"Keep me entertained." He added witn a wide grin as he suddenly appeared behind Gray.
Gray's eyes opened wide, as they reflected the giant's large fist which drew closer and closer to his head.
[Pause Step]
Gray narrowly avoided it as he stepped above the fist at the last second. He could feel the air pressure caused by the punch, brush against his sandals.
The giant's speed had increased tremendously as another fist was swung at Gray with his other hand.
[Pause]
Gray created a platform mid-air and leapt off of it, barely being able to avoid, the punch in the process.
Gray, proceeded to leap off one platform to another, staying constantly in the move as he thought of a way to damage him.
'Pause step doesn't work mid-air, I've only been able to use it by pausing a platform beneath my feet. But if he continues to attack me with this speed...'
Gray, landed on top of another platform before leaping up high. The horned giant leapt at him, it's arms pulled back ready to swing. He had read Gray's line of movement.
There was no time to create a platform and pause step off of it, despite that a smile appeared on Gray's face, as he swung his rusted chipped blade down in front of the giant's fist.
[Pause]
It was his aim all along, to bait the giant into throwing a predictable move. Now his hand would be cut off.
*CLANG!*
Gray's eyes widened as a loud clang resounded. Rather than the giant's hand having been cut in half, it simply slid right past the paused slash, heading straight towards Gray.
Gray's pupils dilated as he raised his arms to block it.
*KABOOM!!!*
He grit his teeth from the overwhelming pressure which was crushing his arms as he was launched away.
[HP: 10/25]
'Ten HP gone already!?'
[Pause]
Just barely, he was able to pause himself in the air to cancel the momentum. His arms were still burning from the recent punch.
At that instant, the giant leapt at his paused Figure with it's arms stretched out to grab him. If he was grabbed then even if he paused him, the fight would be over. Realizing this, Gray created platform before unpausing himself and pause stepping behind him.
But as if he had expected it, the giant suddenly changed the direction of his attack, swinging his arm backwards at Gray.
*SWOOSH!*
Vast amount of wind passed by Gray's hair as the giant's fist barely grazed him.
With the opening, Gray stepped in landing a knee on the Giant's chin.
[Pause]
*Thud*!*
But that was only the beginning of his attack.
Gray grabbed onto the giant's arm and swung on it to gather momentum. After two rotations, he slammed his knee in the giant's chin once more, in the exact same spot after gathering enough momentum.
Gray proceeded to unleash a barrage of kicks right after, three on the side of his head at the very same spot. Following that, he landed another axe kick at the back of his head, before grabbing him by the ears and kneeing him repeatedly.
His legs felt like they were breaking with every hit, but he kept going, over and over as he caved the giant's face further into it's head.
[Points available to distribute: 8]
To finish it off, Gray placed all of his remaining points into strength, before kneeing him once more on his chin.
[Allocated 8 status points into strength.]
[Unpause]
*BAM!*
*WHAM-WHAM-WHAM!*
*KABAM!!*
As the man's head repeatedly bopped in the opposite direction to where he was hit, the air burst consecutively. Each attack registered simulatenously at almost instantaneous speed.
Despite all the hits however, he was still standing. Smiling even. Steam could be seen blowing out of the giant's reddened face as he picked his ear and asked. "Is that all? You won't get past my iron skin with weak attacks like those... Although I kind of felt the last one" He added with a grin.
[Ability: Iron Skin]
Gray was shocked. He looked down at his fists, only to find blood dripping down his knuckles. His hands were shaking violently, and stung like hell. His knees were trembling from the impact.
The giant leaned in, grasping both hands together whilst getting ready to charge straight at him. "Is that all-"
The giant was interrupted as he suddenly dropped to his knees, his body started to tremble as it failed to respond to him. Not knowing what was happening, a confused look formed on his disorientated self.
'What…? What's happening!?' He asked.
"You're strong, but… You lack this." Said Gray as he pointed at his head. "All this time, where do you think I've been aiming?" Gray asked.
The giant's eyes widened.
His face, precisely temple and chin. Gray had been constantly attacking those points.
A hard blow to the chin or jaw causes a sudden movement of the head and neck, this in turn causes the brain to move and make impact with the inside of the skull. The temple, quite similar to a chin hit can cause extreme brain trauma that can easily knock someone unconscious.
His skin was made of iron, but were his organs? Turns out, not.
"The outside might be strong… But if you're damaged enough internally… Then even you'll be like any regular human."
After saying such, Gray vanished before appearing above the man, grabbing him as he put him into a choke hold. A satisfied smile grew on his face as he thought about repaying the giant twice fold the amount of damage he had caused him.
"If knives won't pierce your skin, then I'll just have to break all your bones."
Gray hadn't gotten to testing it, but he wondered just what would happen if he forcefully paused one part of their body and left to other part paused so that he could break it. The reason he wasn't able to do it was because it required intense concentration and prolonged physical contact.
He only did it once with Aurora but the situation was completely different.
[Pau-]
*Clang!*
Gray's pause was interrupted as he suddenly parried a sword strike by a different being who had appeared in between them, with his knife.
Although Gray had parried it however, a deep cut formed on his hand. His eyes widened as he pause stepped away.
Ahead of him, another horned being could be seen. They had long flowing purple hair, with a blindfold covering their eyes. They too carried a sword in their sheathe.
'When did he…?'
Gray had bigger concerns however, as even more of them started to appear in the surrounding buildings. The top of the apartment beside him, a few buildings down the road and even another on the building beside him.
They all had horns.
"What's this...? A welcome party for me?." Gray muttered with a nervous smile.
