It had been a few days since Aiden had started working on 'Revolution'. After finalising a good enough hook for the song, he had started adding other instruments and sound effects on top of it.
Aside from that, he had also started writing the lyrics.
Unlike his previous songs, he wanted to give a clear meaning to this one. A powerful meaning that could shake people's souls when they listen to the song.
To better understand the concept of freedom and how once people used to fight just to not be treated as slaves, he was also reading up records of freedom fighters.
Thankfully, as he was from India, he already had a good enough Idea of freedom struggle as even to this day, freedom revolutionaries are very much respected in India and history books are filled with them.
As he was busy on the song, Wade on the other hand was busy looking up the people who Aiden wanted to be in the band and trying to convince them to be a part of it.
This was tedious work and Aiden was happy that he had Wade to handle all this.
Because of him, he could just focus on the song and not worry about anything else.
"The flight landed half an hour ago. Why is he not here?"
Aiden asked, looking at Wade who was in the driver seat. They were currently outside the airport, waiting for the arrival of someone.
"I don't know. Maybe some trouble while checking out. Airport authorities could get nosy if they notice something even a bit odd."
Wade replied, glancing at the airport. A lot of cars were parked and many people were constantly coming out of the airport. As one of the most popular cities on earth, it was a place constantly bustling with people, flying in and out of it.
"Are you sure he's even coming?" A third voice asked. Aiden looked back to see a familiar face.
Aside from Cameron, they have also called other people. The first one to accept it was Jackson who was now sitting at the back of Wade's car.
He also wanted Emily as she completed the band and she had also accepted to come, but she was not in America currently and would only be able to come in the next few days.
Aiden was seeing Jackson after a long time. Though, they would sometimes text each other as their friendship remained after X-Star.
"He texted his flight information, so he's probably coming. Not like he's the type to pull off a prank."
"Yeah, that's true." Jackson asked, then staring at Aiden, he changed the topic. "You have become a huge deal in the past few months. I never thought you would become so huge in such a short time."
"Huge? I'm pretty small currently."
Aiden said and Jackson glared at him, clicking his tongue.
"You are already in a movie and then, you have a hit song with a popular singer. You even beat Rachel who won the competition. Here, I'm still training for my debut."
"You will have your debut next year anyway. Bands are doing well these days, especially the ones with major labels."
Jackson was signed with Cyco media and was preparing for his debut with a band. He was obviously going to be the drummer as that was his best skill.
"Yeah, but there's no saying. The other guys aside from me are already waiting for two years to make their debut. Anyway, only you and Rachel are somewhere in the public eye. Most of us are just obscure for now."
Jackson sighed and his words were mostly true. Cyco media was pushing for Rachel to be their next big singer and even without any backing, Aiden was slowly making his own path.
Other than these two, no one from X-Star was much in the limelight.
"What's Cameron doing these days?" Jackson asked and Aiden shrugged his shoulders. He had not heard of him a lot.
Cameron was someone who people have thought would debut at the same time as Rachel as there was a lot of attention on him, but he has suddenly disappeared.
"I don't know. He's in LA, maybe taking a break after X-Star. He even stopped posting on MeTube."
"He's like those wannabe sigmas,, trying to be the best. I doubt he will take a break—"
"Just ask him yourself."
As Jackson was speaking, Wade interrupted him and pointed at a person coming out of the airport gate.
He had blonde hair and was just wearing blue jeans with a white shirt and a jacket. He also had sunglasses on but Aiden could
clearly tell he was Cameron.
The only difference from the last time he had seen him was that now he had longer hair.
They were waiting for too long and he had finally appeared.
"Cameron!"
Aiden and Jackson came out of the car to greet him. Cameron, who noticed them, just gave a nod as he walked towards them.
"Why did you take so long?" Jackson asked as Cameron walked close to them.
"It took a bit of time as someone got caught up with some drugs. The authorities handled it and dragged the guy somewhere."
"Why will anyone do something so stupid?"
"Why would I know?"
After Cameron said that, he looked at Aiden. There was no change in the latter's looks but he felt a bit different, more confident, with charisma oozing out of him.
"It's been a long time."
Aiden said, pushing his hand towards him and Cameron shook it without a change in his expression.
"Yeah, you are doing good for yourself. Anyway, this song you are composing. Tell me more about it."
"Sit in the car, we will drive you to the hotel and we can talk about the song in the car."
Cameron nodded and they got in the car. On the way, Aiden explained about the offer from Animeroll and how he was competing against other indie musicians and bands.
Both Jackson and Cameron had never watched anime but both of them said that they would watch the series once they get to the hotel.
"So, is the song finished?"
Cameron asked. He was sitting in the backseat.
"Still working on a few things and the lyrics but it's going to be completed in two days. At that time, Emily would also come, so we could go straight to the recording."
"You have a recording studio?"
"I'm renting one. A person I know owns it and I'm getting it for cheap. We could record the song there."
"Okay."
Cameron didn't say anything after that and just looked outside the window. He hadn't been in New York for a while, but the wind seemed to give him a good feeling.
Suddenly, Jackson looked at him.
"By the way, Cameron, what are you doing these days? You didn't sign a label deal, right?"
"No, I'm just in LA. You could say I'm just enjoying life." He replied in a stoic voice.
"So, are you going to focus more on your MeTube career going forward or something else? You could even go into acting with that face of yours."
"I don't know. Currently, I don't really feel like I know what I want to do."
He replied and in the whole journey, he just focused on the view outside the window.

As Aiden was meeting up with his friends from X-Star, his fan group on Sparrow was going crazy due to a picture that someone had posted a while ago.
It was the photo of Cameron and Aiden outside an airport in New York City. If one looked closely, they could even see Jackson there.
Most of the major fans who were following Aiden since his X-Star days were very excited seeing this picture. Especially because they had never expected them to meet like this.
For them, Aiden was that cool loner who would sit back in a classroom but is super talented and focused.
It was not like they thought he didn't have friends but him meeting both Cameron and Jackson made them feel like something big was going to come soon.
[Skyneves: Someone tell me the pic ain't photoshopped! If it is, I'm going to kill the guy who did something like that.]
[Aiden's wife: Calm down, Skyneves. I don't think the pic is photoshopped. It doesn't look edited. Hey, April on Roof, you posted the photo. Explain how you got it.]
[Hollywood Insider: This time, I don't even know what's going on. #Confused.]
[April on Roof: I was coming from a trip from Brazil when I saw them standing outside the airport. I was only able to take a picture before they disappeared. I didn't even have time to get an autograph…]
At those words, the group erupted again.
[Moaning Frodo: Does that mean they are going to collaborate soon? A new song? I'm still listening to Lonely on loop.]
[Never gonna stick you up: Dude, Cameron looking like he's going to appear in Playboy magazine next with that look. I bet he would be a great model.]
[Happy Dog, Happy home: I would love it if it's another song. Been so long since the last one.]
[No wifey, happy lifey: It seems like they are going to become a band. If I remember, their band performance was the best in X-Star. Hope they get Emily and start a band called 'The Chadsons'.]
[Atheist Bale: At this point, I would be disappointed If it didn't turn out to be something big. I really hope it's something great and good.]
