Restlessness at the Academy and Homecoming [Part 3]
“Cargo?”
Hmm. Arthur stroked his chin and fell into deep thought.
‘Imperial Japan is the country the Kingdom predicted to still quarry a lot of magic stones.
Normally speaking, the Kingdom does not have enough hunters to be able to readily interfere with other countries’ monster disasters. If the Stuart family had not strongly requested to go to Imperial Japan, the Kingdom would not have sent anyone as an aid for sure.
If the family caused a miracle and resolved the disaster, the train of thought would be that Imperial Japan had let them bring back magic stones in large amounts.
On the other hand, if they couldn’t do anything about the disaster and Imperial Japan was destined to perish in the end… Considering the family’s soft-hearted nature, they might take as many Imperial Japanese as they could on their ship and evacuate them to the Kingdom…
‘Though the latter seems much more likely to happen.’
“It seems like the contents of their cargo are a secret, right, Caitlyn?”
“The contents of their cargos are a secret, Catherine.”
The twins were also left wondering as they weren’t privy to the details.
Whether the secret cargo is valuable magic stones or masses of refugees, both are a big problem. Arthur was torn between reporting this to the royal castle and keeping this speculation to himself.

“Ah! We can finally see it! There it is! Marquisate of Simmons’ port!” William shouted in high spirits.
“Thank god… our ship… didn’t sink…”
Good grief. Looking both tired and relieved, George gazed at the Port of Simmons William pointed at.
“Over’s seeds and rubble… were of greater quantity than we expected. Though we were the ones who just gladly accepted when the Imperial Japanese people told us to take everything…”
Over’s seeds and rubble that had piled up into a small mountain over a large area turned out to be of tremendous amount when being loaded into the ship.
They returned with a clearly heavier load than the food and relief supplies they had brought when they first set out.
“Since it’s a little much, can we leave some seeds here and go home?” The family tried asking once, but received a negative answer from the Imperial Japanese side.
Over’s rubble could be used as building materials. However, the Imperial Japanese people still vividly remembered how they had once been ready to perish along with their motherland. As such, many were reluctant to build their houses using the original cause of their country’s destruction crisis.
Not to mention Over’s seeds. They didn’t even want to catch a glimpse of them.
“We don’t want to stand out, so let’s move Over’s rubble and seeds at night secretly… No matter how fast we sail the ship, we won’t arrive until the sun sets anyway, so it’s just right.”
Melsa instructed with a resigned look.
It would be a disaster if the Kingdom’s people knew they intentionally returned with the seeds of a plant monster from Imperial Japan. If they were extremely unlucky, they might get caught by the Knight Order. After all, it was hundreds of times more dangerous than bringing in an introduced species.
The preconception Melsa had was that a country with a strict quarantine system and other regulations… was a dangerous place in the world. …That being said, she still thought it was better to have a strictly regulated quarantine, though.
“The cats and tailless whip scorpions too, you guys should help with the unloading when we arrive at the Kingdom, okay?”
The ship was fully loaded with Over’s seeds and rubble, so during the voyage, the cats and tailless whip scorpions slept and ate in the same room as the family.
“ “ “ “Meowww!!!” ” ” ”
*rustle rustle rustle rustle rustle rustle*
The cats and the tailless whip scorpions happily replied to Melsa when they heard they could finally get off of the narrow ship.

Author’s note:
Joshua: During the sail… it was common to have a tailless whip scorpion… right in front of me when I turned over in my sleep…
Also Joshua: When moving around on the ship… stubbing my pinky toe on a tailless whip scorpion… happened pretty often, huh…
Oliver : WHAT’S THAT?! WHAT IS THAT?! WHAT IS THAT THINGGGG?!!! ←He shut himself in the toilet (the only place with no tailless whip scorpions) day and night and was scolded by Melsa.
