This is Preparing for a Child? (2)
Su Yi Jia nodded, “Since little sister Wan doesn’t go out, what are you doing all day?”
“Cultivating the body and mind.” Jing Wan took a sip of the specially made flower tea.
Sun Yi Jia slightly revealed an astonished look. For a moment, she even suspected that Jing Wan didn’t understand her meaning, “Little sister Wan, are you sure?”
“Certain.” Jing Wan smiled at her, “Looking after plants and flowers together with wangye, then paint a bit, drink some tea, look, even occasionally playing a match of chess, not touching wine, getting up early and sleeping early, the morning exercises not ceasing every day, how are these not considered cultivating the body and mind?”
“Then that really is rare.” The living Enma was actually obedient to this degree, how was that not rare?
A certain someone lately really was shockingly obedient.
The sixth of the sixth month was the Gugu Festival[1], receiving back the married daughters to pray for good fortune, so as to avoid calamity and dispel bad luck.
The last time going out was the fifth of the fifth month, so they’ve been cooped up in the manor for an entire month.
Although on the sixth of the sixth month, there was the tradition of married daughters returning to the maiden home, not all will follow the tradition. Just like for example, with Jin Wangfei returning to the maiden home, the daughter-in-laws of the Luo family all won’t go back, and the other married daughters of the Luo family will certainly all return.
The frequency in which Jing Wan returned to the maiden home wasn’t high, but among the numerous wangfei, it was certainly the highest. And every time, Jin Qinwang will always be present. That’s why, when it comes to receiving Jin Qinwang, the Luo family can also be considered skilled in all kinds of ways. How it was usually was how it was handled. Receiving Jin Qinwang really wasn’t a difficult matter, not too different from receiving the other son-in-laws. Just speaking from this bit, the living Enma wasn’t the least bit like a demon king, but rather too in touch with the people.
The Head Minister of Appointments specially stayed at home, needing to properly ‘catch up’ with Jin Qinwang. At such an age, to continuously be this irritable, it wasn’t a good thing either.
Fortunately, this ‘muddled ruler’ also had times when he wasn’t muddled, pacifying the Head Minister of Appointments with just a few words.
It was obvious, because Su Yi Jia brought back word of Jing Wan’s daily life, Luo Old Madam also couldn’t help but say a few words out of concern.
Jing Wan explained a bit more specifically. Luo Old Madam was an elder after all, so when inquiring about the grandson-in-law, she completely didn’t need to be vague like Sun Yi Jia. After Luo Old Madam finished listening, she seemingly didn’t feel there was anything wrong either, so also just had the matter placed aside.
It was obvious, the actual most crucial point, Jing Wan didn’t say. Counting the time, it was already more than twenty days. However, Jing Wan felt it should more or less be time. Exactly what a certain someone wanted to do, the answer will very quickly be known.
In reality, it was indeed as Jing Wan had thought. On the eleventh of the sixth month, when Jing Wan was preparing to go to bed, she got gnawed by her husband, from head to toe, inside and out.
Having endured an entire month, Jing Wan was already prepared to be paralyzed on the bed for an entire day the next day.
TN: All
However, the reality once again exceeded her expectations. A certain someone actually just finished after once, although the time this time was also bit longer.
Jing Wan turned around. Because of the intense exercise, her body was covered in sweat. Seeing a certain someone with his eyes closed, and moreover, from the place where their bodies touched, able to tell that he right now was very ‘vigorous’, Jing Wan pressed closer, reaching out and propping her hand on his shoulder, using the tip of her nose to rub against the tip of his nose, “Ah Yuan.”
After heated passion, her voice was still a bit hoarse.
Li Hong Yuan opened his eyes. In the depths of his eyes, there was seemingly a ball of flame burning, “Wan Wan don’t tempt me.”
How could Jing Wan not sense his silent endurance, her slender jade hand lightly caressing his body, “Why endure?”
Li Hong Yuan nearly turned into a wolf, but in the last moment, still endured. Grabbing Jing Wan’s hand, he shifted his body, preventing the most sensitive place from touching Jing Wan’s body. In this way, after waiting for about an hour, Li Hong Yuan directly order someone to prepare the water, carrying Jing Wan to the cleaning room to bathe.
Even now, Jing Wan was still a bit confused as to exactly what this man wanted to do. That’s why, even if a bit sleepy, she still didn’t fall asleep. Tonight, she must know the reason why a certain someone was abnormal.
Before Jing Wan even opened her mouth to interrogate, she noticed something, her heart suddenly jumping, suddenly thinking of a possibility, “Ah Yuan, you didn’t dissolve medicine into the water?” Looking to Li Hong Yuan, her eyes were slightly flickering.
Li Hong Yuan lowered his head, momentarily meeting her gaze, and afterwards, nonchalantly averted his eyes, “In the past, didn’t you say that we at least need to raise one child? So just tonight, leave it up to luck.”
Jing Wan was very astonished inside. This matter truly was too sudden. She originally thought that on the matter of having a child, it really can only wait until after everything has settled. Perhaps, even then, there would still be things that need to be smoothed out, yet now, he suddenly……..
“Then the previous whole month was because………..”
“We have been continuously using the anti-pregnancy medicine after all. Although this medicine won’t harm the body, Gong Jiu isn’t certain whether or not it will affect the child, that’s why stopped using for a month.” Li Hong Yuan casually stroked Jing Wan’s back.
So it was like this. However, for him to be able to endure for a whole month, did this mean that towards children, he actually didn’t reject as much as they’d thought? “How come suddenly wanted to have a child? Previously, you didn’t mention a word at all.” Jing Wan used her finger to draw circles on his body.
“I told you before, in the past life, we were husband and wife for a night, that night, we had a child.”
Jing Wan blanked, sitting a little straighter, fixedly staring at Li Hong Yuan, “Tonight?”
Li Hong Yuan slightly nodded, not speaking.
She was actually always quite curious about that child. However, because she sensed that a certain someone didn’t like, she thus endured and never mentioned, yet now, he wanted to pinch this exact time, to give birth to that child? But he clearly didn’t like, and moreover, “Even if at the same time, it may not necessarily be the same one. There’s just too many factors in this matter. The most simple point is that the me from your past life and the current me, our body’s condition certainly won’t be the same, you should know this.”
“I know, Wan Wan doesn’t need to explain too much. The same person, when placed in a completely different environment and raised, will all become two completely different people. I never thought of wanting a completely identical son.”
Jing Wan saw that bit of complication in his eyes. Since it’s like this, why choose tonight? Actually, from his words previously, one can tell, he had ‘her’ death partly blamed on that child. Because of this bit, he really didn’t like that child, yet at the same time, he was given birth to by ‘her’. Moreover, he had personally raised him for quite a long period of time. That’s why, towards that child, it wasn’t hatred, but probably a kind of complex feeling that even he was unable to control.
Her husband has never believed in fate. However, her ‘death flag’ has yet to pass, so he’s just unable to relax. Speaking from this bit, he clearly also very much cared about fate, such contradictions, just because of her Luo Jing Wan?
“Ah Yuan, if able to become pregnant, just like in your past life, then…..” are you not worried that she will also become the same in the future?
“Wan Wan.” Li Hong Yuan looked to her, his eyes deep like any abyss that was able to swallow everything, seemingly instantly understanding her unspoken words, interrupting her with a rather heavy tone, “The same point in time, the things I allow, it can once again happen, but the things I won’t allow, it absolutely will not happen.”
See, this man, truly was aggressive to no end, but Jing Wan nevertheless smiled, leaning against Li Hong Yuan’s chest, “En, you won’t let it happen, so it won’t happen.”
[1] 姑姑节 – Also known as the Double Sixth Festival, although it has many other names as well, the most well known being Tiankuang Festival, meaning gift from the heavens. It’s also called Gugu festival due to the fact that on the day of the festival, parents will invite their married daughter and son-in-law back home, gugu meaning paternal aunt, but it also is an address for the daughters of the family, for instance the son-in-law is referred to by the family as 姑爷(guye).
