The following day.
Flutter… Flutter…
Isaac casually flipped through the pages of the book he was holding. On the cover of the book, a dark-haired man was seen sitting on a throne, while an almost identical man stood right beside him.
It was the book he recently rented, Luminescent Swordsman.
''Wow… That was quite unexpected.'' Isaac said after reaching the end of another volume. Then, he closed the book and placed it on the bookshelf.
After doing so, a long-awaited sound traveled through the air of the Priesthood.
Ring… Ring… Ring…
The loud bells rang, and instantly, the nearby stores had their doors slammed open and closed.
The shopkeepers, ordinary civilians, and basically everyone started marching toward the High Temple.
Isaac left the store, closed the door behind, and followed the vast crowd.
Everywhere he looked, he saw a sea of people. Everyone had the same destination, and it was the High Temple.
The long stairs were already occupied by thousands of people, and slowly they walked up and reached the High Temple's yard.
Isaac saw several players. They weren't hard to notice, wearing heavy armory and metal weapons.
They seemed confused as they followed behind the crowd and looked way out of place.
Isaac, however, felt the strength of the Players, and everyone was as strong as him, if not stronger.
Soon, Isaac had reached the stairs and slowly walked up. There were elderly folks walking up ahead, which slowed down the walking even more.
After ten minutes, he finally reached the top and saw thousands kneeling in the yard, hands grabbed together in a praying gesture.
Isaac soon found his own place and knelt on the ground, his knees touching the coarse ground, hands slowly touching together, and fingers locked.
After half an hour, the High Temples doors opened, and two figures exited through separate doors.
The first figure was the High Priest, named Robert Highsoul, and following him were hundreds of Priests, looking very respectful and quiet.
Then, the second figure that exited another door was a High Priestess named Matilda Highsoul. Behind her were hundreds of beautiful Priestesses, everyone unique in their own way.
After Priests and Priestesses locked gazes, their faces turned hostile, and if it wasn't a Gods Bringing, they would throw all reasoning away and start a fist fight.
As Robert and Matilda saw each other, they let out a sigh before averting gazes. They were actually ex-husband and ex-wife.
Robert was a handsome man, around 40s of age with a still muscular body, dark hair, and blue eyes that shone brilliantly under the sunlight.
Matilda was an extremely beautiful woman with a tall body, around 190cm, and a heart-shaped face that increased her attractiveness to a whole new level. Even though she was beautiful, she had some cute facial features as well, like a pointy nose and pink-colored lips.
Then, the golden portal suddenly shone in brilliant colors. Slowly, the color turned ice blue, and a slight sense of coldness began seeping out.
But, no one flinched, not even one bit.
Slowly, a leg appeared that stepped out of the portal. The first thing that was noticeable was the pale leg with fragile-looking feet slipped inside blue-colored heels.
Then, the rest of the body became clear. The hair was beautifully white, eyes silverish, and the face that could be only seen in fairy tales inhumanly beautiful. Every feature of hers was delicate to the brim, but her body was hidden underneath the baggy robes.
The Priests, Priestesses, and everyone else inhaled their lungs full of air before shouting.
''Welcome to our humble city, Goddess of Snow, Khione!''
The voice rang throughout the city, and after that, everything quieted.
Isaac slowly raised his head to catch a glimpse of the famous Goddess and surprisingly saw her misty eyes turning to look at him!
Isaac's body instantly felt cold, like something seeped into his bones, 'C-C-Cold… M-M-Maybe she is still angry about my… Trolling?'
'Nah… No way… She is Goddess. There is no way that she still harbors some anger… Right? She can't be that childish… Yeah, she can't be…'
High Priest Robert, and High Priestess Matilda, slowly rose and looked straight at Khione. Both of them felt their breath slightly stop after seeing her but soon returned normal.
''Goddess of Snow, Khione, we are truly honored.''
''Right…'' Khione's melodious voice brought a sense of satisfaction to everyone who heard it.
The people present closed their eyes, enjoying the sense of mild cold that wasn't as cold as it could be.
Khione slowly stepped down the stairs and soon felt the coarse ground below her heels.
Robert and Matilda lowered their heads as the Snow Goddess walked past them.
Khione walked toward the thousands of ordinary citizens, who instantly showed their undying loyalty by lowering their heads even further.
Only Isaac and a hundred other Players continued kneeling in the same position, with slight wariness toward the unknown future.
''Everyone…'' Khione stopped in front of the kneeling people and said, ''Among you… There is a person… Who is not ordinary…''
The Priests and Priestess turned their gazes toward the Goddess, wondering what she meant by that.
The people, who were being blessed by Khione's presence, slowly rose their heads and felt immediately like they were submerged in heavy, godly existence.
''That person… Is… Somewhere here…'' Khione's lip slightly curved upward. She slowly extended her arm forth and pointed at everyone present.
After seeing her beautiful smile, everyone felt their breaths stopping.
In the middle of the citizens, Isaac frowned and continued looking at Khione. Even though the finger wasn't pointing at him, he felt like it actually was, but no one just could see it.
''Well… Anyway…'' Khione pulled her arm back and returned to the High Temple.
The High Priest, and High Priestess, followed by others, stepped aside and allowed Khione to walk inside.
After the doors were closed, High Priest Robert said, ''From now onward, till the end of next week, we are in a time of Gods Bringing, and remember, we are in the presence of Goddess.''
''Yes, High Priest!'' Everyone stood up, bowed respectfully, and then started walking down the long, rocky stairs
Isaac and the players were almost run over, but they soon managed to turn around and follow the crowd of people who were descending the long stairs.
