White Onlinechapter 432: the final battle (1)

The sky was veiled in endless sheets of darkness. The clouds were dispersed across the dark sky, and a grayish crescent-shaped moon hung above it.

The streets of Snowstar were bathed in gentle light coming from the street lamps. A distant sound of cars echoed, and the sound of fading footsteps reverberated near the gates of the High School of Snowstar.

As the sound grew gradually more silent, a robed figure stepped out of the shadows of a nearby alleyway. Strands of white hair showed underneath the hood, and a very delicate face was engulfed in slight obscurity.

Isaac watched as the pedestrians slowly walked past the school's gates. They didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary, but he did.

The front door of the school had its windows shattered. Like someone had thrown a rock through the glass and used the hole in the window to slip hand inside and open the door.

The glass windows revealed a gloomy interior of the school that had been shrouded in darkness. Regardless, it appeared that nothing was happening inside.

Isaac believed Oliver was inside, possibly with his friends. There was no doubt they were watching the gate.

He snappily looked left and right, checking whether any cars or pedestrians were coming toward him. The street was empty, except for the distant figures that walked past the school street.

After not seeing anyone coming, Isaac dashed across the road and stopped next to the concrete wall. Then, he placed his hands against the wall and murmured something under his breath.

"Grand Priest's Miraculous Deed…"

"Man-sized hole!"

Crack…

A circular crack appeared in the wall, and soon a man-sized hole appeared in front of Isaac.

He crawled through it and stood up after entering the school's premises. Then, after straightening his back, he again clasped his hands together and murmured.

"Grand Priest's Miraculous Deed…"

"Fix!"

It took only a few minutes for the concrete powder to fill up the previous hole, and they connected like glued pieces together. After a short time, the hole was finally sealed.

Isaac crouched and felt the soft snow piles under his knee. His current location was on the southwest side of the school, surrounded by snow-filled trees. It was a small forest that was scarcely used by students, except those who go there to have some alone time with their friends or lovers.

Isaac rapped his finger against the tree and tried to see any signs of movement near the school. There wasn't any. It was like the whole school was abandoned.

A tiny sprout of bad feeling appeared in Isaac's heart. However, he didn't plan to chicken out this early.

Then, he again clasped his hands together and gazed toward the cameras that were videotaping the entire schoolyard. With a deep breath, his eyelids closed shut, and his lips moved up and down.

"Grand Priest's Miraculous Deed…"

"Destroy!"

Crack…

The camera's screen cracked, and its shell cracked wholly. It was like an invisible hand grabbed it and squeezed tightly.

Isaac quickly bolted out of the forest and ran straight toward the side entrance. In there, he did another prayer to make the hallways even darker so only he could see with his unnaturally good eyesight.

After the spell, Isaac clutched his chest with his right hand, greedily gasping for breath. The exhaustion and pain from using the spells without a large mana pool started affecting him.

Crack!

Then, Isaac smashed the door's tiny window, slipped his hand in, and twisted the doorknob from inside.

As the door opened, Isaac pulled his hand back and opened the door wide. Then, he rushed inside while his eyes scanned the whole hallway. There wasn't anyone on the lookout.

A frown found its way onto his face. Then, he turned left, bolted up the stairs, and arrived in the second floor's hallway. It was also empty.

He could only hear his rough breathing and the faint sound of cars engines humming on the streets.

Swoosh!

The windows were suddenly engulfed in a bright ray of light. As Isaac's eyes turned red after the sudden blaring of light, he also heard the sound of police sirens echoing throughout the school.

"The one hiding in the school! Come out with your hands in the air!" A police officer's shout came from the schoolyard.

Isaac peeked over the window frames and saw the yard suddenly having ten police cars with the sirens sending rays of blue and red lights. Then, there were twenty police officers. They all seemed to be armed.

"Heh… This wasn't Oliver's idea." Isaac knelt and rapped his knuckles against the tiled floor, "One of his lackeys must have created this bait…"

"Good… Oliver… Good!"

"You are making this more interesting… Heh, he did say that we can use trickery to win… By getting me arrested, he would win…"

"I bet all my wealth that he is currently grinning and snickering with his friend outside the school. Waiting to snap a picture of my arrest…"

"But… You made one mistake." Isaac's lip curved upward, and he touched the tiled floor with the palms of his hands. Then, his lips began moving as the sound of muttering rang in the dark corridor.

"Grand Priest's Miraculous Deed…"

"Snowstorm!"

Thick clouds extended across the sky. They appeared out of nowhere, and suddenly everything became even darker. That phenomenon wasn't outlooked by the police officers. They lifted their heads to see the darkening sky.

Then, small snowflakes began dropping down before it became a heavy downpour. The snow obstructed their vision, and they couldn't even see their partners next to them.

The snowstorm was only engulfing the school. Isaac's strength's limit was this. Trying to submerge the whole Snowstar in Snowstorm might honestly kill him.

As the police officers panicked outside, Isaac rushed toward the control room, where they kept the camera recordings. In there, he inserted a USB stick on the laptop and downloaded today's camera recordings.

The camera's must-have recorded Oliver or one of his friends breaking the window.

After the loading bar showed 100%, Isaac pocketed the USB stick with a grin and ran out of the school. The snowstorm covered his escape, and soon he had leaped over the small fence.
