White Onlinechapter 390: bird and bees.

In Snowflower Residence.

In the room with pink-colored walls and a comfy atmosphere, Luna was lying flat on their stomach on her moderate-sized bed with a touchscreen phone in her hands.

Her hair was slightly wet after a semi-short shower session, and her pajamas embraced her body tightly.

On top of a small desk, her Legendary VR Helmet was connected with wires, and the visor continued beeping. Every now and then, it showed the words Downtime and the countdown slowly ticking down.

''Mmmh… Hmmm…'' A calm and sweet sound of humming left through her slightly closed lips. A pleasant look was drawn on her face, and the things she saw on the phone made her hum with satisfaction.

Creak…

Then, the door opened, and a whiff of perfume lingered in the room. Mariah scanned the room while standing in the doorway with furrowed brows and narrowed eyes.

Her nose was slightly scrunched up as she sniffed the air. She couldn't smell anything except her own perfume. That caused her muscles to relax, and she finally stepped inside the room.

However, at that moment, her feet halted, and she saw an old pile of clothes on top of a clothing rack.

''What are you doing?'' Luna looked at her mother with an innocent gaze. She felt slightly amused at her mother's suspicious behavior. For some reason, she studied the whole room thoroughly to ensure that nothing unholy happened yesterday.

''Nothing…'' Mariah replied with a still suspicious look. When she saw the pile of clothes, she was frightened because yesterday her beloved daughter and Isaac had stayed in this room for countless hours.

She could hear Luna's giggles several times, and every time she felt like something grabbed her heart and squeezed it. The flashes of images surfaced in her mind. She thought about all sorts of unholy things that could have happened here.

Luna moved into a sitting position and pocketed her phone. Then, Mariah sat next to her and asked.

''What did you want to talk to me about?''

''Ah right.'' Luna forgot that she had told her mother to visit her, ''Can I visit Isaac today?''

''No!'' Sin's sharp voice came downstairs. It was like he had eagle-like ears. Yesterday, he heard terrifying news. While he was working, a certain hyena visited their house.

Luna's cheeks inflated, ''Why not!''

''You are still young!''

''I am 18!''

''Still! He is a boy with hormones running wild!''

''Hormones?'' Luna tilted her head. She had no clue what her father meant by that.

Mariah's cheeks slightly reddened, ''Your father is worried that you two might do something… Indecent.''

Luna's cheeks went pink, and the quilt began overflowing. Since she was young, she had told everything to her mother, and the quilt forced her to tell her secret.

She leaned closer and whispered, ''Mom, I have a secret…''

''Hmm?'' Mariah's ears perked up. She listened closely.

''We already did something…'' Luna's face was dyed in embarrassment as she uttered the words, ''Indecent…''

Mariah's face went pale like she saw her worst nightmares coming to light. A trail of blood trickled down her mouth as she accidentally bit her lip.

''Y-Y-Y-You are still too young to be a mother!''

''Mother?'' Luna soon realized what she meant by that, and her face instantly turned pale white, ''W-W-Wait, are you saying kissing makes me pregnant?! I didn't know!''

Beads of tear brimmed down in her cute round eyes.

''How can I be a mother with my condition… My poor baby will suffer!'' She covered her face with tears gushing out from the gaps of her fingers.

Mariah's face returned normal with a slight twitch of the eyebrow, ''W-W-Wait, kissing? Is that the indecent thing you two were doing?''

Luna stopped covering her face and nodded with her tear-stained face.

Mariah patted her chest with a deep sigh of relief, ''I-I misunderstood. Kissing doesn't make you pregnant. No need to worry.''

''Really?!'' Luna's tears stopped falling as she saw a string of hope in the distance.

''The indecent thing I talked about was… More, intimate.'' Mariah slightly averted her gaze, not daring to look at her daughter's eyes. Since Luna grew into an adult, Mariah hoped she wouldn't have to do this talk.

The primary reason was she hoped that Luna would stay with her and Sin forever, without any boy coming to disturb their family. But, it didn't go as planned, and Winter Illness was one of the biggest reasons they wanted to spend as much time with Luna as possible.

Most of the time, they were too busy to visit the hospital, even though they spent almost all their free time there.

''There is something more indecent than kissing?'' Luna's face showed shock, and she leaned closer to know what it was.

'I need to tell her before she is tricked into doing something she doesn't know the importance of…' Mariah clenched her fist and turned to look at her beautiful daughter.

She began telling stories about bees and birds with hand signals. During the whole talk, her face was flushed in embarrassment, and she could see her daughter's face showing shock with redness spreading from her neck to ears.

After the talk, Luna's whole face was red, her eyes hazy, and her legs tightly closed.

''R-R-Remember.'' Mariah put a lot of importance into her following words, ''O-Only do it with the person you love!''

She stood up and left the room as quickly as possible. After slamming the door shut, she slumped on the floor with embarrassment budding from every corner of her body.

Inside the room.

The words her mother said rang in her mind, ''Person you love… Love… Love…''

She slightly turned her head to the right and pulled out her phone. Once the dark screen was turned on, the wallpaper showed a white-haired young man. The photo was taken from an awkward angle, obviously a picture that was taken sneakily.

''With the person you love…''

Her lips curved upward as she nodded with clarity shining in her eyes, ''I now know what to do… Thanks, mom!''

Her mother, Mariah's, plan of making clear boundaries between her daughter, and Isaac, didn't go as planned. Instead, it had a completely different outcome than she would have ever expected.
