White Onlinechapter 416: the sails unravened!

"Young one, may I get your name?" The village chief shifted his body in the chair and leaned slightly closer. As everyone turned to look at the white-haired man, the children grew quieter.

"Wraith," Isaac replied with his in-game name. There was some confusion over his name.

"Alright… Wraith." The village chief then locked his fingers and asked, "Can you tell more about… The forest?"

Isaac nodded, "The forest is basically evil. There is something hideous hiding there, so I suggest that you stay as far away from it as possible."

The village chief nodded thoughtfully, "Hmm, yeah, a few of our Ancestors stumbled there and disappeared. From there on, it was forbidden forest."

"Can you tell me more about the village?" Jacqueline, his wife, asked with a wide smile crossing her face as her blue eyes glistened with curiosity.

"It is called Rainwell Village, and it is as the name suggests. Rain is very heavy there."

"What about the population?"

"Not much, a little bit over hundred, I think."

The villagers were still shocked by the number of people.

The village chief became thoughtful and said, "Those people in Rainwell Village… Might be our ancestors' offspring."

"They could have got lost in the forest, and when they didn't find a way out of the forest, they decided to continue living there until the chance to return came."

"But, as you said, the forest is evil? Right?"

Isaac nodded and said, "Yeah… Whatever is doing all the horrible things there don't want anyone to escape."

The village chief stood up. His tall figure sent a loom of shadow over Isaac, "We can't leave our family alone. That's why I will go there with a few of my trusted Guards and bring them back to their home."

"Did you not hear what I said? The forest is dangerous!" Isaac felt frustrated at their lack of knowledge. If there was a chance, he wouldn't stay near the forest, let alone go there again!

"Heh, we will be fine." The village chief, his family, and the villagers seemed confident, not scared a bit.

Isaac felt other emotions other than frustration— anger at their lack of care, but then, the village chief's nametag popped up.

[Village Chief - Roshward]

[Level: 299]

Isaac's eyes shook, and the eyes almost popped out of his sockets, 'Level 299… No, they weren't ignorant of the danger. They were confident to be able to save their family members!'

'They have enough strength to casually walk to Rainwell Village, pick up their family members, and return with no scratch on their bodies!'

"Thanks for the help, young one." Roshward bowed with gratitude, "If you need anything, just ask."

Isaac's breath quickened, and he nodded, "Well, can I get a boat? I need to get to the City of Priesthood?"

Roshward nodded and waved his hand. The fisherman that took Isaac to visit Roshward stepped forth and bowed.

"Murphy will take you there." He said and motioned for the Guards to follow after him. They would go plan for the expedition and leave after the next sun had risen.

His family returned to their living quarters, and Roshward's wife gave a hug to Isaac and a few words of gratitude.

After this, all the villagers returned to their homesteads, and everything that was said there soon reached the ears of all the villagers throughout the village.

It seems like the population of their small village would have an explosive rise.

Murphy took Isaac to the harbor. Walking along the street, they walked past the aroma of freshly-cooked fish.

Each of them breathed in the delicious aroma and purchased a fish for themselves. As soon as they reached the harbor, they boarded the fishing boat.

Murphy introduced his crew mates to Isaac. There were five, including Murphy, that usually go fishing.

They were all aged 50 to 60, and all of them had done fishing their entire lives. They were perhaps the best fishers found in the entire Spring Realm.

Upon unraveling the sails, Murphy and his crew set sail. As they started to sail toward the City of Priesthood, the waves started splashing against the vessel's hull.

As the seagulls flapped their wings in the blue sky, the bright sun warmed the weather, and a ray of sunshine flickered through the window.

As soon as everything had calmed down and the only thing left to do was sail towards their distance, the whole crew got themselves seated on several stools nailed to the wooden deck and sat for a while.

Due to Isaac's lack of prior knowledge of the City of Priesthood, he expected the fishermen to be aware of what to expect and began asking questions.

"What kind of place is the City of Priesthood?"

Murphy moved the bottle of soda away from his lips and said, "It is a beautiful city. It could be called Creation of Gods."

His crew mate continued, "They worship Gods heavily there. That's why it is City with the most Churches, and every adult, teenager, child, and even baby prays at least once every month to the Gods."

"Oh, are the Gods present there?" Isaac asked.

"Yes, very." Murphy said, "Once in a month, God ascends from God Realm, and helps them with whatever problem the City is facing, and does one teaching ceremony in the High Church."

"Wow." Isaac already felt inquired about the City.

"But… There is one problem." A crew mate said with a wry smile.

"Hmm?" Isaac turned to look at the hunched-back crew mater.

Murphy continued, "The two factions are in a war, there."

"War?" Isaac frowned, and the beautiful paradise began crumbling in his mind.

"Ah." Murphy shook his hands after Isaac seemed to understand wrong, "They don't fight or anything like that."

"They are, after all, subjects of the same Gods, and they are basically allies, as such. But, they still hate each other."

"The factions are Male Priests and Female Priestesses… No one knows what happened for them to have such enmity between each other."

"Hmm…" Isaac rubbed his chin and asked, "Are there many Priests and Priestesses there?"

"Oh, yeah!" Murphy let out a laugh, "Thousands in each camp. Every time you go outside, you will see them roaming the streets."

"And remember, whatever you do there, don't mock the Gods. That will make everyone hate you."

"Of course." Isaac nodded and thought it was obvious.

"Good… And, they basically worship Godly Legacy Carriers."

Isaac raised his eyebrow and asked, "What about Mythical?"

"Well…" Murphy bit his lip and shrugged his shoulders, "That is a slightly harder question."

"It depends on whose Legacy they are carrying. There are few Mythical Legacies that they despise, while others are loved."
