In the Legacy Company's Headquarters.
Arthur smiled and closed the computer.
''Eh, why did you stop watching?'' Emilia asked with a frown.
''It's fine...'' Arthur stood up and felt his body feeling lighter, ''And... File a report that said that Code Red alert was because a bug appeared, but Arthur fixed it by himself.''
Emilia looked surprised but nodded, ''Yes!''
Arthur put his hands on his pockets and left his office while humming a song.
Emilia still looked confused and remembered the scene of Maxwell bowing towards the screen, and his mouth moved, but she didn't know what he said because there wasn't any sound coming.
But, she knew that Arthur was a master of lip reading, and he must have understood Maxwell perfectly.
Emilia very desperately wanted to know what made Arthur so happy because even she can't make him that happy, no matter what she does, and she started pouting as jealousy was growing inside her.
But, she had to make a false report and send it to the board of Directors.
...
Maxwell lifted his head and saw Isaac's confused face.
''Now, want to ask questions?'' He asked but then reminded Isaac, ''There are some questions I can't answer yet.''
Isaac nodded and pondered what could be his first question, but soon a thought appeared on his mind.
''Can everyone else teleport to the real world as well?''
Maxwell shook his head, ''No, to enter the real world, you need to have a Mythical VR Helmet, a Teleportation Pearl, and Legacy.''
''B-But, I don't have a legacy,'' Isaac said with a slight stutter.
Maxwell looked Isaac straight in the eye and asked, ''Are you Legacy Contender?''
Isaac's eyes widened in shock, which gave Maxwell the answer.
He patted his son's shoulder and said, ''Because you are only Legacy Contender, you can't stay in the real world for too long.''
''You mean...'' Isaac looked at his own body lying on the bed, ''I will soon be teleported away?''
''That's correct.'' Maxwell nodded and continued, ''When you have Legacy, you can stay for longer periods of time, but it has limits since the avatars of White Online simply can't handle the air of this world.''
Isaac nodded and then asked a second question, ''Remember how my real-world self grew 5 centimeters out of nowhere?''
Maxwell nodded and then widened his eyes in shock, ''Y-You mean?''
''I think it is because of White Online, what is the meaning of that?''
Maxwell sighed, ''Once you get Legacy, you will see much bigger changes. Because you are only Legacy Contender, the changes are quite tame, but the Legacy will morph you into a similar being as the one, whom you got the Legacy from.''
''What do you mean by similar being?'' Isaac asked, ''Like, I will look similar as the legacy owner, or?''
Maxwell shook his head, ''No, if your Legacy Owner is skinny as a skeleton, you can still look like a bodybuilder.''
''Then what did you mean?''
''You will inherit the Legacy Owner's skills and will. Those will be deeply rooted in your bones, and you can't get rid of them. If someone gets evil Legacy, most likely that person itself will become evil.''
Isaac widened his eyes in shock and now kept wondering was getting Legacy really good idea if he will change because of it.
''Does everyone who got Legacy to have effects on the real world?'' Isaac asked, ''Won't that cause massive chaos?''
Maxwell shook his head, ''No... That's where Mythical VR Helmet comes. Arthur made it so that only Mythical VR Helmet can affect the real world and not any other Helmet. Users of Legendary Helmet will be very ordinary compared to Mythical users.''
Isaac took a deep breath and nodded.
''Any other questions?'' He asked one last time.
Isaac pondered for quite some time before asking, ''Why? How come White Online is connected with our world?''
''I am sorry... But I can't answer that.'' Maxwell said and stood up.
He gave a few pats on Isaac's shoulder and said, ''Answers will be revealed in the future.'' He started walking towards the door but soon heard another question from Isaac.
''In White Online, I visited a moon, and I saw our world from there...'' Isaac turned his head to look at his father, ''Was I really in the moon?''
Maxwell opened the door and took one step out of the room before answering, ''Yes.''
*Bam*
The door closed after he left, leaving shocked Isaac behind.
''Unbelievable...'' Today, Isaac's sense of realism was lifted upside down.
''I wonder do I want the Legacy anymore... What if it will change me until I am no longer... Me...'' Tomorrow will be the Legacy Tournament, and only 15 hours or so before it commences, Isaac started having doubts.
He put his hands to cover his face and felt scared of him changing to something he wasn't, but then thoughts about losing in the tournament also appeared on his mind.
''That's right... What chances do I actually have in a victory.'' Isaac chuckled and shook his head, thinking he was foolish of even thinking like he had already won.
''Maybe I should join for experience...'' He shrugged, and thoughts about almost completely abandoning the tournament also appeared on his head.
Soon, his thoughts were interrupted as he saw his hands becoming transparent!
He looked at his hands and saw them becoming pixels!
''I am getting teleported away!'' Isaac didn't want to leave yet, but his avatar didn't listen to him and started turning into pixels quicker.
He stopped struggling and waited for him to turn completely into pixels. His fingers and toes were already turned into pixels, but then he had a thought on his mind.
'I wonder, is that possible...' He turned to look at his own face underneath the visor and quickly said, ''Interface.''
A holographic screen appeared, and he used his head to slam it on the Inventory button.
He used his teeth to grab an item from the Inventory and dropped it down on the bed.
It was the Flintlock Pistol... His first ever proper weapon alongside the slingshot.
''Don't disappear...'' He hoped, and soon half of his body was turned into pixels, while there was nothing happening on the Flintlock Pistol.
''Ah, right!'' He once again used his teeth and took a leather pouch from the Inventory, and dropped it next to Flintlock Pistol.
It was a leather pouch that contained Flintlock Pistol's bullets.
His body soon turned into pixels and completely disappeared from the World of Four Seasons.
While.... The Flintlock Pistol and the leather pouch were still there!
