"What the hell is that…" Damien mumbled with a baffled look when he saw a ten-meter tall black eldritch figure far on the horizon, dozens of miles away.
Ordinary people wouldn't be able to see it, but since Damien could look at things from a considerable distance away, he was able to see them clearly.
There were long black rope-like extensions stemming from its body and dancing in the air while its body structure seemed humanoid, walking on two legs.
Its head seemed similar to an ant if it was giant-sized with eerie black eyes and had dozens of tiny, pointy, sharp-tipped teeth that could easily rip through flesh and chew it to oblivion.
Even Damien wouldn't have noticed it if it weren't for the subtle vibrations he felt in the earth. And now he realized that these vibrations were being created by this very same monstrous creature each time it stomped on the ground.
Apparently, it was busy wreaking havoc in some faraway town of the Gale Empire. Damien remembered that the plague had already touched the remote towns of this empire, and maybe this creature coincidentally wandered here.
Damien was stunned by how strong this creature was since he could feel every step it was taking through the vibrations underneath. He could also feel the strong aura of death the creature was giving off, even if it was so far away. This only made him realize that this monstrous creature's power was beyond his.
And as if he hadn't seen enough, Damien saw a Middle-Level Profound Ethereal Realm cultivator rushing towards it in an attempt to kill it. Apparently, that powerful cultivator was inspecting the plague in that remote town when he saw this creature.

And just as he guessed, the profound ethereal realm cultivator froze right before he could get near the creature. It was as if he couldn't even move under its stifling aura.
But what happened next moment made Damien's breath freeze as he saw multiple rope-like thorny extensions of the creature stabbing into the profound ethereal realm cultivator's flesh. The powerful old cultivator could only helplessly flail his limbs around with a horrified expression as his skin and muscles began to lose their vitality rapidly. Within just two seconds, he was turned into a ghastly bag of bones with no traces of life present in his body.
It looked more like the creature was devouring him using its strange rope-like extensions.
And as if that was not enough, the creature dismembered his body into multiple pieces, which flew off in different directions.
*KREEEEE!!!!* The Abominable Fiend screeched into the air as if in excitement, and those people who heard it even dozens of miles away felt a chill pass down their spines.
"Ugh. That must have hurt," Farah commented as she wrinkled her nose and added in an urgent voice, "You better take me to the island quickly before that thing kills us all. Nobody in this continent can stop it. I am telling you!"
Damien took in a deep breath as he wondered if he could really lead such a monster to the Old World. He didn't even exactly know how strong it was or the things it could do.
"First, tell me more about the Abominable Fiend. I want to know its strengths and weaknesses quickly!" Damien said with a serious look, making Farah click her tongue as she said, "It is a monster that literally feeds on life. It will go wherever there is life and spread death. Once you are near it, you will get paralyzed by its aura since its death energy will stifle your ethereal energy."

"What the fuck is that?" Damien asked with a disgusted look.
"That is its main purpose. It will release death energy into the air to make itself comfortable. That is how it evolved. Of course, on its own, it wouldn't make any difference to the atmosphere here. But when it procreates on its own and produces dozens and hundreds of children, all of them collectively could turn this entire continent into a paradise of their own."
"It can lay eggs on its own?" Damien asked with raised brows.
"Not all of them. Only the queen like that one. It may be smaller than its male counterpart, but this one is the most dangerous and nasty one. But all it needs is to just lay one or two eggs, and that would be enough to breed an army of its own fast enough," Farah said as she nervously tapped her fingers together.
"Okay. Enough of that. Now tell me how I can defeat it," Damien said while telling his wives to not go anywhere near it, even if it was to help others. Those people near the Abominable Fiend were doomed anyway.
"For some reason, our ethereal energy gets weakened before death energy. Unless an ethereal cultivator is way stronger than a death energy cultivator, there are no chances of winning. The only time I have ever seen an ethereal cultivator triumph over a death energy cultivator of similar strength was when they possessed the Light Elemental Seed. Only something that pure and strong would bother a creature like this but killing it requires that person to be really strong, and not even you have that strength now," Farah said with a headshake, wishing she could just fly off already if only she knew how to get out of this continent. In her perspective, this entire continent was doomed.
But she felt Valentina's glare, making her wonder if this demoness actually could feel her intentions.

Lily, come to me. And Grandpa Elor, can you bring that 'thing' with you? This is the right time to use it."
