday.'' Isaac smiled and continued, ''Yesterday, it was Player Karuza's turn, and he didn't reach the Boss Room, or even close, but he found another path. According to him, it had way fewer monsters than other paths.''
Isaac's eyes shone as he held the notebook, ''With this path… Getting to Boss Room isn't impossible.''
''Wow!'' Luna was amazed.
''That's why I am quite confident.'' Isaac grinned and put the notebook back in the cabinet.
Luna immediately hid underneath the blanket, only showing her face, ''Not inside the game… You are just trying to weasel your way out of our previous conversation!''
Isaac leaned closer, his hot breath tickling Luna's neck, ''Why not?''
''Because inside the game, we can't have babies, nor need protection. I finally understood why you started doing it inside the game and not in real life. I caught you red-handed!'' Luna hid her whole body underneath the blanket.
''Mouu…'' Isaac plopped flat on his stomach on the bed and moved his left hand over Luna's stomach, gently caressing it, ''Fine, good night!''
He immediately closed his eyes.
''Eh?'' Luna peeked underneath the blanket and saw the sleeping Isaac. A pout appeared immediately on her face, ''Stupid!''
