Count Welton had several thoughts run through his mind when Siegfried’s arrival was announced.

Most of them were negative.

First, he was here for a purpose.

That was obvious. Because of his son, Jamie Welton.

The kid had to be 8 years old to enter that Magic world. And they wouldn’t take a kid younger than that.

When Jamie was 7, his talents were known to the world.

Some magicians wanted to take him but couldn’t since he wasn’t 8 years old yet. If the family was of lower rank they would have snatched Jamie away, but since he belonged to Count Welton they couldn’t act recklessly.

Unless one was crazy, they couldn’t make an enemy out of Count Welton. So they waited until he turned 8.

‘But I didn’t think he would come.’

Count Welton smiled while looking at Siegfried.

Even when he didn’t want to know about it, he knew him.

‘The greatest genius before Jamie.’

Jamie entered the 6th class at age of 7.

It was truly a talent which transcends wonder.

Siegfried was known to have hit 6th class when he was 15. He was late compared to Jamie.

About one in a thousand people are known to be born with the qualities of a magician. And even then, not half of them could reach the 5th class.

And reaching past 6th class was very rare.

However, at 15 where people struggled with reaching 3rd and 4th classes, this man entered 6th class.

At that time, the Kingdom paid attention to him.

What was even more shocking was the talented boy was a…

‘Slave’.

A slave in a miserable condition.

Count Welton didn’t know the full past of the man, but he heard that they were slaves for generations. And then, by chance, he came across a magician, and was recognized by his talents and then the man adopted Siegfried as his disciple.

And Siegfried showed his immense talent by absorbing the knowledge like a dry sponge.

That was a 15 years back story.

And 7 years after that, the man reached the 7th class and was known to be a great magician.

Siegfried, who turned 30 this year, was approaching 8th class.

‘A monster like himself…’

This meant that the Magic world was serious about Jamie.

So the Count asked.

“Please speak. What is the purpose of this visit?”

“Haha. I think you know the reason.”

Siegfried scratched his head.

Of course Count Welton would know the reason for the visit without being told. His words were similar to ‘say it with your own mouth’.

From Siegfried’s point of view, he didn’t want to feel cornered so he went straight to the point.

“I wanted to welcome the best talent.”

“Was that sarcasm?”

“No!”

Seigfried shook his head.

Would anyone ridicule Jamie in front of Count Welton who is known to be a sucker for his kids?

Siegfried was someone who valued his life.

He didn’t mean to look hateful in front of the Sword Master.

‘Even though it seems like he already hates me.’

Being a member of the Magic world had a negative impact on him.

“As the Count knows, young master Jamie is 8 right?”

“And so?”

“I came here because I thought he would be essential to the magic world… so?”

“Without a prior message?”

Count Welton thought that they would send a letter.

‘What? If we did send it, I am sure that he would have torn it without reading it.’

Looking at the Count’s attitude it was certain.

“I apologize for that. Otherwise, I knew you wouldn’t allow this.”

“You knew well.”

“…”

He was openly showing his dissatisfaction.

“Ah, by the way, can I see young master Jamie?”

“What do you think my response would be?”

“It could be presumptuous, but isn’t young master Jamie the one who should decide?”

“If you think it is presumptuous you shouldn’t say such things.”

Count Welton responded coldly.

Seigfried didn’t smile, but he didn’t avoid the gaze either.

The two men stared at each other without a word. And Count Welton spoke first.

“But what you said is true.”

The choice was up to Jamie.

Aside from the fact that he hated these magicians, Jamie should be given the chance to decide.

But.

“It is also true that the situation is messy.”

The Magic world is currently divided into three factions.

A royal faction led by Offen Ginger, the 1st elder and the king’s mentor.

A noble faction led by Marquis Linmel, the 2nd Elder.

An Equality faction led by Luke Pretzel, the 5th Elder who was a commoner.

The three were currently in a tight battle.

The problem was that they would do all sorts of dirty things to increase their power. And the Count didn’t like it. Sending his son to such a place?

It was true that Jamie was mature for his age, but would he be able to survive the brutal scene of politics?

Jamie could be taken advantage of because of his talent and background.

‘And my influence won’t work in the Magic world.’

Numerous royal families, nobles and large and small people were supporting it.

It wasn’t for nothing that the magic world of the Seldam Kingdom was known to be on par with the Magic Kingdom, Klone.

Fortunately, Count Simon was on Count Welton’s side, so there could be some influence.

“I know.”

Siegfried scratched his shin and nodded.

Thinking about it, the Magic world was really full of assholes.

“But I survived there. And it is a free place.”

Siegfried is the only elder with no great affiliations. And it wasn’t because he was special.

“Do you know when I realized that I had talent?”

“Tell me.”

“The time I got the title elder.”

22. The age at which he was appointed as the youngest elder.

There was so much backlash on the decision, but in the end everyone had to acknowledge him.

Ordinary people would want to have a genius on their side. Especially a place where the forces meant a lot.

However, if the talented person was difficult to handle, then it will be a different story.

“They would always look at me like I was some monster.”

Siegfried remembered those times.

When he established a name for himself at the age of 22 and opened the door to becoming a great magician.

The first obstacle was his mentor.

His mentor was a 5th class magician and taught a lot, but at some point he didn’t teach anything to Siegfried.

Rather, he began to suppress him.

And when he crossed the level of his mentor, there were enemies forming around him. Despite not doing anything wrong, everyone hated him.

And when he reached 7th class, no one hated him. They just looked at him.

“Elders looked at me the same way. Treated me like an irregular.”

Neither faction reached out to him.

There was a reason for it.

Because of Siegfried’s origin, the royals and nobles didn’t take him.

It was funny. When it came to being a great magician, the origin was meaningless.

Although the Equality faction insisted on Equality, it treated some favorably, and they didn’t want to make Siegfried a risk factor.

The faction which recruited Siegfried would be under the offense of the other two.

What they seek is to gain the upper hand.

Siegfried was of low origin. And had great power but still the other two factions couldn’t be handled.

So abandon him. That was the conclusion the three forces came to.

“So you say you have been ignored?”

“That is a negative way of thinking.”

Siegfried shook his head.

“They were afraid of my talent.”

“Well, fine. But after hearing the story, it makes me not want to send him even more.”

The magic world was corrupt.

Those who are obliged to develop magic for the future of the kingdom are struggling to take over the Magic world.

“Tell me why my son should go to such a place.”

“I will be frank. To be honest, I don’t even want my kids to go to that place. But that is all.”

Siegfried, who had a smiling face, spoke sternly.

“There is an immeasurable level of knowledge in the magic world. In particular, something like… ‘Omniscience Library’…”

That was the title that the first king of the Seldam Kingdom had.

In the early days, it was a property which symbolized the king, and once the Magic world came into existence, the shift in power happened.

In fact, it was even the reason that the three factions wanted to rule.

“Once you become a great magician, you have one chance to touch the Omniscience Library.”

People regret that it was shown only once.

But once it was tried, one wouldn’t need it twice.

“Opportunity to try out the Omniscience Library. I think that alone is enough reason to enter the Magic world. Especially for an undisputed genius like young master Jamie.”

“…”

Even Count Welton couldn’t dispute it.

“I will ask Jamie.”

“Sure, since his decision is the most important.”

“Master. Is there a strong human here?”

Venna asked Jamie, who was swinging his sword.

“A visitor has come for the Magic world.”

“Magic world?”

“I heard from the servant that he is Siegfried, the 7th elder.”

“Ah, I know of him. Siegfried of Space right?”

“That is him.”

All those who learned magic in the Seldam Kingdom would know of him.

And since Venna was a dark magician, she too would have known.

A magician is an enemy of a dark magician. And Siegfried was known to be a very aggressive magician.

“A genius magician who turned into a great magician at a young age!”

“I am more of a genius than him.”

“Do you have to say it with your own mouth?”

“I normally do such things.”

Jamie lowered the sword.

“Phew.”

“Looks a lot cleaner than before.”

“Do you even know anything about swords?”

“Not me, he said it.”

Venna pouted as she pointed to the scarf, Philion.

[Certainly that body makes it look unbelievable.]

“Your body is tasty it seems.”

“Don’t use your own words as his.”

“Hehe.”

Jamie shook his head and wiped the sweat with a towel.

“But why are you here? Are you done with today’s training?”

“… the weather is so nice.”

[You brat!]

The towel flapped and covered Venna.

“Kuak!”

The pink squirrel fell on the floor and struggled below the towel.

“Go up and do it. Why are you wasting time Here?”

“Ugh-”

Venna walked out of the towel and pouted.

Either way, Philion took Jamie’s words and urged her.

[Hahaha! Nothing Jamie Welton said is wrong! Hurry up and let’s go and work!]

“Shut up!”

Venna screamed and disappeared somewhere.

How did the conversation with the Count and Siegfried go?

‘It has been quite some time.’

He knew the talks would be long, but as it got longer the urge to eavesdrop began to creep in.

It was then.

“Young master.”

It was the servant who said Siegfried had come.

“What is it?”

“The count is calling for you.”

“Father is?”

Amazing timing.

Jamie smiled and followed the man.

Jamie arrived at the room and asked with a bewildered face.

“Omniscience Library?”

“Yes.”

Siegfried nodded and explained.

“A treasure trove of wisdom that contains all the knowledge of the world.”

All the knowledge of the world.

The moment Jamie heard that he said,

“I will go,”

He didn’t know what kind of knowledge it held,

‘Maybe it has the information of that day.’

The information on the lost history that is strictly controlled by the 12 Gods.

Maybe he could come to know a little bit about it.
