"Mmh…" Isaac sleepily moved his head side-to-side. His forehead furrowed as he looked like he was having a bad dream. Then, his face relaxed, and his eyes began slowly opening.
The first thing he saw was Luna's beautiful sleeping face. She was motionless with her purple eyes.
"Ugh…" Isaac sat up on the bed and looked at the wires connected to his body. He pulled them out and threw them to the side. When Isaac pressed a button, all the beeping noises that had been produced by the machines suddenly ceased.
After putting down the VR Helmet, he left the bed and staggered toward the bathroom.
"Weird… My body feels strange." Isaac shook his head and felt slight leg pain. After entering the bathroom, he turned on the sink's faucet, then washed his face.
As he wiped his face with a towel, he glanced in the mirror briefly. In an instant, two pairs of silvery eyes gazed back at him.
As the mirror inverted his movements, Isaac touched his face with disbelief.
The face in the mirror had a Godly face with well-defined facial features, beautiful silver eyes, and smooth skin like a porcelain doll. As the white strands of hair fell to the side, the inhumanly handsome face appeared.
"W-What…" Isaac moved his hand, and the mirror inverted his movement. The man in the mirror was him, but he was much more handsome with an ethereal glow in his eyes.
He then took a step back, and the rest of his body became visible. The hospital gown only reached his knees, barely. His height also had increased, and it was now 190cm.
Isaac moved up the gown and trailed his hand across his stomach. He felt his well-toned muscles and abs. His two arms packed with explosive strength and muscles. He didn't look like a bodybuilder but a professional swimmer.
"What happened?" Then, words Morpheus uttered echoed in his mind, "Reborn… I have been reborn."
A wave of strength flooded Isaac's body as he clenched his fist. He felt like he could smash through concrete walls with a single punch.
He lifted his chin and looked straight at his reflection. Then, he reeled in his fist and punched!
His fist stopped an inch before hitting the mirror. However, the air pressure alone shattered the mirror!
Crack!
As the glass shards littered the ground, Isaac, with disbelief, turned around.
Then, his ears perked up as distinct voices came from the direction of the bed. He left the bathroom and saw Luna waking up with drowsy eyes.
"Luna, are you alright?" Isaac dashed next to her and gently helped her to sit.
"Hmm? Who?" Luna looked at him with drowsy eyes. The purple glow in her eyes slowly disappeared, and the vision turned clearer.
Then, she rubbed her eyes and opened them again, "I-Isaac?"
"H-h-how?" She touched Isaac's face with clear shock.
"I don't know… Haha." Isaac scratched his head. The corners of his lips curved upward as he saw Luna's complexion having more color. She seemed much healthier than before.
"You look much healthier."
"I do?" Luna touched her face with a soft smile. Before, she was unusually pale and even looked sickly several times, but it still didn't diminish her beauty. Now, she seemed very healthy while looking like a beautiful angel.
"What happened?" Isaac asked as he sat next to her. He grabbed her hand, which didn't feel as fragile as before. There was strength in Luna's hand as well. That made him certain—she managed to break the chains.
"I… I fought against Winter Illness." Luna said with a relieved smile, "I managed to win, and it is finally gone from my body… I am free and healthy."
"That's great… Are you alright?" Isaac still asked, even though he already knew the answer.
"I am… doing great." She replied with an emotional visage. The years of being riddled with illness made her willpower weak because she knew that, at one point, it was pointless to keep fighting.
Now, nobody could stop her from living her life as she wanted.
With a side-glance, she looked at Isaac and thought, 'The way I want to live is with him…'
Isaac's gaze went past her and landed on the mechanical clock. His smile grew as he said, "Merry Christmas."
"Eh?" Luna turned to look at the clock, and it was five minutes past midnight.
"Christmas Eve…" She murmured with palpating heart. Then, she turned to look at Isaac with cheeks dyed in pink and an unnatural glow in her eyes.
A tiny heart's pupils appeared as she leaned closer and kissed Isaac's cheek. The sound of her smooch echoed in the room.
Isaac's heart pounded as he remembered their promise. With trembling hands, he wrapped his right arm around Luna's waist and pulled her closer.
Luna moved and sat on his lap, her two mounds softly touching Isaac's chest.
They looked at each other and saw each other's desire in their eyes.
"A-are you sure the room is soundproof?" Luna asked shyly.
"Yes." Isaac nodded, "There is only one soundproof in the hospital, and it's this "King" Room, only reserved for the most important patients. It seemed that my father was a partner with the hospital and owned 5% of the shares."
"This is the… King room?" Luna was happily surprised, but still, she shyly asked, "S-S-Should we test? L-Like, I go outside, and you shout, and I will tell if I hear anything."
"Haha." Isaac covered his mouth as he accidentally laughed.
Luna pouted with an adorable look, "Why are you laughing?"
"Nah…" Isaac waved his hand and pulled Luna closer, "You are just adorable. No need to worry, I have stayed in this room too many times, and I have even blasted music, but no one ever heard a thing."
"A-Alright…" Luna tried to calm down her heart but wasn't successful.
Isaac leaned closer and shared another passionate kiss with Luna. Their arms passionately moved around each other's backs, pulling each other tighter into a hug.
"D-Do it…" Luna whispered with cheeks dyed in pink. She couldn't wait any longer as she began to yearn for him.
