White Onlinechapter 436: the final battle (5)

"You lost!" Oliver's crisp shout reverberated in the dark hallways. Soon, his friends had surrounded Isaac, their faces showing a tinge of glee.

"Did I?" Isaac's corner of his lips were pulled upward as he slowly turned his head towards the window panels. The yard was getting crowded with police vehicles ranging from ordinary police cars to a van.

Oliver frowned and looked toward the windows. His eyes widened when he saw the police vehicle's doors opening and a large crowd of police officers stepping down from their vehicles.

"You said no cops!" He shouted with disbelief and anger. Luke and the rest of his friends gulped with fear and began hesitating.

"Trickery was allowed, no?" Isaac innocently smiled while whirling the bat around him, "I lied that it would be only your group Vs. Me."

Oliver's friends' faces turned even paler.

"Ahhhhhhhh!" Oliver's whole body shook as he screamed all the frustration out. Then, he ripped his jacket open and pulled something out from his waist. There was a holster with an item poking out.

After the item was pulled out of the holster, everyone widened their eyes in shock.

"Well then, laugh more!" Oliver's hand was steady, eyes cold, and lips curved downward. A revolver was held within his right hand, then he spun the cylinder around with his right thumb and pushed it inside the revolver.

The revolver was ready to be used.

"I have five bullets, enough to riddle you with bullet wounds." Oliver's smirk widened as he saw Isaac taking a step back with wary painted on his face.

"Oliver…" Isaac lowered his bat and put his hand in front, trying to calm Oliver down.

However, it was no use as Oliver screamed, "Why couldn't you stay in the hospital?!"

His finger inched closer to the trigger.

Luke and his friends stepped further away. They realized that Oliver had lost it and that hanging out with him would lead to prison. However, they were afraid he might turn the revolver toward them while they were leaving.

"Bastard, answer me!" Oliver stretched his right hand forth, and his finger touched the trigger. He was only one pull away from killing the source of all his problems.

Isaac's shaking eyes turned cold, "So that you can live happily ever after?"

"The doctors always wondered how I could overcome the trauma—even psychiatrists said it should have been impossible.

"I still should have been in hospital… Even to this day.

"But, my anger overcame the trauma. I didn't feel fearful of what might happen. I, of course, was terrified when I left the hospital.

"Thinking that I might get ambushed and finally killed.

"But, I always knew that the one who hurt me was still out there… and I wanted to be the one who brings him down."

Oliver's lips tightly closed, and his ragged breath slowly steadied.

Thud!

Isaac dropped the bat, which sent a sound of thud to echo across the dark hallway.

Then, his face became calm as his mouth opened, "At the back of my skull, I always knew that it was someone close to me… the one who hurt me.

"Maybe, I always knew that it was you. I just didn't want to believe it."

"You knew I loved Amanda, didn't you?" Oliver asked with his black hair landing over his ears, covering his piercings. His handsome face showed melancholy.

"Why did you think I didn't confess to Amanda?" Isaac rubbed his nose bridge and swiped his hair back.

Oliver's eyes shook, "You are saying… you didn't confess because of me?"

"Yes, you were my best friend after all." Isaac sadly smiled and remembered the scenes of him and Oliver when they were truly best friends and not enemies.

Oliver's teeth began grinding against each other, "Shut up! You never cared about me, and don't act like you did!" His grip on the revolver tightened.

"…" Isaac's arms dropped next to him, "I hate that I actually did… you were like my brother."

"Shut up, you bastard!" Oliver's finger pulled the trigger, and a loud ear-spilling sound rang throughout the hospital.

Bang!

Outside the hospital.

The police captain narrowed his eyes as his gaze scanned the dark interior of the hospital. The windows didn't show anything, and the hospital seemed quiet.

Bang!

Then, a loud sound reverberated in the yard.

"Gunshots!" The police captain shouted, and every police officer hid behind their cars. They pulled out their handguns, and the seriousness of this situation increased.

'No, no, no!' The police captain screamed inside his mind.

Inside the hospital.

"Haahh… Hannah…" Oliver's rough sound of breathing echoed in the darkness. His hand slowly lowered as he saw the white-haired man falling to the ground.

Thud…

Isaac's back crashed with the tiled floor, and a pool of blood soon formed around him.

Luke and the rest of Oliver's friends exchanged glances.

"It's over…" Oliver heaved a sigh of relief and placed the revolver back in the holster. He looked at the bleeding Isaac with a cold gaze, lips slightly curving upward.

"Ugh…" Isaac let out a painful cough, and he could feel his entire body screaming in pain. Then, Oliver's shadow loomed over him, and he could see the sickening grin on his face.

"You lost," Oliver said gleefully, his entire body spasming in pleasure as his nemesis was finally lying in front of him in pain.

Isaac's eyelids heavily closed. Then, a flash of images began ravaging his mind. The first images showed him as a kid, enjoying the coldness of the weather while playing with toy trucks.

Then, it showed images of High School, him walking in the corridors with Oliver in tow, and the rest of his friends talking with smiles.

Finally, it showed an image of that fateful night in the hotel, him hugging Luna, their lips connected with euphoric faces.

"No…" Isaac's eyelids re-opened, and he managed to utter a word.

"What?" Oliver frowned, "You still didn't die? Bastard…" He pulled out the revolver, spun the cylinder, and aimed at Isaac's face.

Isaac smashed his hand against the floor and shouted, "Grand Priest's Miraculous Deed…"

"Slippery!"

Bang!
