Flower Street, one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in Mystich City, erupted into chaos as soon as two beautiful high-school girls walked out of a shop, holding a pair of bouquets and wearing warm smiles on their faces.
Their smiles did not last long as the bodyguard waiting for them outside the shop suddenly dropped to his knees and fainted. Behind him, stood a tall man with a half-covered face, menacingly looking at the two girls who subconsciously stepped back but stopped as they felt something cold and metallic kiss their backs.
"Quiet. Or you die." Someone coldly whispered to them, and their faces paled in fear.
Their eyes frantically looked around to see if someone would help them, but this was the hour of the day when Flower Street was not very crowded.
A black SUV suddenly pulled up behind the car they had come there in, and then they were ushered to enter it.
The tall man, who had taken care of their bodyguard, picked up the man and helped him into the vehicle, and just when he opened the backdoor of the SUV, someday called to them from inside the shop.
"Is everything alright?" It was an old lady, the florist who had just served the two girls, and she was frowning as she looked at seven men in black, two of them standing very close to the girls.
Even though no one answered her, the trembling bodies of the two girls and the eyes that were asking for help told her that something very wrong was happening there.
"Help!!! They have guns!" To the shock and dismay of the men in black and even the two girls, the old lady shouted.
It was a very dumb action, as it could cost her life. One of the men, who was very alarmed did raise his hand that was holding the gun and pulled it at her.
Mathew, who was waiting for the right moment, was suddenly elated when he saw the scene and rushed out of the shop with his bodyguards. However, someone beat him to it.
A thud sounded out, followed by a scream and something metallic dropping on the concrete floor.
"Ahhh!"
The man who had pulled the gun at the old lady no longer had his weapon in his hand, he was screaming in agony as he held onto his hand that has suddenly been hit by a paperweight.
Everyone turned around to find the culprit, and by the time a few pairs of eyes caught him, he had already rushed behind the men who were standing behind the two girls.
He expertly disarmed the two men, showcasing a series of manoeuvres that could only be seen in some action-packed movies. After putting the two men to sleep with quick blows to their heads, he started dealing with the other goons who intended to rush forward and grab the girls.
A round-house kick squarely landed on one man's head. There was a clear noise of his skull breaking, and it sent chills up everyone's spine.
Everyone was so entranced by how effortlessly the man fought against the goons, but it was only until they heard a gutshot, and then another.
It was a man wearing a mask who had just come out of the SUV.
The first shot hit one of his partners and the by the time he pulled the trigger again, the attacker has already arrived at him and managed to deflect his hand just at the right moment.
However, just like before this gunshot was followed by a scream as well. Only this time, it was a handsome man in a black suit, who was on his knees and clutching his bloodied shoulder.
Yes, the stray bullet had hit Mathew, who had been standing on the side, shocked by how effortlessly Keith was dealing with all the enemies.
Mathew's scream alarmed the passerby, who started to rush away from the place, and the two girls dropped to the ground as they fearfully watched the last two men pull their guns at Keith.
He was still busy dealing with two goons.
"Behind you!" One of the girls called out in alarm, and Keith immediately ducked before the gunshot sounded out, and then he picked up the pistol from the ground and rolled forward before crouching on one knee and firing two shots in succession, both of which hit the two men right between their eyebrows, ending their lives.
Seeing the two men die at his hands so effortlessly froze everyone, and even Mathew, whose face was grimacing in pain could not help but stare at Keith, whose marksmanship was seemingly even better than all the fictitious characters in the movies.
But then something happened that chilled his heart.
Under the eyes of people, Keith simply picked up another pistol from the ground and then started putting bullets into the heads of men who were already fainted.
It was cold-blood killing. There was simply no need for this, but he still did it.
His action alarmed a Latino man, who was rushing to the scene with two other men, and he immediately pulled his gun and aimed at Keith.
"Stop..." But before he could speak his words, another gunshot sounded out and he screamed in agony. "Ahhh!!"
The man frantically looked at his hand that had been shot.
"Dino!" One of the bodyguards who was standing behind Mathew worriedly called out to his friend.
Keith frowned when he saw the scene and then looked at Mathew.
"Your person?" He lightly asked.
"Yes." Mathew subconsciously answered, too fearful of Keith at this moment.
The man was mad! He was killing people in cold blood, right in front of everyone! And he even shot a man who was about to ask him to stop.
"He should not have pulled the gun at me." He lightly smiled and then walked over to the last goon, who had woken up after hearing all the gunshots.
"Please... don't.." He begged for his life as he started crawling back, but Keith simply aimed the pistol at him and pulled the trigger.
With all of them dead now, he proceeded to dismantle the guns before dropping them on the ground. Then he picked up the last gun and checked the magazine before tucking it in his pants.
"Did you call the rescue service?" He turned to Mathew and asked.
"We did." One of Mathew's bodyguards answered.
"Keep pressure on the wound." He indifferently said before looking at the two girls, whose faces were pale in shock and fear.
"Let's go. I will drop you home." He smiled at them.
Mathew frowned when he saw Keith approach his targets, but before he could say anything, one of the girls spoke.
"Yes, Brother." She obediently stood up, and hearing her sister's voice, the younger sister immediately regained her bearings and then unceremoniously rushed into Keith's arm before starting to cry.
"It's fine." He gently told her and then turned to nod to Zoey, who had witnessed everything and was standing at the door of the nearby shop, frozen in her place. "Let's go, Zoey."
Mathew could only watch in pain as the three girls entered the Cadillac with Keith and left the place.
Only then did he realise the gravity of the situation and then he sighed and lamented what had happened.
"Is this Karma?" He asked himself and sighed.
He planned on fighting against the goons and after finding the right opportunity, he wanted a stray bullet to catch Keith. But it was he who ended up with one in his shoulder.
A bead of cold sweat trickled down his forehead when he realised that it could have hit his head too, or any other place which could have proven fatal.
And now, with the scent of blood reaching him, and seeing all the dead bodies, he started feeling nauseous and dizzy.
However, a sudden thought crossed his mind and jolted him wide awake.
Keith Demiliore had killed people in cold blood in front of so many witnesses, and there were cameras around the place too.
"Rico."
"Yes, Young Master?"
"Retrieve the footage of everything that happened here."
"Yes!" The man immediately replied and then got to work.
"A couple of minutes later, a convey of Police and Rescue Service arrived at the scene."
His bodyguards immediately signalled to nurses, who rushed up to them to treat Mathew, and then they led him into the ambulance.
One of his men accompanied him to the hospital, whilst others stayed back to give an honest account of everything to the Police, just as he had instructed them to do.
The news that Keith Argus Demiliore had killed people in cold blood was undoubtedly going to blow a storm in the country.
And he did not have to do anything to make it happen.
Keith himself provided him with an opportunity to get back at him.
Though he could not do it openly, he could secretly put the footage on the Internet before the Demiliore Family deals with everything.
Once it starts circulating on the Internet, it would be too late to contain the damage.
He was about to smile at his thoughts when Keith's face appeared in his mind.
Even after he had killed all the goons, he still wore that indifferent smile on his face. He was sure that even the men working under his family, who had killed people before, could not smile like that in that situation.
And recalling that smile suddenly sent chills up his spine.
"Is he crazy?" He asked himself...
