As Rio approached the impressive silver-stage shelter, his gaze swept across the numerous dome-like structures and two-story buildings. He couldn't help but admire the intricacy of the architecture and the grandeur of the shelter in his heart.
The sheer number of buildings was astounding, considering the lower number of silver-stage warriors in the human world.
'This is more than just a shelter. The number of buildings suggests they have a lot of high-level experts within these walls.'
He pondered the possibility that the Havenglow family had amassed a considerable number of red-stage warriors within these walls instead of the silver stage.
However, he quickly set those thoughts aside, knowing that he needed to focus on finding the girl. Rio closed his eyes and concentrated, using his spiritual power to scan each building for Layla's unique aura.
Moving orderly from one structure to the next, he probed the area with his spiritual energy, like a fine-toothed comb searching for the faintest trace of her presence.
Rio examined each building with a mix of fear and hope, but every time, he was met with disappointment. The weight of worry and frustration grew heavier with each failed attempt, settling heavily on his shoulders.
Yet, the boy refused to give up. Determined to leave no stone unturned, he persisted in his search, clinging to the hope that Layla was somewhere within the vast landscape. His unwavering resolve propelled him forward, refusing to accept defeat in his quest to find the one he loved.
As Rio circled the area, his gaze fell upon an isolated tower some distance away from the grand structures. The tower, standing four or five stories tall, beckoned him to investigate further. As he approached the tower, his spiritual energy continued to scan the surroundings
Finally, there it was - the familiar sensation of the girl's aura.
"Layla..." A soft smile blossomed on his face as he finally found her...
But just as relief drowned him, an unsettling feeling crept up his body. It was as if a wild beast had fixed its predatory gaze upon him.
Rio instinctively leaped to the side with a sharp gasp, narrowly avoiding a massive ball of thunder that shattered the stone where he had just been standing.
*Boom!!!*
The sound of the explosion echoed through the air, leaving a ringing in his ears.
Clenching his fist, the boy turned to face his attacker, he saw a towering figure floating in the air before him. The man's hair was a striking shade of maroon, and he stood at an impressive height of 190 centimeters.
A fierce and intimidating aura radiated from him, making it clear that he was not to be underestimated. The person before him was none other than the old man who had once sealed Rio's memory - the grandfather of Layla, who had separated them in the past.
The boy used his [Heaven's Eye] to inspect the maroon-haired old man in front of him.

As Rio was busy looking at Layla's grandfather's profile, the old man sneered at him.
"You have a cockroach life. Do you think because Aliyah has adopted you, I will accept someone like you, born in the gutter, to marry my precious granddaughter?" His voice was filled with contempt and disdain, each word dripping with loathing.
Rio let out a chuckle, his voice flowing with amusement, "Did you mistake me for someone who cares about your approval? Layla and I love each other, and your attempts to separate us are nothing but a waste of time.
Let me make one thing clear - if you dare to come between us, I will crush you without hesitation. No power in this world can stop me from taking Layla from here with me today."
The boy had had enough and decided to fight the old man head-on. He had inspected the old man before saying such bold words, thinking it wouldn't be too difficult to fight him as his physical power was not far from that of the old man.

Rio's total physical power was 565, but with the help of Devlin's Might and his innate stats, it reached around 696. In comparison, Ambrose Havenglow's physical power was around 710.
The old man's face contorted with anger upon hearing Rio's provoking words. He bellowed, "Confine him!" His voice seemed to reverberate throughout the area, stirring the air with an almost tangible intensity.
Rio felt the rush of wind behind him and quickly spun around. Numerous warriors flew through the air, coming towards him using their wing beast souls. The old man's command had reached their ears, and they had mobilized swiftly, as though they were prepared for this very moment.
With no other choice, Rio summoned his Silver Bloom King sword, gripping it tightly in preparation for the inevitable confrontation. The gleaming blade crackled with the sound of thunder as he braced himself for the impending battle.
More than forty red-stage warriors rapidly approached Rio, their eyes locked on him with a fierce resolve. The boy's body buzzed with blue electricity, the sound of thunder echoing around him as he readied himself for his opponents.
The warriors descended upon the ground before him, each wielding a variety of weapons including maces, swords, daggers, and shields, adopting battle stances with their eyes never leaving their target.
The air thickened with tension as the clash between Rio and the red-stage warriors of the Havenglow family began.
