Kizone grabbed Oxwell's ruff and questioned angrily, ''What the hell are you planning?''
''Hmph!'' Oxwell snorted and pushed Kizone to the side. He turned around and walked toward his friend, who was already waiting for him.
Behind his friend, an extremely strong-looking group was looking at Kizone without any shred of respect.
Kizone gritted his teeth and turned around. He could sense just with a glance that his team was nothing compared to them.
Below the slope, hundreds of voices overlapped each other. Each one of them said that Wraith should try it out.
In their eyes, he was immortal, making him an obvious choice to be the meat shield.
Isaac jumped off the tiny cliff, while Kizone and the Medic tried to stop him but couldn't grab him in time.
Thud!
He landed on the ground, sending a cloud of dust flying around.
Every voice went silent, and everyone near him took a step back.
Isaac raised his head, and his gray eyes made everyone's skin have goosebumps.
He stepped forth and began walking toward the entrance. Everyone who was blocking his path stepped to the side.
Soon, he arrived in front of the statue. Isaac saw the path in front of him but was also amazed at the statue's length. When he was further away, he couldn't correctly tell how tall it was.
If he had to guess, he would have said that the statue was around 20 meters in height.
Isaac rubbed the back of his head and looked behind him. Everyone was looking at him with scrutinizing gazes. Then, he noticed many familiar faces. Members belonging to Black Arrow, Golden Crown, and League of Assassins.
There was Darkside, who was surprisingly not with the League of Assassins. They were gathered around Deathsong, and at first glance, it looked like they had kicked Darkside out of their Guild.
However, Darkside didn't seem to care. Behind him, a group draped in dark tattered rags sent a chilly aura toward everyone close to them.
Queen Diana and Darth were standing in front of the Black Arrow Members. Their faces didn't look good, and the reason was quite clear.
''Hmm…'' King Jonathan grabbed the hilt of his sword and looked at Isaac with a deep look. He had one of the largest teams around, and there was a reason for it.
In the past event, he was the second person to complete Hidden Dungeon. That increased fame of the Golden Crown Guild explosively.
Queen Diana was the sixth one to complete, and Darth was the seventh. That gave them much-needed fame. After all, everyone would like to join a Guild with a strong Guild Master and Vice Guild Master.
However, they only brought their Core Members to the expedition.
Every player who completed Hidden Dungeon was relatively known, except the last player, named Lionsoul.
No one had ever heard about him, which made him quite famous.
Isaac turned his gaze away and focused on the path ahead. He took a breath and stepped forth. Soon, his body crossed the small distance, and he saw the corridor more clearly.
There were rocky walls with holes, and the ground was filled with two-colored tiles, brown and white.
The way tiles were placed was utterly random. At some point, brown and white tiles were next to each other. Then, the next row might be fully white-colored tiles.
'Those are definitely traps.' Isaac thought as he looked at the holes. He heard about the discussion that hundreds of poison arrows attacked the first expedition team, and they couldn't even fight back as they died.
Isaac dropped his gaze and saw the different colored tiles. He put his hand on his chin and began pondering.
The Players outside looked at him with serious looks. Everyone was examining every move of his.
Many of them were skeptical. Not everyone believed that he was genuinely immortal. But, they wanted to get some clues on how to pass the first test.
They couldn't care less if he died.
'Wait…' Isaac's gray eyes dilated. He examined the brown tiles very thoroughly, and he remembered the text written on the statue.
Gulp!
He wasn't sure whether he should risk everything on a hunch, but having White Death was reassuring.
''Fine… Leap of faith.'' Isaac raised his leg. It hovered right above the brown tile. Everyone outside narrowed their eyes and watched as Isaac's leg slowly lowered.
Tap!
Isaac closed his eyes after putting his foot down. He waited for a second, and nothing happened. Then, five seconds later, he opened his eyes.
''Whew…'' He wiped his sweat and placed his other foot on the brown tile. Then, in the second row, there were only white tiles.
He leaped across and landed on the third row's right tile, which was in the color brown. Again, nothing happened.
Now, the Players outside understood that he had found out something!
King Jonathan stood up and grinned, 'Brown tiles!'
He looked at his members and said, ''Follow me.''
Soon, everyone saw a group of armored figures with golden crown symbols striding toward the entrance.
Darkside snorted and began walking. The tattered men followed after him. No one dared to stand in their path.
Deathsong narrowed his eyes as Darkside walked past him. Their eyes didn't lock because Darkside couldn't care less about him.
Soon, more Players began walking toward the entrance. Oxwell gritted his teeth after seeing the white-haired man somehow surviving!
His friend looked at his expedition team, and they began whispering. Soon, they decided and began walking toward the entrance, followed by annoyed Oxwell.
Kizone and his expedition team were rushing toward the entrance packed with players.
Inside the pathway, Isaac reached the last tile and entered the end. He took a breath of relief and saw a very dark path ahead. However, the end of the path had a light.
Then, he heard the hurried footsteps coming from the entrance. He looked behind and saw a crowd of players entering the pathway, led by King Jonathan.
They locked their eyes and nodded. Isaac turned around and began walking in the dark path while King Jonathan crossed the path with incredible agility.
It took him only five seconds to reach the end.
