"I can feel it… the presence of strong!" King Arawn exploded into laughter. His teammate was a short-haired girl who covered her ears as the laughter boomed in her ears.
"Be quiet, you Ogre!" She shouted and kicked the shinbone of the bushy-bearded man.
"Hmph, that tickled!" Arawn said while shrugging off the tiny sting sensation on his leg.
"Go cut down trees or something, you Ogre!" The short-haired girl pointed outside, puffing and huffing loudly.
"Without your foul mouth, you wouldn't be too bad-looking!" Arawn spat on the ground, brushing past him with the lofty look, "However, your foul mouth just tells how ugly you are from inside!"
"H-How dare you?!" The short-haired girl stomped on the ground angrily, "Just so you know. My classmates nominated me as the Class Princess!"
"Must have been out of pity. Now, do something useful. Maybe if you prove your usefulness, I could endure your presence better!" Arawn shrugged off his hand as he stepped out of the cave.
He noticed sharp sticks strewn across the forest, causing him to nod satisfyingly.
The short-haired girl continued throwing tantrums, causing a certain part of the forest to be rather loud.
…
"W-Well, what should we do?" A timid-looking man asked his teammate. They stood on the outskirts of the forest and saw the endless grass field, the towering mountains, and distant valleys.
"What do you mean 'we'?" The dark-eyed man turned to look at the timid man. A name hovered above his head. Darkside.
"E-Eh?" The timid-looking man sprang backward, shock in his face, "B-But, we are teammates."
"Honestly, how did you get this far?" Darkside glanced at the timid man, "Right, you are New-Gen Human, no wonder."
"W-What does that have to do with anything?" The timid man clenched his fist, not liking when he was underestimated, "I might not look like, but I am strong!"
"New-Gen Humans are cowards who vomit after seeing a drop of blood. Do me a favor, and go make my bed softer before the night. Maybe I won't let you die if you do a good job!"
''I-I am not your servant!''
"You are now." Darkside pulled out his shiny dagger, placing it on the timid man's neck, "Now go, servant!"
"H-How can you use a weapon?" The timid man spoke with shock, "I-I can't, but why can you?"
"This is the difference between useless and Players. Now, go before I try to find ways to make you feel pain."
The timid man gulped and ran to the cave, tears brimming in his eyes.
…
"…" Slowly, a dead-looking man opened his black eyes. The eyes didn't seem to have any light. The name hovering above showed a name, Underlord.
Even while being wide awake, he didn't move a muscle. Slimy worms wrapped around his fingers. Still, he didn't move. His teammate was already wide awake, an arrogant-looking man with great presence.
At first, he looked like a famous rapper with ear piercings and tattoos adorning his body.
"Yo, awake?" The rapper asked, showing his golden teeth.
"…" Underlord slowly sat up, his lifeless eyes scaring the rapper.
"Shit, what the hell?" The rapper felt chills in his arms. The feeling he got from Underlord was strange, like he wasn't a human.
"…" Underlord's cold eyes froze the atmosphere further.
"Whatever…" The rapper frowned, massaging his temples as he said, "Yo, man, should we like check this place out?"
"Yes, you." Underlord's first cold voice rang in the cave.
"Me?" The rapper frowned, "What about you?"
"Stay."
"Stay here?" The rapper's face also turned colder, "Are you planning to do nothing?"
"Yes."
"Fucking lazy bitch." The rapper smacked his hand against his thigh, angrily shouting, "There is no way that you will stay here. Man, get up from your fucking ass!"
"No." Underlord lay back on the rocky bed, tirelessly looking at the ceiling.
"WHAT THE FUCK, YO MAN?!" The rapper sprung to his feet, the dust blowing off his clothes.
"Quiet." Underlord pointed at his lips. A red particle flew off his finger.
"Hmm?" The rapper tried to speak something but then noticed that no words had come out. His eyes shook as he touched his lips, and immediately, a panic burned inside his heart. His mouth was gone!
The rapper's eyes were full of fear as he looked at Underlord.
"Hmm, hmm, hmm!" Muffled shouts sounded in the cave.
"Begone." Waving his hand, a wave of red smoke appeared in the cave, engulfing the rapper. As soon as the rapper's figure vanished into the red smoke, the loud, muffled shouts grew louder. There was a mix of pain and fear.
After the red smoke disappeared, the rapper was gone. The word 'Death' hovered in the air at the place where the rapper was.
Underlord slowly lowered his eyes, falling asleep.
…
Creak, creak, screech!
Zachary sat on his rocky bed, sticks dotted across the floor. There was a blade made of stone in his right hand, which he used to make the sticks sharper.
At the other side of the cave, Isaac sat on his own uncomfortable bed. There were all sorts of herbs and flowers piled in front of him. He tried to re-create Healing Potions because he was out of them. However, as soon as he finished the first one, it was measly White ranked.
The White ranked Healing Potions gave barely 5 to 10 HP.
'Better than nothing…' Isaac frowned while speaking inside his mind. As he finished all the herbs and flowers, mixing on the potion, there was around dozen Healing Potions. At best, it could help him to increase his HP by 100.
A quite measly amount.
Zachary had finished with sticks some time ago and was sticking them at the trees. That was Isaac's plan, to make walking past the trees impossible without making any sounds.
So, they made the trees like barbed wire, sharp and deadly.
After Zachary returned to the cave, he rubbed his ears as he thought he'd heard something. Walking closer to the wall, he planted his ear against the wall. A clicking sound came from the wall.
Walking slightly forward, the clicking sound turned louder. Zachary started wiping off the dust from the wall, soon revealing a hidden mechanical clock. The glass showed his reflection, which mirrored his movements.
"Look at this." Zachary looked at Isaac, showing him the clock.
"Hmm?" Isaac walked to the clock, the time showed less than a week, and the point score showed 25.
"25 points, for what?" They both frowned.
