Eungwang High Student Promotion Ambassadors.
They are students who promote the school for a year.
Although they’re not as active as corporate advertising models, the students regularly appear on the school website and promotional brochures.
Displayed on the hologram was Yeom Junyeol looking neat in his Eungwang High uniform.
‘Cheon Dongha was chosen instead of Yeom Junyeol in PMH.’
PMH also featured these student ambassadors.
However, as far as I remember, it was Cheon Dongha and not Yeom Junyeol.
The detailed storyline wasn’t released, but Cheon Dongha has taken over on behalf of Yeom Junyeol who was studying abroad.
Other than that, there was one more difference.
‘Cheon Dongha was the sole ambassador in PMH. Why is it different now?’
As the small doubt began in my head, the other kids talked about Yeon Garam too.
Maybe they wanted another model since Yeom Junyeol already appears on TV often.
“Isn’t the person next to him a Class Zero sunbae?”
“That’s right. I didn’t know Yeon Garam sunbaenim was a student ambassador!”
“I thought they wouldn’t trust any Class Zero to go on there…”
Dokgo Miro said something realistic.
Considering the atrocities of Year Two Class Zero so far, it was strange for Yeon Garam to be selected as an ambassador.
What’s also strange is that their class had always been busy chasing Jegal and committing mischief.
“The theatre department does outside activities. Yeon Garam sunbaenim is known as an ace in the theater club and Professor Jegal recommended her since he thought she could help promote Eungwang High.”
Everyone was convinced by Kim Yuri’s explanation.
The school accepted Jegal’s recommendation, and Yeon Garam seemed willing to accept it too.
And I think I know now why Yeon Garam wasn’t a student ambassador in PMH.
‘Jegal wasn’t in school so Yeon Garam couldn’t be the model. There wasn’t a student chosen to replace Yeon Garam, so Cheon Dongha ended up doing it alone.’
At the thought of PMH, I looked at the two models in the hologram with mixed feelings.
The bright atmosphere of the scene of Yeom Junyeol and Yeon Garam smiling made it picturesque.
Indeed, they were fit to represent Eungwang High.
But of course, Cheon Dongha’s version that exuded intellectual prowess wasn’t bad either.
“I thought you’d recommend someone else, Yuri.”
“Hmm?”
“You have a famous friend so…”
Dokgo Miro seemed to be talking about Ahn Dain.
Eungwang High’s pride and genius, Marksman Ahn Dain.
Going with the flow of PMH, the next ambassador would be Ahn Dain.
Like Cheon Dongha, she would serve as the main ambassador.
Originally, Joo Soohyuk was going to be an ambassador too.
However, in the Christmas scenario, Bang Yoonseob died and Joo Soohyuk was assigned to Class Zero, depriving him of the chance to be the ambassador.
As a result, Ahn Dain became the sole ambassador.
‘There must’ve been no student who tried to fill Joo Soohyuk’s position.’
I felt bitter when I recalled how things turned out in PMH.
Kim Yuri, who had been thinking longer than I was, answered Dokgo Miro.
“Hmm… If I could recommend two people, I would’ve recommended Dain and Miro. But if I had to pick just one, I’d go with you, Miro. Maybe it’s because I saw how well you perform in person, haha.”
Kim Yuri’s words trailed off as if she really pondered a lot about the two.
Ahn Dain is the perfect heroine, but Dokgo Miro is ahead of her in terms of presenting her talent in front of the camera.
I understood why Kim Yuri was in a dilemma and came to such a conclusion in the end.
After laughing awkwardly, Kim Yuri jokingly added a word.
“And if Dain is one of the models, the male model has to be Soohyuk. There are strong candidates for the male model right now so…”
That’s true.
The one next to Ahn Dain has to be Joo Soohyuk!
I couldn’t even imagine anyone else.
Well, as class officers, Ahn Dain and Yoo Sanghoon often work together.
But that’s Yoo Sanghoon, so I can let that go.
On the other hand, Song TB said something that made his nickname fit better.
“Why? Oh, are they dating?”
“No, they have a crush on each other, I think.”
Saeum of April wisely answered Song Daesok’s question.
Even Dokgo Miro, who’s been in school for some time, seems to have caught on to what’s going on between Ahn Dain and Joo Soohyuk.
Song TB seemed disinterested though.
I remember Song Daesok not knowing who Ahn Dain was last time, and maybe he forgot again.
Aside from Min Geurin and the kids in our class, Song Daesok’s disinterested in everyone else.
Even so, TB’s remarks had some value.
‘Is there such a strong candidate that could best Joo Soohyuk?’
Joo Soohyuk, the brilliant martial art master?
I put up a list of male freshmen students on my mind, but there wasn’t anyone.
But many of my playable characters were freshmen that I wouldn’t find strange to be ambassadors.
At that time, the old man’s laughter disrupted my concentration.
“Hahahaha! I think I know who it is. But Jo Euishin doesn’t know.”
So what.
I swallowed the harsh words that almost slipped.
What I had to worry about was the male student who can top Joo Soohyuk, not this old man.
“Ah, I think I know too.”
“Same.”
Kwon Lena and Min Geurin seemed to have figured it out.
It was expected of my brilliant playable characters.
Looking at the situation, it seems like everyone figured it out except Song TB.
“Is it the vice president?”
“Yeah.”
Kim Yuri gave a big nod at Mok Wooram’s question.
Our classmates’ eyes all turned to me.
I was speechless.
‘Isn’t that a bit…? Who the hell recommended me? Did the student representative, my student, do it in consideration of me as his teacher? Or is it the old man? He said something about making me the core model of the Hwangmyeong Group.’
Just before I decided that Hwang Jiho was the cause of this trouble, the quick-witted old man stopped my thoughts.
“I’m not the one who recommended you, Jo Euishin. Hahahaha!”
“Yeah, I don’t think it’s Jiho… probably. I heard the student association and Jiikhoe sunbaes gave a strong recommendation for Euishin-ie.”
Kim Yuri explained it to everyone.
Although the recommendation hasn’t officially been carried out yet, as time approached, the students in the autonomous organizations started talking.
They mentioned me and Joo Soohyuk as the candidate for the male model.
The student council where Joo Soohyuk belonged recommended him.
However, the student association and the Jiikhoe recommended me.
‘Was I chosen with Joo Soohyuk because of my performance?’
But in terms of grades and recognized performance, Joo Soohyuk bests me by a mile.
No matter how much I think about it, it seems to be based on connections established by those I came to work with in the wake of various incidents.
I appreciate the hearts of my playable characters, but I hope they decide objectively.
‘Shouldn’t that Gye Bastard have taken care of this the moment it came up? He’s no help.’
He should’ve known that it doesn’t make sense for me to replace Joo Soohyuk since he’s someone who played PMH.
Well, the malicious commenter might not know because he only played the game for Ahn Dain.
“Euishin as a model… I want to see it!”
“I think it’ll be good.”
Saeum of April and Hani added.
Before I knew it, it was as if it was decided that I would model.
I’m not even an official candidate, and there’s Joo Soohyuk in our year, so why!
The kids poured all kinds of anticipatory words, and I didn’t have the heart to splash cold water on their excitement.
I couldn’t speak properly, and I’m sure I had a stupid expression on, but don’t they think Joo Soohyuk is the obvious choice just by looking at us?
Hwang Jiho laughed when he saw me blink.
“Let’s work hard together.”
Dokgo Miro jumped on the train and said such a mean thing.
Perhaps out of fun, the kids brought up the topic to Professor Ham Geunhyung during the attendance check.
Professor Ham made his rugged face appear a little softer and said;
“Good luck.”
Somehow, I had an ominous feeling that Professor Ham Geunhyung would also recommend me.
Throughout the general education classes in the morning, the kids were talking about modeling.
Hwang Jiho teased me from time to time, but it was hard to say anything back because most of the kids agree.
I was a model for chess before I came to this world, but I was too inexperienced to be chosen instead of Joo Soohyuk.
‘I didn’t expect another modeling offer to come.’
I’m now offered three modeling jobs at the same time.
Neuru, Hwangmyeong Group, and Eungwang High.
I was flustered, to say the least.
I never imagined that I’d do something remotely related to modeling.
When I finally had the chance to be alone and organize my thoughts during lunchtime, something came to my mind.
‘I didn’t want to be in front of the camera during chess games, but I did my best.’
To bring together people and develop the culture of chess, as well as expand private sponsorship.
I used to model for that.
In fact, people started to pay more attention to chess, and the community actually expanded.
‘…But people talk.’
As the number of my engagements went up, people began to say that I stood in front of the camera talking about chess to earn money.
I hated to hear that, so I donated most of my income to various organizations.
Still, I was criticized a lot.
Parents rolled their eyes, saying that I was being used for money.
Even my siblings were scolded.
It became harder to sleep and study chess.
It came to a point where it really impeded my game so I had to stop my modeling engagements.
“…”
I stared quietly at the display boards in front of the vending machine where there were no people.
The moment I tried to press the Select button next to the ion drink that was similar to something that I advertised before…
“Hello, Euishin. Have you taken your lunch?”
Gong Cheonghwon’s pleasant voice suddenly rang.
It was a friendly voice, but I felt my fingertips freeze.
I’ve been absent too often from his classes.
“…Yes.”
“Is that so? Then can we walk together?”
I purposely chose to be somewhere with no people, so how come Gong Cheonghwon found me…
I’ve felt it for quite a while, but his people-finding skills are no joke.
Maybe he has a fairly high-level tracking skill.
It was difficult to avoid him at that point, so I bought my drink and decided to walk with him.
‘Ah.’
Perhaps my hand slipped out of being flustered.
An ion drink came out from the vending machine.
Forced to drink it, I felt bitter.
