God's Eyes (Web Novel)chapter 839: burn to ashes

Jason's defenses increased by a large margin after being enveloped by Solaris' flames.

It was not comparable to Petri's scales, but more than enough to block most elemental attacks that reached him.

The elemental attacks that were too strong were simply cut through by the daggers he wielded smoothly.

While he was busy hacking and cleaving through the attacks, the remaining Initial phase Ascendion stage beings had arrived in front of him and began attacking him.

There were three Shadow walkers that tried to subdue him with the darkness their body suddenly released.

Meanwhile, the other races were attacking with their physical strength and the techniques they had learned to use their spirit force with.

As such, any other being would have been severely restricted.

But, not Jason.

He was unruffled by their attacks and simply released his Celestia aura and Stigma at once.

Following that, he used his fire affinity with the additional enhancements of his moonlight affinity and traces of his divine energy.

Owing to this, his black flames were intertwined by silver strands.

Some of the strands were glowing brightly followed by enlarging in size.

From the outside, it almost looked like Jason's body was enlarging, but in the end, it was only the flames enveloping him that flared up.

They were thickening before they destroyed the energies that reached them burning through all of it before devouring the remnants.

He was still exerting the Hermes Celeration movement technique, allowing him to move much faster than his attacker.

If Jason wanted, he would have been able to deflect his opponents' attack in the first instance.

But instead of doing so, he had tested Solaris' enhanced capabilities after it was enhanced by the moonlight affinity and divine energy.

Following that, he deflected the attacks Solaris' flames couldn't block off before swiftly moving his daggers, inflicting injuries to the opponents that were too close to him.

This allowed him to transfer a fraction of Solaris towards his opponents' bodies.

Some of the beings at the Ascendion stage noticed this immediately.

But, before the flames could do their trick, they swiftly expelled the flame, overwhelming it with their affinities and cultivation energy.

Too weak to counter this, the tiny flames were extinguished or simply expelled from the body of the Ascendion stage Cultivators.

It was one of the first few times that his trick had failed him.

Thus, Jason quickly realized that using Solaris' flames to inflict an injury before waiting until his opponents were to die wouldn't work anymore.

At least not with beings at the Ascendion stage, who noticed if something were to enter their body well before it could cause any real damage.

As such, Jason knew that he had to change his tactic, but that was no problem because he was still faster than the others.

Meanwhile, his physical strength was on par, if not higher than the Ascendion stage cultivators.

With that in mind, Jason had no problems fighting against several opponents at the Initial Ascendion stage, at the same time.

He fought them in a much calmer manner than it had been a year ago when he had rescued Jennifer.

In fact, even Jennifer would be able to easily defeat the few opponents he was fighting.

But those opponents weren't worth mentioning because most of the opponents he fought were barely considered talented if that was not exaggerated either.

At most, their talent came from the races they belonged to, but that was all.

As such, Jason felt that the fight against the opponents without the true talent to be considered fighters, or highly proficient in any kind of martial art technique, was but a facade.

Right now, he was simply awaiting that stronger opponents would come over to fight him.

However, at the same time, he had to ensure that certain individuals that were too strong for him to handle, wouldn't see him as a big threat.

With that in mind, he was forced to adjust his fighting style once again, revealing how combat afine he was.

Through that, Jason didn't show any mercy as he killed the opponents around him before entering the fray of opponents once again.

It was only at this moment that he was finally able to evaluate the current situation of the entire battlefield.

In the end, the situation was neither great nor bad either.

There were quite a few defenders that were strong enough to face multiple opponents.

They emerged and left whenever they wanted, throwing the Shadow Walker alliance into a frenzy.

This was more than enough for the defenders to make use of it, attacking the distracted opponents with all kinds of methods.

Some of the defenders were even using ballistae to launch long-range attacks. This was something that caused Jason to smile dryly because he recalled something that was quite off.

'In terms of technological advancement, we were far ahead on Argos than it is the case on Manyr…is that simply because nobody bothers to keep advancing their technological standard as they have cultivation energies, or is it something else?'

As he was not sure about the answer, Jason could only continue wondering as he slashed through numerous opponents, increasing the death toll as he mercilessly killed them.

However, at this moment, the first being at the Low Ascendion stage emerged in front of him who had received an order to kill Jason.

Yet, instead of retreating in fear, Jason assumed that it was finally time for him to reveal his entire strength.

With that in mind, he didn't think of replacing Solaris with Artemis or Petri. Instead, he chose to fuse with Solaris for the first time in his life.

Since the day Solaris had devoured some of the fiery aura of the Lesser puppet that was nothing but a poorly built replica of a Primordial race, it was possible for the black origin flame to fuse with him.

That was at least what both Jason and Solaris had presumed to be the case.

After attempting to fuse a few times, they realized that it was more difficult than expected.

However, right now, with their mindset focused on the exact same thing, they could work in sync.

Both of them wanted to defeat their opponents and burn them to ashes.

Their minds were in unison, allowing them to meet the final requirement to start the fusion process.

That being said, the mantle of Solaris' flames disappeared as black flames sprouted out of Jason's body.

Meanwhile, his hair released additional flames, turning them a shade darker than they already were.

A moment later, the flames flared up, and Jason noticed how the Celestia aura within him was slowly transmuting.

His aura wanted to be fully unleashed, and Jason fulfilled its request by not holding back anymore.

After unleashing both the two Stigmas above his right eye and the transmuted aura that heated up the surrounding, Jason roared out.

The dry and trampled grass began to burn, causing the flames around him to explode that tripled his size for a moment.

When Jason roared out, something in the depth of his body was churning, but he didn't notice anything at all.

His mind was too occupied with the growing urge to burn everything around him, including his opponents.

The flames were flaring but they were all under the control of Jason.

He could command them with a simple thought of his mind.

Hearing Jason's powerful roar made Jennifer, and many other beings turn towards Jason's direction in shock.

The moment they saw Jason's brightly glowing eyes pierce through the thick black flames, which enveloped him like impenetrable armor, they couldn't help but gulp nervously.

"Is…that really Jason?" Jennifer wondered, staring into the depth of Jason's crimson-colored eyes. Thousands of black flame spears manifested around him making him look like the Grim Reaper. His desire to kill was clearly perceptible and Jennifer could only pity his opponents.
