"I-I can?" Maxwell nodded at Isaac's shaky question.
Isaac put the coat over him and tucked his arms into the sleeves. As soon as he did that, a certain kind of aura began to emanate from him. As if the whole world had encircled him.
Isaac's eyes were glistening with reflections of different worlds and civilizations. He then started to blink less, and his hair started floating.
'This is… Power of God?' His cells were submerged in a sea of pleasure, "This is… Very addictive."
"I know." Maxwell replied with a deep sigh, "It was… Hard for me to stop losing control."
"If even I had difficulties… I really hope the Souldeath family doesn't find out about the purpose of the Grand Priest coat… That could lead to disaster!"
After grasping tightly at the string of reasoning, Isaac closed his eyes for a few seconds, took several rapid breaths, and opened his eyes again.
A squirming sensation ensued as he pressed his hands together. His eyebrows scrunched up, and he noticed that the veins had popped up. A light red appeared on his face, and there were vessels visible beneath the surface of his skin.
"W-W-Why is nothing happening?" He asked after stopping trying to make a spell. Just by trying, he was utterly exhausted.
"Haha." Maxwell let out a peal of laughter and said, "You need to say specific keywords… Say, Grand Priest's Miraculous Deed, then say what you want to accomplish."
"Alright…" Isaac took a deep breath and put his palms together again. His heartbeat returned to its usual calm as he softly closed his eyes.
"Grand Priest's Miraculous Deed…" Instantly, his palms shone in a brilliant glow of white. It was only then that the coat around him began to flap around him, and his hair strands rose up.
Maxwell raised his eyebrow, and his eyes slightly shook, 'His… Magic power is above mine? How is that possible… He wasn't Spellcaster or Priest.'
Isaac slammed his hands against the damaged box, and his eyes snapped open.
"Fix!"
In a matter of seconds, the box began shaking, and with that, the cracks along the edges with holes in the side began to heal. The removed lid flew across the attic and landed on top of the box. All the cracks were patched, and the lid fitted perfectly.
Soon, the box was brand new, and even the previous worn-out letters were newly painted.
"Hahahahaha!" Isaac couldn't help but laugh. As a child, he had fantasized about battling demonic dragons using shiny spells and complex magical ruins.
Maxwell grinned, and he had the exact same reaction when he did it the first time.
Then, Isaac placed the palms on his chest and said, "Grand Priest's Miraculous Deed."
"Taller!"
The soft glow soon disappeared, and Isaac's eyelids fluttered as he slowly opened them. The spell should have made him taller, but it had no effect.
He looked confused.
"Hahahahaha!" Maxwell burst into laughter, "The miracles won't work on humans or anything that is living. Only environment, and objects such as the box, unfortunately."
"Ahh…" Isaac sighed in disappointment. He slipped his arms out of the sleeves, took off the coat, and returned it to Maxwell.
"Since you managed to find this… I can assume others might as well…" Maxwell frowned, wondering where he could hide it.
"I can keep it in safekeeping. No one visits my room anyway," Isaac suggested.
Maxwell thought for a moment and nodded. He gave it back to Isaac and said, "Remember, not even Arthur knows I have this… Keep it secret."
"Of course." Isaac nodded.
…
2 days later.
Monday Morning.
"Where is it?" Marvin peered into the cabinet and rummaged through the cluttered contents, filled with books, pencils, and protruding screws, some of which were rusty.
Slam!
He slammed the cabinet's shelf shut and quickly rummaged through another shelf.
"Marvin, hurry up!" His father's, Maxwell's, shout came from downstairs.
"Fuck it!" Marvin grabbed his VR Helmet, stuffed it inside his backpack, and ran out of the room.
Downstairs, his father was waiting next to the wide-open door. His siblings, Sophia, Alice, and Mark, were already seated in the car.
Maxwell pointed at his wristwatch, "What took so long?"
Marvin shrugged his shoulders and skipped out of the mansion. Then, he entered the front seat and placed the backpack into the leg-resting space.
After leaving the yard, the car continued to drive toward the Heart of Snowstar, where the schools were located.
College, which Marvel goes to, was opposite Snowstar High School, only walking distance away.
Soon, the car reached the Heart of Snowstar, and Maxwell parked next to the High School's entrance.
"Have a nice day," Maxwell said as others left the cars. Only Mark was still sitting in the backseat, fiddling around with his phone. His school was further away.
Bam!
After closing the door, Marvin crossed the street with Sophia, whose ears were plugged with earbuds and a school book open in her arms.
Alice entered the school through the gates, and she immediately attracted a lot of attention. Several rather handsome and cute-looking young men tried to attract her attention but only received a cold shoulder.
Students that were walking in the same direction as Marvin looked frightened as he walked by. Marvin's towering figure caused them to flee.
Soon, he reached the gates of the College. The gate was crescent-shaped, with a sign above it describing the College of Snow.
A snowbank surrounded the College's yard, and its massive building was covered in snow. There were three entrances to the school, shaped like a crescent moon, so there was a lot of traffic in and out.
A total of four streets led out of the Heart of Snowstar, making the College of Snow one of the most visible buildings in Snowstar.
The college building had four floors, each with hundreds of windows, allowing plenty of natural light, so overhead lights and light bulbs were unnecessary.
As soon as Marvin stepped inside the schoolyard, he continued to skip forward, leaving behind him a frightened group of students who sighed in relief, knowing that they had survived another day.
Sophia entered the yard after a short while, holding the book tightly in her hands.
After her feet landed on the yard, she was immediately surrounded by dozens and dozens of pale-looking women, who were all beautiful in their own way.
"Mistress Sophia, a-a-are the rumors true?" They asked with breath-stopping voices.
Sophia raised her face away from the book and nodded with a solemn look, "It is… Some vixen managed to capture my brother's heart…"
The women held their chests with heart-wrenching pain.
After sighing, Sophia slammed her book shut, "Call others. It is time for Cult of White to have their annual meeting slightly ahead of time."
"Yes, Leader!"
