"Sneak attack, hmm." After turning around, Arthur grinned and said, "How sneaky. Did the Lord teach you to do that?"
"Hmph!" Once more, Lunatic vanished, and then he was found perched on top of a nearby rooftop. The structure below him was a burned library that had been home to one of the most extensive book collections in the world.
Due to the fact that Arthur enjoyed reading so much, he went there almost every day before White Online. At this point, none of the books remained.
"Realm Hopper." Isaac murmured something under his breath and narrowed his eyes as he asked, "Which Legacy Figure could have the similar ability, Arthur?"
"I can't say for sure, but there is a possibility that nobody has." Arthur crossed his arms and said with a serious expression, "There are very few Special Legacy Figures that could have an ability related to Swordsmanship, but they could still let their carrier use other classes."
"Because of this, it's been given the name Special Legacy."
"This is going to be annoying, but Realm Hoppers don't have any physical skills," Xerxus said while rubbing his hands.
"Be careful. He might try to use his ability to get us out of here by taking us into space out of desperation. Both of you would perish, but I seriously doubt that he would care if he is able to take your life, Arthur." Isaac jogged their memory.
"Yeah… He is a dangerous opponent." There was a frown on Arthur's face as he said, "He can follow us until the end of the world, and there is nothing we can do."
"Nothing? Heh." Xerxus saw that as a challenge and accepted it. His arms and legs moved in a smooth and coordinated manner, and he moved across the street as quickly as a flash of lightning.
In the time it takes to bat an eyelid.
He suddenly materialized in Lunatic's line of sight, his fist raised and directed toward the latter's cranium.
"?!" Even though Lunatic's reaction speed wasn't terrible, Xerxus' speed still managed to catch him off guard.
Once more, he clenched his fists and vanished into the distance a few kilometers away.
"Who exactly is that fatty?" He frowned as he observed the altered appearance of Xerxus' body. The usefulness of Arthur's mask was unexpectedly greater than even they could have anticipated. Due to the peculiar nature of their appearance, Lunatic did not take them seriously.
Then, he observed a lightning bolt off in the distance, and Xerxus materialized only a few hundred meters away from him.
"?!" After a moment of reflection, Lunatic was almost certain that he saw a grin on Xerxus's face.
He teleported away as the wind picked up, but he was unable to relax for even a second because a flash of lightning followed him.
A bolt of lightning and a man with the ability to teleport appeared out of nowhere, and the entirety of the city served as their battleground!
"This is our chance. Let's run!" After yelling, Arthur started running toward the exit, and Isaac, Kalzer, and Amour, who had just picked up his axe from the ground, followed closely behind him.
They fled the city and continued their run in the direction of the snowy forest that was visible in the distance. It was tucked away in the shadow of a massive mountainside. There were four mountains there, and their names were Winter, Snow, Ice, and Cold.
Because of the extremely low temperature there, it was highly unlikely that very many people would survive there. On the other hand, there have been whispers of several secret communities located there.
Wrrrrr!
As Arthur made a sharp turn to the left, a number of military vehicles emerged from the snowy road that led to the military installation. Each and every one of them had a mounted weapon, and soldiers were in charge of operating them!
Kalzer gave the spear a whirl before tossing it toward the vehicle that was closest to them. The blade of the spear was so sharp that it easily sliced through the sturdy military vehicle, thereby destroying both the engine and the weapon!
The soldiers jumped out of the vehicle just in time to make their escape before the explosion completely destroyed the vehicle.
When Kalzer put his hand out in front of him, the spear came flying back in his direction.
Isaac drew Silvercloud from its hiding place and pulled the trigger.
One swift shot was all it took for the bullet to punch through another military vehicle, thereby destroying both the engine and the weapon.
As they had done in the past, the soldiers jumped out of the vehicle and ran away just in time to escape the explosion that the vehicle was about to cause.
Within the confines of White Paradise.
"Hmm?!" After hearing the sounds of explosions, Lunatic turned his attention to the snow-covered forest. He could make out four figures moving toward the edge of the forest!
"No!"
"Yes!" Suddenly, Xerxus materialized next to him out of thin air and hit him squarely in the cheek with a punch.
Thwack!
"UUURGH!" The crazed individual got launched into the air and then crashed into the nearby structure. It looked like he lost a good portion of his teeth, and there were cracks all over his head.
When combined with his incredible speed, Xerxus' punch possesses a frightening level of power.
Lunatic experienced a moment of panic and immediately teleported to the location that, to him, appeared to be the safest for the time being. After experiencing dizziness and seeing nothing but hazy images, he eventually made his way onto the military base with a cut across his face.
"Commander!" The soldiers shouted, and then they assisted him in standing up.
"Ugh!" While holding his throbbing cheek, Lunatic yelled, "Call the Hunters. We need to track them down!"
"Y-Yes, sir!"
…
Arthur and the others entered the forest.
Soon after that, Xerxus appeared before them with his incredible speed, which caused the snow to scatter all around them.
"Is he keeping an eye on us?" When Arthur asked, they were in the middle of navigating through a snow forest. He also frequented the well-known White Paradise forest on a daily basis but never ventured into the surrounding mountains.
Even for seasoned hunters, the mountains posed a significant threat. However, they had no choice but to traverse it, and Arthur no longer believed it to be in a dangerous condition. Because he and the others were Chain Breakers, they were considerably more powerful than any seasoned hunter.
"Nope," Xerxus responded nonchalantly while continuing to run at his normal speed, which was significantly faster than what the others were capable of. However, once he had adjusted to his superspeed, it felt like he was going no faster than a crawl.
"Good, now, let's make enough tracks so that their Hunters can follow us," Arthur said, "They will be a few hours behind us, so let's keep it that way," and he increased the weight of his footsteps, making a clear print of his footstep on the ground.
"Alright." They nodded, then continued to make tracks that were straightforward enough for the Hunters to follow. They did not put their faith in the footprints because there was a possibility that a storm would erase those tracks.
As a result, they cut themselves multiple times on the tips of their fingers and spread their blood across the branches and trees. Because of this, the incredible senses of the Hunter would be able to detect the scent of blood on them, which made it simple for them to track them down.
"I don't know about you three, but I'm having a good time," Xerxus remarked with a grin as he went about his business in a relaxed manner.
"The chilly weather doesn't bother you, does it?" Isaac was curious about this because the vast majority of tourists from other continents always seem to be complaining about how cold it is.
"Don't worry. It's invigorating!" While Xerxus was pleasantly surprised by the pleasant weather, he remarked, "Perhaps I will move here; who knows."
