Chapter 185 : The sleepy witch
After parting with Emilia, I told Melheis about her via <Thought Communication Leaks>.
He would soon arrange for her transfer to the Hero Academy.
Still, that didn’t take as much time as I thought.
I thought she’d be more aggressive, but it turns out she had become rather demure. I guess it went to show how harsh her days had been until now.
“Anos.” (Misha)
When I turned around, Misha was standing there.
With a basket in her hand.
“Breakfast.” (Misha)
She held out the basket with both hands.
“I packed it.” (Misha)
“Oh? I appreciate it. I hope it wasn’t a bother.” (Anos)
Smiling happily, Misha shook her head.
“Are you going to Delsgade?” (Misha)
“I plan to, but it’s still a bit too early for that.” (Anos)
As I stored the basket inside a magic circle, I suddenly had a thought.
“Hmm. I’ve got an idea. Let’s go to your house, Misha.” (Anos)
Misha blinked and tilted her head.
“We talked about it once before, right? About how I’d come over and wake Sasha. I’ve been putting it off due to circumstances, but now would be a good time to do it.” (Anos)
Misha nodded and extended her hand to me.
“Sasha will be happy.” (Misha)
I took her small hand, and used <Teleportation Gatom>.
My vision was dyed pure white, and soon, a different scenery appeared to me.
We were in a large room. The ceiling was high, and there were many ornate pillars.
The red curtains were blowing in the wind, and the sunlight was pouring in from the window.
It illuminated the canopy bed, yet the person sleeping in it wasn’t showing any sign of waking up at all.
Wearing a pink negligee and with her hair untied, Sasha was sleeping soundly and comfortably.
“She’s completely asleep.” (Anos)
“That’s her second sleep.” Misha stated while pointing at the window.
“Hmm. So she opened the window and went back to sleep, then.” (Anos)
Misha nodded.
“It may even be her third sleep.” (Misha)
I walked up to Sasha and sat on her bed.
“Sasha.” (Anos)
I called out her name, but she didn’t respond.
It was a wonder how she always managed to make it to school despite being like that.
I put my hand on her head and shook her a little.
“Wake up already, or I’ll shake the entire house.” (Anos)
When I put a little magic power into those words, Sasha slightly opened her eyes.
“…Misha? Is it already morning?” Sasha asked in a hazy tone.
For her to mistake me for Misha, she had to still be half-asleep.
‘Have you forgotten your master’s face?” (Anos)
Sasha was staring at me with a blank look.
However, her eyes seemed unfocused.
“My master…? Anos…? My Demon King…” (Sasha)
“That’s right. Your Demon King is here. I’ve come to wake you up.” (Anos)
“Huh…? That’s weird… There’s no way Anos would be here…” (Sasha)
It looks like she was still half-asleep, as her speech was slurred.
“We talked about it before, remember? I’ve come all the way here. So it’s time for you to wake up;” (Anos)
“…Ah, I get it… This is a dream…” (Sasha)
She wasn’t listening.
“It’s not a dream. Wake up.” (Sasha)
“Even in my dreams, Anos is so cold…” (Sasha)
Sasha grabbed her sheets and turned her back to me.
“Sasha”. (Anos)
“I still want to sleep.” (Sasha)
When I reached out my hand to her, Sasha grabbed it and tried to drag me to her bed.
“Nngh… Then how about this…? You can sleep with me, Anos… My bed is big enough for two…” (Sasha)
“I’ve said it before, but don’t think you can sleep before me.” (Anos)
“Hm… Hmph…!” Sasha groaned like a spoiled child.
“Anos would never say that, especially not in my dreams…” (Sasha)
Now she was talking nonsense.
I thought she was gradually waking up, but apparently not.
“Quit throwing your tantrum.” (Anos)
“…If you want me to listen to you, you have to keep your promise…” (Sasha)
Sasha turned over again.
Her sheets were disheveled, revealing her thin negligee.
“What promise are you telling me to keep?” (Anos)
“…You’re the one who said… you wouldn’t let me sleep…” Sasha said sulkingly.
“…If this is a dream, you could at least hold me a little…” (Sasha)
“Hmm. There really is no helping you.” (Anos)
I reached out to Sasha.
And touched her.
“Ah! …Fufu…! Come on, come closer… Closer…” Sasha giggled happily.
“Alright.” (Anos)
Then I lifted her up a bit.
“Kyah…!” (Sasha)
I held Sasha in my arms and got her off the bed.
“How’s this? I’m holding you, like you asked. Good grief, to think you can’t even wake up on your own. And you even talk like a child.” (Anos)
Misha, whom I could see from the corner of my eyes, was slightly shaking her head.
Just when I thought I had done something wrong, the next moment, Misha gasped and started nodding in small increments.
Looks like I didn’t do anything wrong, after all.
“…Huh…? Anos…?” (Sasha)
Sasha, who was in my arms, blinked and stared at me.
Once her cloudy eyes regained their focus, her words spilled out of her mouth.
“…What just happened…? H-Huh…? Wasn’t that… a dream…? But, Anos… What are you doing here…?” Sasha asked, astonished.
“I promised, remember? So I’m here to wake you up.” (Anos)
“Eh? Ah… Is that so…? Th-Thanks…” she said while still having other questions to ask.
