The Extra's Survivalchapter 27: partner's

In the training Hall.

Harris with his hand on my back examined my internals.

He dropped his jaw in shock when I told him that the resistance I had in my mana flow was resolved.

I gave all kinds of excuses and lie I could to cover up.

I explained about my fight with the dungeon and every day how I exhausted my entire mana and some nice people offered me mana recovery potions.

"Hmm. It seems logical that in your hunt you have used mana too much to overcome the resistance. Still it is hard to believe".

It may be hard to believe but what else can I say. The potion I brought from the system was very much effective and there is no residue left in the system.

Even the low stamina and strength potions were much better than their counterparts that sold in the market.

If I sell them I could surely earn a few million

"Now that you have sorted out the problem in your body. Let's start the sword practice".

"I would love to".Griping my sword we started my sword training but it looked like some children's play in Harris's eyes.

Clang... Tang...

My sword training went on as usual till the beginning of class.

This week I found that I was getting some unusual stared from the classmates around me.

This must be due to my change in heights and my face becoming more refined.

Harris surely must have noticed it but he didn't ask me. He was the type of person who doesn't like to pry into others' privacy.

It was quite bothersome but after some days I have melded with class and the stares I was getting vanished as if no one was interested.

If I was the son of some noble they would have surely looked for me for currying favour but after all, I am typical nobody.

The week passed quickly and it was time for another dungeon round.

But this time I decided to meet Scotch before going to hunt.

After all who knows what kind of adversary I may face this time and returning it was quite hard to do a meeting with someone.

I asked for a personal meeting so Aaron decided to give us some privacy in the meeting room.

We both sat in front of each other. Scotch took a sip of his coffee curiously looking at me.

He must be quite amused when I asked him to meet. He must think what does this greenhorn want from me, something along those lines.

I tried to put on a serious face.

"Mister Scotch, I have some information which may be highly valuable for you".

Scotch didn't say anything and only stared at me.

After all, Scotch was a master of hacking and can get most of the information he want.

" I have the information of the person who has caused the death of your teammates."

Crack.

The words rang like thunder in Scotch's ears he was so shocked he broke the cul with his grip.

Staring at me like a hawk he said: "Lucas, I don't know where you get to know this but if it is a joke. I swear you're gonna pay for it with your life. Also if you know this much you should know I can't let you go".

Gulp.

I knew something like this was happening but a person threatening you sitting before you makes it quite hard for you to continue.

"Listen I know it may sound like a joke. But trust me I have no bad intention. You can use a lie detector to check me".

I knew Scotch was monitoring my heartbeat with his advanced equipment.

Nodding his head he took the bracelet and signalled me to wear it.

This bracelet monitors your body and sends reading in case of lie just like lie detector in my previous life.

"Now I want a deal with you. I want your unconditional support and to use your skills when I asked".

" What if you are just lying. I will think about it after listening to your words".

"You can know if I am lying or not isn't it".

"You knew I don't have a strong background so I want your help to have an information network".

"You know the value of information in this era and I also know many things about you so why don't you first listen to what I say today and decide".

"I know some of the past and future events. Think of this as I can see a random vision of futures".

" The one who stabbed back at your team was Count Holes. You have somehow destroyed his business. So he decided to wipe your team out using his connection before you reach him out".

"He also has some relations with the villain society".

Scotch's face started to change from anger to shock and then admiration. I don't why he looking at me with admiration.

I gave him details, I could remember and removed the bracelet. Till now I have spoken the truth but I don't know if I had to resort to lying after this so I took it out before speaking more.

Even if he is unconvinced I would just not answer more and feign ignorance.

Rubbing his forehead Scotch thought for all possible things.

"I think I get a gist of it".

" The things you know and can see the future. I guess you have the power of seer".

"Seer... what?"

" Seer are the people who can see random pictures of future. But they can't see everything they want. They can just piece of it".

I don't know in which direction was this conversation heading on. It was entirely different from what I have expected. He believed me quite easily and the part of being seer I don't know anything about that. I don't even remember if that was mentioned in the novel or I just skipped that part finding it boring.

"Are there seer in this world or are you joking".

His face was too serious for a joke.

" I am not in the mood to joke after all it is a matter of my dead friends and my vow to get revenge for them so that they can rest in peace in eternal life"

" Since you have said this let me tell this top secret and classified. Not many people know but seers were certainly present in the past. I have read some records as you know of my work. After all, there is no need to hide as you already know so much".

"I have also heard seer that doesn't live so long".

" Why".

"I don't know it may be due to the price they have to pay to see the future or something else. Also I have just read I don't know for sure if it's truth or lie".

"After all if someone with this ability is still alive we would have known it or there may be the chance only King of the nation to know something".

" So I advise you not to use this ability unless required".

" So now that I have said everything you need to know. How about my deal".

"I believe you but not wholeheartedly cause who know there may be something different after you all you may just know pieces".

" But still you have given me lead which is more than enough for me to get to the end. About your deal, I don't think I have anything to lose after all I will just give you all the information you want".

"You may have to hack some system if I require in future".

Scotch frowned"I warn you before I don't want to help you in build illegal society like a villain".

My lips twitched hearing his reply. In which angle do I look like a villain or criminal.

" Do I look like a criminal to you"?

"No that's not what I meant".

" Let's get to the point. We have a deal or not".saying I moved my hand forward.

Scotch still has some slight hesitations. He stared at me for a moment.

"Please don't have any second thought".I prayed in my heart. I need his help. His help can save me a lot of money. After all, nobles spend millions to hire people to get the background information and not all people hired are successful as the person in front of me, as he has a vast information network.

Sigh.

" Ok" letting go of his fears we shake hands.

"From today we are somewhat partner".

Scotch was amused thinking the words childish but didn't think much after all Lucas was still 16 years old at the end.

" Partners ".

Before leaving I met with Reynolds giving him some of the potions I have brought from the system in the dungeon.

I asked him to sell. The stingy man didn't leave me until I gave him a commission.

After raising my blood pressure with his argument we finally settled at 80 to 20.20 per cent was his commotion for helping me sell.

He even forced me to sign a contract to avoid any future trouble.

He may be stingy but he is quite nice.. He didn't say but he wanted to teach me to be prudent while doing any business and not to trust anybody's words in business.
