Shortly afterward, the party ended, and the bustling mansion grew silent.
Only Whitelock's and Luna were left.
Marvin returned to his room and entered White Online immediately.
Alice left, went to her room, and entered White Online. So far, her progress was a complete mystery because she didn't want to meet up with Marvin and Isaac inside the game because she wanted to try to play alone.
Sophia returned to her room and curiously picked up the Mythical VR Helmet. Like Alice and Marvin, she also had Mythical VR Helmet. She, however, wasn't very good in the game and could be considered a complete amateur in fighting.
However, she had a very special skill that almost no one had. Thus, her reputation was also mystery-related.
Sophia lay on her bed and placed the headset around her head. She pressed the button on the side and felt the skinsuit tightly hugging her attractive figure. Then, her face turned doll-like with zero emotion.
In the kitchen, Isabella cleaned the desks while the servants had washed all the dishes before leaving the party.
Maxwell returned to his office to continue his workload.
Mark returned to his room and sneakily took his Mythical VR Helmet with a grin. However, if he entered the game, his account would get banned because of the age limit.
Thus, he pulled out a USB stick from his back pocket and connected it with the Mythical VR Helmet. Then, Mark put the headset on his head and lay on the bed.
The visor beeped, and the age that showed was 18. The USB stick had a program downloaded that changed the person's age. Thus, allowing Mark to bypass the age limit.
It was ban-worthy, and Legacy Company would definitely be able to patch it. However, Arthur had no intention of doing so.
In his opinion, everyone should be allowed to play, but because of public pressure, he had to add it. However, he didn't patch the age-changing program because he could act ignorant and tell the public that he had no idea about such a thing.
While everyone was doing their own things, Isaac was sitting in the living room, his gaze firmly on the TV screen.
The news showed images of the destruction, and the news anchor talked about the sudden increase in Chain Breakers' activity. There seemed to be more and more Legacy Carriers, almost over a thousand, also increasing the number of Chain Breakers weekly.
Soft footsteps echoed behind Isaac, and Luna arrived while wearing a blouse and jeans. She sat next to him and held his hand.
"Are you alright?"
"Yes…" Isaac replied with a quiet tone and changed channels. It was another news station that showed the destruction between the two Chain Breakers' fight.
"Battle between Chain Breakers…" He murmured with enough volume for Luna to hear, "It's dangerous when White Online gives power to whoever manages to get their hands on the legacies…
"To break chain varies from person, and you and I had the difficult tests, while some have easy ones...
"And the world is full of ignorant people… This is what happens when someone who doesn't know how to handle their power appears." Isaac's finger pointed at the TV screen, which showed the city's destruction.
"Sword of Myth will handle it…" Luna touched his shoulder and whispered gently.
"The problem is that they are always late!" Isaac's left fist tightened, "The damage is there when they arrive. I bet all my wealth that the two who fought are currently hiding in their homes, crying their eyes out because of what they had done.
"They are also aware that the Sword of Myth is after them. That makes them panic, and their reasoning stop existing. It's dangerous when a frightened animal gets cornered, they will bite back, and more destruction happens…
"The result will always be the same. Sword of Myth WILL find them and send them straight to Tartarus.
"White Online's damage control is excellent. The buildings and terrain are far more durable. Without that durability, the Player's sheer strength would have destroyed everything in the game.
"This is what happens when the real world doesn't have that kind of durability. One attack would destroy a building, the aftermath kills a person or gravely injures."
"What are you planning to do?" Luna asked worriedly. Her eyes shook as she scanned Isaac's facial expressions. He looked like someone who was about to do something reckless.
Isaac stayed silent and pulled out a card from his left pocket. The card showed a golden sword with an M-lettered hilt.
"Is that…?" Luna's eyes widened in surprise.
"Yes, the calling card of the Sword of Myth." Isaac held it in his grasp and said, "They found out about me a few months ago… They tried recruiting me, but I said no."
"Are you… Going to join them?" Luna's body trembled from the thought alone. She knew that the death rate among Sword of Myth was high.
"No, otherwise, my ranting session would have been nothing." Isaac let out a tiny seep of laughter and said, "Sword of Myth isn't the solution. They are part of the problem."
"Then, what are you planning to do?"
Isaac looked at his girlfriend and saw her worried look. The crystal blue eyes moistened, and her cute pink lips curved downward.
"Luna, can you use one of your Clairvoyance Spells?" Isaac held her hand and asked with a gentle tone, "I need you to find out the time when another Chain Breaker attack happens."
Luna's eyes widened, "I won't be able to use that spell for the next three months. What if something happens to you?"
"It's fine. We only had to use that spell once before—I will be fine." Isaac said with certainty and stood up. He offered his hand and said, "My love, will you do it for me?"
Luna bit her lip and pouted, "You always call me "love" when you want something, and you know I can't resist when you say that!"
Isaac smiled, "Well, what is your answer… My love?"
"Of course, I will do it for you!" Luna stood up and wrapped her slender arms around his waist, "I will do anything for you."
Smooch!
Their heads leaned closer for a kiss, and the tongues began intertwining. Shortly later, they separated from the kiss and went straight toward Isaac's room to start doing the Clairvoyance Spell!
