White Onlinechapter 147: white room.

''Let's think...'' Isaac murmured and glanced at the corners of the room, and as expected, there weren't any cameras.

Otherwise, he would have never succeeded in hiding.

He didn't know why there weren't any cameras and why would they leave such a large blind spot in their security, but he didn't mind.

''Alright...'' After catching up on what he just witnessed, he had multiple thoughts.

''They called me as Gladiator...'' He rubbed his forehead, trying to get his brains to work in maximum capacity, and then he remembered that term, ''If I remember correctly... In Summerland, there used to be Gladiator fights thousands of years ago, and at one point, it was very popular, before it was decided that they were simply too violent and some of them even involved pagan rituals.''

He remembers reading it during his Middle School days.

''Now the question remains... Was I supposed to be a Gladiator... Or did they use it as different meaning, and I actually am a lab rat for their sick experiments?'' Isaac's used his wild imagination to think about countless possibilities.

After not getting a clear picture of his situation, he heard something grave from the mouth of a middle-aged man.

''Hounds... Are they dogs or humans who are good at hunting? Apparently, they will be able to find me... But how?'' Isaac had countless questions but no answers.

But, he knew what he had to do.

He has to escape his current room before it is too late.

Isaac stopped sitting and looked straight towards the ceiling. He knew he fell from there and thought if there was some kind of a secret tunnel, which he could use to climb away, but looking at the ceiling, he couldn't see anything except the smooth white ceiling and the bright light, which distracted his attention quite a lot.

Without finding anything from the ceiling, he walked towards the wall, which was open not long ago.

At first, he crouched and touched the floor next to a wall and saw slight scratching marks coming underneath. It must have been opened quite often for such marks to appear.

Isaac put his right hand on the floor and tried to lift the wall with the help of his fingertips, but only a grunt of pains appeared, ''Argh...'' He tried to forcefully lift the wall with only his nail; it was the only thing that managed to go underneath the wall.

''Damn...'' He reeled his hand back and looked at the wall with a frustrated look.

''Do I need to wait for someone to open it for me... That is risky... What if those 'Hounds' appear, and then I will be in trouble... Also, they might not look from here anymore, and I will be stuck here...'' Isaac's mind was running as he kept thinking about countless possibilities.

But then, he heard a distinct sound of footsteps...

'Maybe... I can make someone open it for me?' Isaac had a flash of realization as he quickly stood up and listened to the footsteps closely; once he was sure that the footsteps were not far, he decided to act!

'Please open the wall and don't call security...' Isaac prayed and struck the wall with his leg and started slamming it, making a booming sound.

*Boom*

*Boom*

*Boom*

He stopped kicking and heard that the footsteps had stopped; he put his hood again on and started hiding once more...

Outside the room.

A middle-aged woman with a somewhat plain outfit frowned at the sudden sound. She had long black hair, reaching all the way to her waist with slick eyebrows and curved nose, giving her a look of maturity and elegance. Her outfit was a relatively simple long-sleeved shirt with jeans that didn't look that special.

In her shirt, there was a nametag that revealed her identity.

[Syd]

She kept glancing at the wristwatch and frowned slightly. Turning her head back to the room, she saw a sign that said [678]

She heard rumors that the person who should have been there had escaped.

'Maybe Gladiator 678 descended later than others?' Syd thought to herself and took a walkie-talkie from her waist and said, ''I think I found the location of Gladiator 678, track my signal.''

She put the walkie-talkie back on her waist and slowly walked towards the wall with a scanner on the side.

''Where was it...'' Syd murmured and took a wallet from her pocket and searched for her card, which allowed her to open any doors.

After searching thoroughly, she found it and put it on the scanner.

*Beep*

The scanner beeped, and Syd watched as the wall slowly opened.

She looked carefree like she wasn't afraid at all that the individual in the room would attack her.

After the wall was completely opened, she frowned as she only saw a room of pure white.

''What the hell...'' She put the wallet down to the scanner and stomped inside the room. Looking around the room, she didn't see anything unnatural and not even a sign of someone ever being there!

''I swear one day this place will fall apart.'' She thought it was the building's foundations that caused such unnatural sound. Looking around the room one last time, she left it and looked around the long corridors for one last time.

The walls of corridors were greyish in color with metallic texture, stretching towards the unknown.

Hundreds of different numbers were on top of every wall, all the way from 1 till 1000.

''Hmm...'' Syd shrugged and took the wallet from the scanner and once again, tried to find her card, but this time, she couldn't find it anywhere.

She searched her wallet twice, thrice, but couldn't find it!

''How the hell I managed to lose it?!'' She looked around the scanner and even went to the room to search for it, but couldn't find it anywhere!

''Great, very funny guys!'' She screamed towards whoever was listening, thinking that she was being pranked, but not quite...

Inside the room.

Isaac put the card-like item in his pocket and saw Syd storming out without closing the wall.

''Now it's time to find out where I am... And where is the exit...'' Isaac left the room and saw the corridors being in color of grey, ''Grey.''

His outfit changed colors once more, but this time, his camouflage wasn't perfect.

His skin could be clearly seen underneath his hood, quite different from his camouflage in the room.

In that room, the bright light made the room quite bright, which made hiding painfully easy.

But now, his camouflage is far from perfect and could be noticed.

But then, a notification, which made him confident that he might actually survive this ordeal, appeared.
