God's Eyes (Web Novel)chapter 737: change

After Jason figured out that it was possible to use Solaris to melt the Immortal eye, he was overjoyed.

However, this joy only lasted a moment because the temperature he had to maintain was extremely high.

Even the slightest increase in the required temperature would burn everything inside the Immortal eye.

Fortunately, Jason could prevent this as his Emperor Eyes perceived that the melting point was also the highest temperature he was able to use.

With that in mind, he only had to maintain the perfect temperature to melt it.

Despite this though, it was not as easy as it seemed because the molten part of the Immortal eye was extremely fluidic.

It almost dropped out of his hand, but thankfully, he used his mana to hold it together.

But doing this was not feasible with the other tasks at hand.

Thus, Jason took out a flask in which he filled the liquefied Immortal eye before it would cool down.

Through the Emperor Eyes, he realised that if the liquefied Immortal eye would cool down, he could never melt it again, so he had just one chance to do it right!

This was annoying for Jason because it forced him to divide his attention between the liquefied portion of the Immortal eye, while the temperature of the Immortal eye's solid part had to be adjusted quite often.

Nevertheless, in the end, somehow everything worked out, and he faced no issue in the melting process.

A few hours had passed while Jason completed the arduous task of melting the Immortal eye, which was much longer than Jason had expected.

Thus, there was no need to stress himself.

Now that the Immortal eye had been liquefied, Jason could simply envelope Byakur with it..or so he thought.

However, it was not that easy, and rather difficult because Jason had no idea if he was doing everything correctly.

As such, he had to test every possible way to properly merge the Immortal eye with Byakur, while simultaneously maintaining a soul imprint on everything.

With that in mind, Jason released a thread of his soul, with which he enveloped the liquefied Immortal eye that was still inside the beaker.

Binding the liquefied Immortal eye to his soul utilised almost his entire soul energy and soul crystals.

This was unexpected, but not something he was worried about.

Rather, he was happy that he had enough soul energy to fully bind the Immortal eye.

Now that the liquefied Immortal eye was bound to his soul, the possibility of lacking a soul connection could be excluded.

That was great, and the next step was to connect the two individual soul connections of the Immortal eye and Byakur.

Jason simply twirled the soul threads inside his soul world together, ignoring anything that could go wrong.

There were all kinds of issues that could occur, but Jason's reckless action was the best way to forcefully acquaint themselves with each other.

Though Byakur was sentient, it wasn't necessarily intelligent, but the natural instincts of a sentient being had been awoken within it.

As such, noticing that the Immortal eye was something that could strengthen it extremely, Byakur attempted to annex it inside the soul world, merging the soul threads.

Meanwhile, the Immortal eye had a faint repellent force, but Jason initiated the merging process in the real world, giving Byakur some much-needed relief!

And in order to achieve this, the cracks that spread through the soul weapon appeared to be a blessing in disguise, preventing him from running into lots of unnecessary trouble!

Thinking about it, Jason couldn't help but shake his head because it was ridiculous. However, he couldn't deny that the cracks within Byakur were the perfect means to allow the liquefied Immortal eye to spread through the entire soul weapon.

As such, Jason used his mana to control the liquefied Immortal eye before slowly filling Byakur with it.

At the same time, he had to maintain the high heat around the Immortal eye, which was becoming more and more difficult as the liquid-filled into every single crack on his weapon only a few moments later.

Afterward, Jason used the remaining liquid of the Immortal eye to envelop Byakur's blade with it.

Yet, owing to the fact that the merging process of the Immortal eye and Byakur was still in process, Jason had to continue maintaining a high heat all over the entire weapon.

Fortunately, it didn't damage the runes on Byakur, otherwise, there would be many more complications, Jason would have to take into account!

In the end, the Immortal eye's repellent force gradually became weaker, and after an entire day Byakur had finally merged with the Immortal eye's liquid.

This allowed Jason to stop using Solaris' flames as they disappeared, leaving behind a profusely sweating Jason, and his soul weapon.

Mystical changes happened right in front of Jason's eyes, but before he could really see anything, Byakur vanished into thin air, only to reappear inside the soul world.

Jason hadn't forced his weapon but this time Byakur actively entered the soul world on its own, and it was not even possible for Jason to do anything against it!

That was an unexpected reaction, and it made him forget his exhaustion because he wanted to see what was happening to his soul weapon.

Unfortunately, his curiosity was ignored and Jason was just able to feel the changes that happened within Byakur through the soul connection.

It was dissatisfying but after he averted his attention, Jason quickly calmed down.

Resting for some time, he only entered the 21st floor when the speed bonus was almost taken away from him two days later.

With renewed energy, Jason swept through the next floor spending weeks defeating beasts without weapons.

It was only three weeks after the merging process had been concluded that Byakur's transformation was finally completed and took effect.

Yet, the moment Jason took it out from the soul world, he couldn't help but feel odd.

"Did… something change?"

He couldn't see a single change, and even the silver color of the Immortal eye seemed to have disappeared completely.

As such, Byakur looked exactly like before to him, and it didn't radiate any energy waves that screamed 'I'm powerful!' either.

However, Jason realised that something had changed the moment he was unable to see the inside of Byakur.

'It is concealed? Even from my sight?'

This made Jason curious, and the moment he released mana into Byakur, he realised that his soul weapon had changed tremendously!

Slowly changing into a distinct silver color, the black soul weapon seemed to have been replaced entirely.

The transformation process looked interesting, but that was not all as Jason could feel that Byakur's sharpness and endurance had increased like never before.

Even without using more mana than he was already utilizing, it should be sharp enough to cut through the hide of all kinds of Prismar stage beings.

This was exactly what he had hoped for, but in the end, Byakur's overall change exceeded his expectations.

'The Immortal eye is really useful. Even with materials at the Prismar stage, Byakur should not be able to compete with Ascendion rank weapons!'

With that information in mind, Jason had no problems advancing through the next floors as he finally got to use his main and trusted weapon once again.

For the next fifteen months, Jason just kept striving to become stronger, advance to the next floor, and never let another beast injure him or his soulbonds like the Cyclops on the 10th floor.

Because of that, he didn't rush through the floor in the first few months, but he was slowly clearing the floors before advancing.

Even if he had wanted to advance through the floors at a faster pace, each floor after the 20th was much larger than the one before.

Due to this, it took him extremely long to find the perfectly concealed mana gate, slowing down his advancement speed, from the get-go.

Thus, Jason's strength increased tremendously while his opponents' cultivation base seemed to have stagnated, turning the first trial into a frustrating task, instead of a difficult, and deadly one!

'When will I finally leave this God-forsaken place?!?'
