Two figures stood next to each other, wearing all-black, from head to toe, and masks that hid their identities.

"Did you cut the surveillance?" The first person asked, undoubtedly a man given his stature and physique.

"Yes. The path is clear." The second person, who was much shorter and undoubtedly a girl, replied.

"Let's go."

And with that call, the two ran forward before they effortlessly jumped over a wall, and landed inside a lawn, light as a feather, without any sound, and with another step, they jumped again, and this time, they stepped right onto the balcony of the Mansion.

They had successfully avoided the detection of the guards at the Mansion, and strangely, the dogs had not caught their presence either.

Had anyone witnessed this scene, they would have stood there in disbelief.

These two people had covered a distance of nearly two hundred metres in just two jumps. It was undoubtedly impossible for an ordinary Mortal to do such a thing.

The girl quickly looked around before she followed the man inside the house, and the door of the balcony opened on its own when they neared it and silently closed behind them when they passed through it.

No, it was not an automated door. Which meant that something else was in play here.

<Go> The man signalled with a hand sign, and the girl immediately rushed to the left corridor whilst he walked to the right.

He seemed familiar with the layout of this Mansion as he quickly found the room he was looking for in this beautiful house.

Once again, the door opened on its own, without any noise, and closed behind him as he entered the room.

It was a very spacious room and well-decorated as a Master Bedroom should be. But the man did not seem to have come here to look around.

He walked straight to the bed and then took a vial from his pocket before dousing the pillows in the strange colourless and odourless liquid that dried up as soon as it touched the fabric. Then, he put the last drop of liquid in the jug of water that was placed inside the room on a small table.

His job here was done now, and he simply walked out to head downstairs.

There were a few maids still inside the house at this hour, and they seemed to be waiting for the arrival of their Master. However, even when he walked past them, they failed to detect him.

His footsteps had no sound, and it did not look like he was being cautious about them either. He was walking very normally.

Without any hindrance, he reached the room he was looking for and entered it.

It was a much simpler room; in fact, it was very simple, with only essentials present inside it.

The man only took a glance around the room before he walked over and a took a seat on a chair at a small table and simply closed his eyes, waiting for his target to come to this room.

Exactly, sixteen minutes later, a car pulled outside the house, and four individuals exited it, a young man and a woman, a middle-aged woman, and an old man.

"I am tired." The young woman with blonde hair pouted. "I don't like these parties." She voiced her dissatisfaction, and she seemed a little uncomfortable in high heels.

"You will have to get used to them." Her mother gently smiled at her. "Good night, Mathew!" She then smiled at the young man and reached forward to plant a kiss on his cheek.

"Good night, Aunty." The Child of Destiny smiled at her and then kissed Stella who shyly tiptoed to receive it.

"Come," Then under her mother's lead, the girl walked inside the house.

She had always hated the woman who was holding her hand right now, but at the same time, she had always yearned for her too.

In just a few days since they had met, she had grown quite attached to her, and though she still blamed her for not being in her life and hurting her father, she now understood the circumstances that surrounded her mother back then.

Though it was still selfish of her to choose money and power over her child, since her beloved Mathew wanted her to forgive her and give her a chance, Stella obediently listened to him. Then again, the woman was her mother and seemed repentant about her actions.

It was only fair that she gave her a chance.

After the two ladies walked inside the house, Mathew and Albert stayed outside to talk about a few important things.

It was mostly related to the business opportunities that Valaena had opened for them, and Mathew wanted to secure them as soon as possible.

The two men entered the house several minutes later, and Mathew headed straight to his room after asking a maid to deliver him something light to eat.

Albert, on the other hand, went to the Study to do what Mathew wanted him to do. He had to make a few calls, and then wait for their company's Financial Department to send him a report. He only got free from all the work an hour later.

Mathew, who had freshened up and taken his meal, poured himself some water that was placed inside the room and then walked to the bed, sighing as he got into it and placed his head on the soft pillow.

He had failed again tonight to plant the Ensnaring Perfume on the Goldsmith Twins, but now he had decided to use another approach, which was bound to work if he got another chance. Even if he did not get one, he planned on making one. The risks would be worth it. After all, the System Rewards were a little too lucrative.

Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes, putting away the depressing thoughts about how he had gotten humiliated again, this time, by that despicable Demiliore's wife.

But when Amelia's face appeared in his mind, he recalled the warning of the System.

The System had told him not to antagonise the enchantingly beautiful lady that stood in front of him or he would only face death.

It was something that shocked them, and even now, he was in a little disbelief.

"Is she really that strong?"

[Yes, Host] The System replied. [Amelia Jane Demiliore nee Mourntale is not someone you should antagonise at all costs. You have a 0% chance of survival against her and a 0% chance of ever conquering her.]

"Not even when I am stronger?"

[Never, Host. The System requests the Host to listen to its words and not associate himself with Amelia Demiliore and her Husband.]

"You make it sound like I am some sort of lowly existence before her." He frowned, and the silence from the System agitated him more.

Mathew had vowed that he would never let anyone look down on him again, not even the System. But right now, he was indeed weak and there was nothing he could do.

The System had suggested resigning the Quests, but Mathew refused to give up on them unless he had tried his best. It was a matter of his pride now, and resigning the Quests came with their respective penalties.

He took a deep breath, and within a few minutes, he drifted off to a deep sleep, unaware that it was not natural.

On the other side, Albert entered the room after allowing the maids to leave for the night, and just when he turned around after closing the door behind him, he felt dizzy and lost consciousness.

The tall figure that was standing right behind him effortlessly picked him up with one hand and then placed him on the bed.

A few seconds later, the door of the room opened, and in walked the girl in black.

She obediently stood beside her companion, curiously watching what he was doing, and she tilted her head when she watched her Senpai feed the old man a couple of potions before engulfing his body in a black flame.

The old man's body floated in the air as Darkness seeped into his body and mind, and then her companion started whispering something in the ears of the man in a strange language that she could not understand.

"What did you do to him, Senpai?"

Seeing the Darkness recede, she could not help her curiosity anymore and asked the question as soon as the old man was placed back on his bed.

"I created a Minion. It's a Dark Magic." He replied, and as if on cue, the old man woke up and immediately got up before kneeling in front of him.

"My Lord."

"Go. Do as I have asked you."

"Yes, My Lord!" The old man obediently stood up and then walked out of the room.

"So, he's your puppet now?" The girl asked as she watched the old man leave.

She knew where he was headed.

"For a couple of hours before he dies because of his crumbling mind and soul."

"Oh." She nodded her head. "I want to learn this too!" She then enthusiastically said.

"Not yet." Her companion shook his head, but she was elated with that answer as it meant that he would teach her this art at some point in time.

"Let's go, Senpai. I want to watch the fun!" She impatiently said as she now understood what her Master had planned.

She loved watching people suffer, especially when her Master made them suffer, and she did not want to miss out on this show that he had prepared.

"Wait a couple of minutes." He said, and she obediently waited by his side.
