It wasn’t long after sunrise, and the surroundings were still dark.

But having the two beautiful characters from PMH made it seem like it was bright.

Ahn Dain stared right at Yong Jegun and spoke.

“It’s 7:30 AM on a Sunday.”

Ahn Dain said the time calmly.

Her voice sounded as clear as usual, but there was a hint of resentment.

Yong Jegun wasn’t like ordinary teachers.

Despite being the longest employee of Eungwang High, he’s never been promoted or taken up homeroom classes.

Being the assistant homeroom teacher of our class this year was the exception.

Yong Jegun doesn’t carry many obligations.

‘I haven’t seen him work overtime. He’s probably doing that not to get promoted.’

Today is Sunday, a rest day.

At half past seven, it was pretty early in the morning.

Unlike other teachers who go to school even on holidays, there’s no way Yong Jegun would do something like that.

Ahn Dain made that point clear.

“Yeah, I know.”

Yong Jegun replied softly.

He seemed to like the edge that Ahn Dain was showing, though Ahn Dain didn’t seem particularly disturbed by his attitude.

Instead, she posed a question.

“Did you come to meet our homeroom teacher?”

There was stress in her words, but maybe that was just me.

Her pronunciation is usually even and clear though.

I felt proud to see her bravely speak to the mischievous dragon, something that most students in Eungwang High are reluctant to do.

“Yeah, I’m planning to meet Professor Kim Shinrok too.”

“Our homeroom teacher was very busy yesterday.”

“You know it well.”

“I heard that my classmates, who were training at night, ran into Professor Kim SHinrok who was returning from the faculty room.”

Kim Shinrok must’ve gotten busier these days.

A lot of people have fallen onto the jurisdiction of the Tiger Clan, and those who were difficult to handle were assigned to Kim Shinrok for torture.

Other than that, two senior knights belonging to the Oath of the Three Knights intervened with our class picnic, all the while Kim Shinrok is in charge of the dragon slayer Cadmus.

And like a cherry on top, Kim Shinrok was busy trying to connect with Sung Gukeon.

‘Seeing Ahn Dain follow him so well, Kim Shinrok must be a very hardworking teacher too… He’s amazing.’

But on second thought, there was something strange.

Why is Class 1-1 so quickly informed on what Kim Shinrok is doing?

According to Ahn Dain, some of them saw Kim Shinrok return late last night.

And right now, it was just past dawn.

How does Ahn Dain know all that?

Perhaps their class is keen on sharing information quickly as they’re extremely wary of the issues that Yong Jegun causes.

Ahn Dain is their class president, I know she has a greater appreciation for her homeroom teacher than the other kids in her class too.

Yong Jegun answered with a pleased face as if having the same thoughts as me.

“Professor Kim Shinrok was very busy yesterday. I was busy too, I was on a picnic. I’m glad it’s a rest day today.”

Yong Jegun exquisitely scratched Ahn Dain’s mind.

Although supervising a picnic is one of a teacher’s tasks, it’s not really a difficult job.

Though we had to cope with attacks yesterday, few people knew of it.

To paraphrase what Yong Jegun said, “Oh, Shinrok was busy working yesterday? I was busy too. Playing outside. But it’s great that today’s a rest day.”

Well, considering what happened yesterday, it’s not really wrong.

“So you know that the professor is resting. Are you thinking of seeing him now?”

The temperature fell lower with Ahn Dain’s every word, but the more she spoke, the higher Yong Jegun’s lips went up.

Dormitory students who were passing by the lobby began to double-take when they saw Yong Jegun.

They’re trying to avoid passing through the area where he is.

“Yeah.”

“Do you have an appointment with him?”

“Nope, it’s a surprise visit. I bought some snacks that Professor Kim Shinrok likes. Do you know what that is?”

Ahn Dain’s eyebrows wriggled upon hearing that Yong Jegun didn’t have an appointment.

Before she could say anything, Yong Jegun quickly changed the topic and shook the paper bag in his hand.

The paper bag with a department store logo appeared to contain a box, probably a gift set of Kim Shinrok’s favorite food.

Ahn Dain answered the question without hesitation.

“The professor likes sweet food.”

As expected of Ahn Dain.

She observed Kim Shinrok well.

Kim Shinrok seems to opt to hide his love for sweets, but everyone in his homeroom class and Jiikhoe already knows it.

Yong Jegun’s eyes lit up.

“You know it well. Do you know what he especially likes?”

I know that one.

Kim Shinrok’s favorite is dried persimmon, something that Baekho-gun finds terrible.

Kim Shinrok likes it so much that he eats all kinds of dried persimmon foods despite Baekho-gun’s disapproval.

‘Baekho-gun just has to pretend not to see it when there’s dried persimmon on the table since Kim Shinrok likes it so much.’

Jeokho is still vindictive to Baekho-gun, and there are some things that Baekho-gun needs to endure to reflect on his sins.

Anyway, I guess Ahn Dain doesn’t know about Kim Shinrok’s love for dried persimmons.

Ahn Dain’s icy face looked cracked.

“…”

“Wanna know?”

Ahn Dain was the perfect heroine, but she lacked the experience to go against the thousand-year-old mischievous dragon.

Above all, it’s difficult for her to compete with Yong Jegun in terms of who knows Kim Shinrok better.

Bad friends are still friends anyway, and the two have been close for over 5,000 years.

Ahn Dain was hesitating to ask, and Yong Jegun annoyingly cut her off.

“You don’t wanna hear it from me? Okay, then ask Professor Kim Shinrok later.”

“Ah…”

I think Kim Shinrok would be evasive even if his advisory class asks him.

Kim Shinrok is the type to build up his walls so he’s not someone who would give up personal information easily.

Perhaps aware of this fact, Ahn Dain lamented.

“It’s better to have food that you like on rest days, right? I should hurry and go see Professor Kim Shinrok. See you.”

Sadly, this was a complete victory for Yong Jegun.

Even though the mischievous dragon would surely bother Kim Shinrok on a Sunday, Ahn Dain couldn’t find a way to hold him off.

In addition to that, Yong Jegun succeeded in showing off his friendship with Kim Shinrok over dried persimmons.

‘Should I tell Ahn Dain? No, I shouldn’t spread personal information about the Tiger Clan descendant.’

It’s just his favorite food, but I was still reluctant.

Kim Shinrok keeps changing his identity.

If anything, there might be someone who can identify him based on that information.

I thought I should console Ahn Dain by showing her a new picture of Olmu later on.

“Hi, Euishin-ah. You’re off to training? You’re diligent.”

Yong Jegun approached me!

It was flustering, but since the professor talked to me first, he was a bit hard to evade.

“Hello.”

“You’re ever so polite. Did you think about the suggestion I made yesterday?”

“…I’m thinking about it.”

“Yeah, it’s not good to rush you. Alright, I’ll go now. See you tomorrow.”

Why did he have to bring up such a thing in front of Ahn Dain…

Ahn Dain’s eyes were burning.

Shortly after Yong Jegun’s excitement, I greeted Ahn Dain and went out to train.

On the way, I mainly talked about Olmu and the picnic, to which Ahn Dain asked about Yong Jegun’s whereabouts during the picnic.

Yong Jegun appropriately packaged and delivered the story in a way that makes it seem like the treasure hunt was something he really enjoyed.

“I see. Thanks for telling me, Euishin-ah.”

I wonder what Ahn Dain is thinking.

I was worried, but I didn’t feel like interrogating the title heroine so I just moved on.

And then, come Sunday afternoon.

Yoo Sanghoon sent an uncharacteristically long message.

[Yoo Sanghoon] My class will have an emergency meeting on Monday.

[Yoo Sanghoon] What happened at the dorm?

Ahn Dain called an emergency meeting.

Does she really intend to unite the class to overthrow Yong Jegun?

I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I decided to prepare myself.

Ahn Dain and Yong Jegun…

I’ll try to support them both.

Monday.

With Year One Class One going to school early, locking their classroom door, and preparing for something, a very important schedule began in Eungwang High.

It was the final exam for the third-year students.

In consideration for the third-year students who were preparing for college admission and employment, their exams will be held early.

That’s how the final exams for Eungwang High seniors began.

“I hope the Class Zero seniors do well on their final exam.”

Kim Yuri sounded worried, perhaps about what Woo Kihwan’s class would do.

“There’s a senior in Year Three who wanted to stay in school until they become in the same class as Miro…”

Is she talking about the Class Zero senior in the Korean Traditional Music club who almost didn’t take the CSAT to watch Dokgo Miro’s performance?

When Kwon Lena said worriedly, Dokgo Miro reassured her.

“It’s okay. I talked with Jung Haeon sunbaenim.”

“The fansite sunbaenim?”

“Yep.”

Although it wasn’t revealed, there was a big conflict over the declaration of the senior who wanted to overstay in Eungwang High to be in the same class as Dokgo Miro.

Jung Haeon, Dokgo Miro’s fansite, talked to the senior who wanted to overstay.

She declared that if the senior goes through with their plan, she will use all her personal connections, experiences, and abilities to block the senior from the fandom.

When Jung Haeon mentioned blocking the senior from buying tickets, goods, fan sign events, and participating in music broadcasts, the senior finally gave in.

“Oh, that’s right, I wanted to ask Miro a favor.”

“Hmm? What favor?”

“We’re planning to open recruitment after the fourth quarter student representative meeting, and we’re planning to select candidates by recommendation. I wanna recommend you, Miro.”

Kim Yuri floated a hologram.

On it, the title “Eungwang High Student Promotion Ambassadors”

Under the heading were photos of Yeom Junyeol and Yeom Garam, the cover models of this year’s Eungwang High promotional materials.
