"What is your name? You still haven't introduced yourself," Damien said as he dusted off the dirt on his clothes.
The woman's gaze shifted towards him, and she said with crossed arms, "You can call me Mira, and you are…"
Damien was surprised that her hostility toned down a lot after seeing his amulet. He had yet to find out what this amulet truly meant other than simply being a token of his family name. But he could still sense some friction.
"I am Damien, and in case you are wondering how I am related to my aunt despite being a human, it's because I am half-ghoul," Damien said with a shrug, making Mira look at him as if he was spouting nonsense.
"Yeah, I had that look as well when I learned about this today only. But you must have noticed how my aura is unlike any human, right?" Damien said as he activated his Undying Wrath, making Mira's expression puzzled.
She couldn't clearly sense his cultivation, but she could feel a hint of familiarity of his aura with that of nethereal energy. But how was this possible? The blood of a ghoul and a human can never mix. Death would be the only outcome, just like whenever a ghoul and a human come upon each other.
Their races were mortal enemies of each other. So how could this have happened? Did this have something to do with her Master keeping quiet about certain things related to her brother?
Even to this day, nobody really knew how her brother died, and her Master wasn't saying anything as well.
Damien didn't mind telling her the truth since he had already learned from Akira that her disciple was the only one she trusted the most. If Akira had that much confidence, Damien didn't hesitate.

Mira narrowed her gaze as she said in a sharp tone, "The Daemons around here kidnapped me? There is no way those filthy beasts could do that…on their own. It was all just a set-up by the cunning humans where they somehow manipulated the Daemons. You just saw for yourself."
Damien was surprised, not expecting humans to be capable of all that, considering their situation in this world.
"But why did they kidnap you? Was it because they had some personal vendetta towards you?" Damien asked as he guessed. In fact, he wouldn't find it surprising if it was true.
"Those despicable humans would do anything to try and bring us down. But this time…it was for something else which I cannot tell you. This is only for my Master's ears, and even if you are really her nephew, it doesn't mean I can trust you with everything. You are still…a half-human who conveniently reunited with your aunt out of nowhere," Mira said with a suspicious look, making Damien roll his eyes.
But it was not like her suspicions were uncalled for. Even he would have the same questions in her shoes.
"Fine. Let us get back to my aunt then," Damien said, seeing how there was no point in talking to her anymore.
He was still concerned about why his aunt didn't come to him after breaking that black stone she gave him. Could something be wrong?
As they walked through the cave, Damien looked at her back and said, "You could at least say a "thank you", or is there some custom where ghouls don't thank their saviors?"

Mira didn't even turn her head as she answered in a stone-cold voice, "I never needed or asked for your help. Those idiots would have died without your meddling."
"Really? If you had a way to unseal your cultivation, why did you look a bit helpless when facing that metal guy?" Damien asked with a soft chuckle, making Mira's eyes twitch as she curtly said, "It's just your human half putting stupid ideas in your head."
Damien smiled, feeling amused by her words, and could see that she still didn't like him due to his human half.
"This woman is acting quite high and mighty. Damien, you got to show her place. I do not like her attitude, especially since she is breathing because of your help," Luna said with a cold look.
"I thought as a goddess, you would understand how hatred between two races that have been continuing for thousands of years is not something that can be overcome easily. I am actually surprised Master's aunt doesn't mind your human half. Even this girl would have killed you if not for the fact that you were related to her Master," Kalypso stated.
"Even without that, my ethereal creations would never go about devouring others, especially in a place they do not belong to. Look at how rotten this world has become, which was once a beautiful place," Luna said with a creased forehead.
"Hey! I have been noticing the sudden increase in your hostility after coming here. It's not like my people had a choice. We don't even know how exactly the first nethereal beings came to this world," Kalypso said with an aggrieved look.
"Really? Then you dare to say your Anti-God didn't make the choice of barging into my universe? I thought I could forget it as some bad dream, but no…seeing how his corrupted power had corrupted my creations in my absence, I can't stand it," Luna said as sparks fired between the two.

He could understand her anger considering this world was something she had created in the past, and seeing it in such a poor state due to beings related to the primordial existence that forced her to be in her current state must have pricked her nerves.
