The Port of Simmons [Part 2]
“Extracurricular lesson? Is that… so?”
Imperial Prince Tasuku stared intensely at the empty space behind Joshua. Joshua answered so quickly that they couldn’t meet her. No, if Joshua could, he actually even wanted to say he wouldn’t let them meet.
As Imperial Prince Tasuku continued staring, Momochi, the ninja stationed in the Kingdom, appeared with a *shoom* sound together with Hue. They didn’t reveal their presence but had been accompanying Joshua as his guards.
“Emma-sama is staying in Skyte territory for an overnight study trip. Of course Big Bro Joshua wouldn’t lie, I’m tellin’ you.”
“Ah, hey! Little Hue, you’re being disrespectful to Imperial Prince Tasuku!”
Seeing everyone checking on Emma, Hue shrugged his shoulders while saying, “Are you all stupid?” and immediately got rebuked by Momochi.
The ninjas were still stationed in House Stuart now and were working hard to learn the Kingdom language so they could take turns carrying out their original job of intelligence gathering. And on the side (in actuality, the main job), the ninjas made miso, soy sauce, etc., and while they were at it, spent their time coaching Hue on the art of ninjutsu.
After Imperial Tasuku and Miguel heard they couldn’t meet Emma, they became depressed in a very easy-to-read manner.
Imperial Prince Tasuku fell into thought, ‘What the Stuart family left behind in the land devastated by Over, even causing a delay in their return, made us admire them every time we continued striving to rebuild the country after the Stuarts returned.
The cats plowed and flattened the ground that had turned bumpy because of the falling seeds.
They built new houses with Over fragments for the people who had lost their homes.
Food aid, utilization of canned food, and introduction to monster meat.
Imperial Japan, which had been on the brink of destruction, recovered like a miracle.
And everything came from the ideas of one girl.
Thirteen years old.
A small thirteen-year-old girl saved the country.
I don’t think there is anyone more suitable to be the next empress of Imperial Japan.’
“…Imperial Prince Tasuku? Are you perhaps thinking about something ominous?”
Joshua couldn’t hide his agitation after getting a bad premonition from the chills up his spine. Many thoughts crossed his mind all at once. ‘If things continued like this, confining Emma-sama to Palace to hide her charms forever would be my true wish. However, such a wish will end up separating Emma-sama from her family. There is no way I can bear to do that. Because the most foolish thing to do in this world is to rob Emma-sama of her smile.
Get yourself together, Joshua.
Wasn’t it within my expectations that Emma-sama‘s charms would be exposed if we went to the Royal Capital?
Even if I were to understate it, no man wouldn’t be attracted to the angelic her.
If so, I just need to be the best out of all those men.
Whether it is the prince, imperial prince, or an insect buddy, aren’t I a worthy rival for them all?’ thought Joshua passionately.
“Heh”
Joshua encouraged himself and smirked boldly.
“Heh”
Imperial Prince Tasuku also raised the corners of his mouth aggressively.
“Heh”
Miguel didn’t lose out and let out a short laugh. He had the most disadvantageous position, but it wasn’t without effort to establish his current unshakeable status of an insect buddy.
“ “ “Heh, heheheheh” ” ”
The three continued laughing in unison.
“No, hey, that’s scary.”
Hue muttered, “Good grief,” at this bizarre scene.
“Imperial Prince Tasuku!“
[T/N: “text like this” is in Imperial Japanese language]
Another ninja appeared unexpectedly with a *whoosh*.
“How was it?“
Imperial Prince Tasuku flattened his mouth and asked the ninja.
“Those ships are loaded with pretty dangerous things, you see?”
The ninja that newly appeared, Hattori Hanzou, pointed his chin at the ships docked beside Imperial Japan’s trading ship.
Those were the ships from the Empire whose passengers were said to be the friends of First Prince Maximilian.
Despite already arriving at the port for quite some time, no one seemed to disembark.
“Dangerous things?”
When Imperial Japan’s trading ship arrived at the port, the magic sensor Imperial Prince Tasuku wore reacted. After searching around, they found that the origin of that magic power was the ships beside them.
