MMORPG: Rebirth as an Alchemistchapter 798: the expected interference

The realization that the centaur demon had now entered a state where all his attributes were doubled spelled doom for Azazel if even a single strike landed on him.

Hubrion's doubled strength, speed, and agility were now in play, creating a nightmarish scenario for Azazel. Every swing of Hubrion's colossal axe carried a devastating potential that could shatter the very essence of Azazel's being.

The demonic coliseum became a battleground where the imbalance of power was palpable, and the odds seemed insurmountable.

Azazel, despite his skill and effort, found himself in a pinch. Every evasion, every parry, and every counterattack demanded an extraordinary effort just to survive the overwhelming attack of Hubrion's might.

The doubled stats of Hubrion made him a force of nature, an embodiment of demonic supremacy that pushed Azazel to the limits of his endurance.

The demonic crowd, initially entertained by the spectacle, now observed with a mixture of fascination and apprehension.

The cheers that once resonated with excitement were replaced by hushed murmurs as the gravity of the situation became apparent.

It was the first time they had witnessed Hubrion unleash his full power, leaving them to wonder about the identity of the mysterious kid.

Why hadn't they known about him?

Just who was that kid that could make Hubrion fight so seriously?

Continuing on the fight, the battle had taken a drastic turn, and Azazel's struggle against Hubrion's unleashed might became a test of survival.

Azazel continued to evade on the precipice of danger. Each movement became a calculated gamble, a delicate balance between life and imminent demise. His every strike, while potent, seemed like a feeble attempt against the overwhelming power of Hubrion.

Despite the dire circumstances, Azazel refused to succumb to defeat and despair. His eyes glinted with an unyielding determination, a testament to the indomitable will that defined the Demon Lord.

The clash of steel and demonic energy echoed through the coliseum, creating a symphony of chaos and power.

The fate of Azazel hung in the balance as he faced the embodiment of Hubrion's unleashed might, a force that seemed insurmountable in its doubled magnificence.

The demonic audience were gripped by the unfolding battle, and awaited the resolution of this epic confrontation, uncertain of the outcome.

"This is looking bad," Elena muttered, her eyes fixed on the intense duel happening in the arena.

Desira was unable to contain her worry any longer, and was already on her feet, appearing as though she might storm into the fight at any moment.

"Don't do anything rash," Iraelyn warned her sternly. "This is a duel between demons. The moment Lord Azazel stepped foot onto the stage, it was too late to stop this fight."

"Don't you think I know that?!" Desira snapped, but her tone softened when she saw the anger in Iraelyn's eyes and the tension in her clenched fists.

It was evident that Iraelyn, too, was struggling to hold back her impulses.

She was the Warlord of Wrath, still she could hold out better than she did.

"Can't we stop this somehow?" Vivi asked, her voice trembling with fear for Azazel's life as she shook in her seat.

"I-I can't look," Avaris stammered, covering his eyes with his little snail hands.

He experienced trauma when Obsidian X passed away. He couldn't bear to witness his death a second time.

Not just Avaris, but all of them were profoundly traumatized.

Frankly, without the corruption affecting their minds, they wouldn't have been able to cope with this death and wholeheartedly follow him.

The corruption may have led them down a dark path, turning them into extreme versions of themselves.

However, they had to admit that it was also because of that corruption that they managed to survive after Obsidian X's demise.

Meanwhile, Lethargia stirred from her slumber as the bubbles on her nose burst. Opening one eye, she lazily observed the ongoing battle before muttering, "You can do it, Lord Azazel . . . ," and promptly went back to sleep.

"Could you offer a more wholehearted cheer than that?" Avaris shouted into her ears, but Lethargia was already lost in the realms of her dreams.

Avaris sighed and mumbled, "I suppose it's already sufficient, coming from you."

At that moment, Ren rose to his feet, drawing the attention of his concerned companions.

"What are you doing?" Lorelai asked him.

"Are you going to stop the fight?" Elena inquired.

"That's right," Ren affirmed.

"You can't. A duel between demons couldn't be stopped," Vivi reminded them, her voice shaking with the desire to halt the fight herself.

"Good thing that I'm not a demon then," Ren calmly stated.

He was resolute. Azazel wouldn't die here, not if he had any say in the matter.

The consequences of his actions could be faced later; right now, the priority was saving the reckless demon lord or he feared the story would end in his demise.

He absolutely couldn't let that happen after coming this far.

Suddenly, a cry from the audience diverted their attention back to the arena.

Horror painted their faces as they witnessed Azazel already on the ground, battered and bruised. Hubrion loomed over him, raising his giant axe to deliver what seemed to be the final blow.

"Lord Azazel!" Desira and the others screamed in terror.

Ren wasted no time and raised his staff, ready to intervene.

But just as the axe was about to descend, a resounding boom echoed through the coliseum, freezing everyone in place.

"I hope I'm not too late to the party," a familiar voice resounded, capturing everyone's attention as they shifted their gaze towards the floating demon on the horizon.

It was none other than Malifira herself, but this time, she was alone.

"Malifira!" Desira and the others roared.

Hubrion's face darkened as he stared at Malifira, while Azazel panted, meeting her gaze.

"Malifira . . . you know that it's forbidden to interrupt two demons in a duel," Hubrion said, his anger surfacing as his face contorted. He pointed his giant axe at Malifira and roared, "Your punishment is DEATH!"
