Versatile Superstar: Rise In Hollywoodchapter 215: the oscars (1)

As the album was doing so well, a lot of people were talking about Aiden. He had a lot of events to promote his album, so whenever he went, he met a lot of people.

All of them had only positive things to say about him.

"I love your album. The concept, music videos and your voice. All of them sound so perfect. I'm really glad it's working so well."

"Aiden, can I get an autograph, please? My playlist is filled with your songs, and I listen to them before sleeping every day. They really give off such peaceful vibes."

"I've been following you since I saw you on X-Star. You have really come a long way since. Do you mind clicking a selfie with me? I will cherish it all my life."

These types of compliments were given to him almost every hour as he went from one show to another. At the same time, more and more event companies were trying to book him for a show.

Unfortunately, Aiden was only going to do the live shows for a month, and in between that, there were Oscars and the audition for [Sherlock of the Shadows] too.

Wade and he had decided that if they passed the audition, they were going to focus on it and hold off a singing tour that was now already pending. If they didn't pass the audition, they were going to start the tour straight.

In between this, one of the major music magazines, 'Record', posted an article on Aiden.

The article managed to get famous as a lot of people read it and agreed with it.

<Aiden Silvereye — The birth of an indie mainstream artist that vows to take the world by storm.

Singers who become stars normally have a lot of things in common. A highly documented life, a large number of fans, a few scandals, great songs and in some cases, drugs and criminal cases.

One more thing that is common is the record labels that handle them.

Even though the popularity of record labels has diminished since the 2000s, with apps like Melody coming up, it's still undeniable that they hold most of the major singers in the country and other parts of the world. Their connections and resources are still something one can't fight against.

Although indie artists get a lot of support from apps like Melody and MeTube, most of them can't break down the big wall standing between them to finally become a mainstream artist.

But in just two years, one singer managed to achieve something countless others weren't able to.

Aiden Silvereye, who came out of nowhere, managed to do things that none had been able to accomplish before. Was it luck? Or he's just a genius born once in a century? We believe that it's a mix of talent, luck and the persistence of a person who knows how to take an opportunity with both hands.

Let's look at his career after he was eliminated from X-Star.

Our reports suggest that during that time, a record label had contacted him and given him a contract, but he had rejected them, citing reasons that he wanted to focus both on his singing and acting.

His career blew up after that with viral songs and a few movie offers, but most people got to know him when he made the news for protecting one of his bandmates during an attack on stage; his persona changed in front of the public.

After that, Aiden played one right card after another by composing his own superhit movie soundtrack to making giant strides in his acting career…>

The article got very famous for writing down Aiden's career till now and providing answers to his current popularity. One of these was how Aiden was a fresh change for a celebrity.

He was someone who didn't show off the stuff he had on social media. In fact, his social media was mostly dead until one of his projects came up. This made people see him as someone mysterious. There were almost no real-life photos of him on social media as he was a very private person.

The audience had also gotten tired of seeing the same type of celebrities and hearing bad things about them, so they gave Aiden a chance, and his content spoke for itself.

His songs were great, roles were well-liked, and he got the parts that had the potential to become classics, and he thoroughly owned it.

In the end, the article ended with a question asking if Aiden was able to maintain his popularity. After all, it was way harder to maintain popularity than to get it.

Relevancy was the key to a celebrity's career.

"Aiden, that was great!"

"I love you. Please make me your girlfriend."

"You are so handsome."

Spotlights of different colours fell on Aiden as he looked at the crowd, cheering and waving their hands in front of him. It was a spectacular feeling to be standing here, performing in front of them.

Something that was hard to explain.

As he grew in stature, the stages on which he performed just became bigger and bigger every time.

"Thank you for coming here today. I'm now going to perform 'Firefly'. Hope you all would like it."

Another cheer went up hearing that.

He took a deep breath and started singing again with the music accompanying his vocals. This was his 4th show of the day, but he was feeling energised like it was still his first.

"With that, it's over. I will go to sleep right away. No, I feel like I might just sleep in the car."

Aiden said, leaning against his seat and glancing at Wade, who was driving the car.

They were just returning from another show, and it had been another exhausting day. Shaking his head, Wade muttered.

"I would drop you at your home fast. I want to rest too. Tomorrow is a big day, after all."

"Yeah, the Oscars are tomorrow."

Aiden said, looking outside. The sky was pitch black and was covered with clouds.

The Oscar ceremony was going to be held tomorrow, and Aiden was very excited about it, so much so that he was dreaming about winning an Oscar even in his dreams. Though, for some reason, every time, the award was given by a black, eyepatch-wearing guy.

"You booked Miranda for tomorrow, right?" Aiden asked, looking up at Wade, who nodded his head.

"Obviously, I'm not going to make any mistakes. It's your first Oscar appearance and nomination. You need to look the best out of everyone. A good impression is a great way to start, and you will probably meet most of the big wigs tomorrow. A lot of them would want to talk to you at the after-party, and I won't be there with you. You need to handle everything yourself."

"Leo and Omar are going to be there too. Katie had gotten an invite too."

Aiden replied, but Wade shook his head.

"They would be there in the ceremony, but after that, there's a lot of chance that you are going to go to separate after parties. From what I know, Leo has a project with Interactive Movies next, so he's probably going to go to the party hosted by them."

Interactive Movies was one of the Big 6 studios in the current Hollywood landscape. Zero International and Titan studios were the two others that Aiden had previously worked with.

After [30 days of Happiness], Leo had hit it big and was now directly working with a giant.

Oscar after parties were very diverse, with different studios and some big magazines. In this, the Vanity Magazine party was the big one, but there were other parties too.

"I don't even know if anyone is going to invite me to an exclusive after-party. I would just take a look around the Vanity Magazine one."

"Someone would surely invite you. You are shining brightly currently, so people want to shine with you."

Wade said, but Aiden just gave him an odd look.

"That's a weird analogy."

"It is what it is. Anyway, if you win, you will get invites to most parties. Even if you don't, some would surely invite you and try to just be careful of people and not give any promises."

"Promises?" Aiden raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, there's a story about an actor who was too drunk at an after-party and just promised to do a movie with a producer. The producer actually got his signature at that party, and even if the actor didn't like it, he needed to do the product. There was even a court case about it."

"That's kind of messed up."

Wade just shrugged, saying that it's Hollywood, and those things happen a lot here. Just the industry was like that.

Aiden didn't think a lot about it.

In the first place, the after-party was not in his mind. He just wanted to focus on the Oscar ceremony first.

The big question was whether he was going to win the award or not. If he was being honest, the award wasn't in a category he wanted to win an award in. His goal was to win in the Best Actor category, but he knew that it would take a long while to achieve that.

The only reason he was even able to get a nomination in 'Best Original song' was that his composing skill was pretty high.

Actually, it had increased in levels after his album had been released.

[Your composing skill has advanced to Level 8 from Level 7.]

[Congratulations on achieving a huge feat.]

[Your skill 'Lyric writing' has advanced to Level 7.]
