For a moment, upon hearing these sounds, everyone imagined Godnim was the one whose bones got shattered and was the one shouting in pain. It was the reasonable they thought like that, including even the experts.

However, what they were seeing was completely opposite of what they were expecting.

Most of them had their mouths fall open upon seeing Soran's mangled right hand, which he used to punch Godnim's chest. They could clearly see that every single bone in his right hand had shattered while his right arm suffered severe fractures as a whole since it seemed that the rebound impact was too severe.

And even more shocking was the fact that Godnim was still standing tall without even moving a single inch from where he was initially standing. They also didn't sense him using a wisp of ethereal energy, which proved that Godnim stopped Soran's punch, using only his body!

How could this be? If any other Sky Ethereal Realm cultivator was to take a powerful punch from a Heaven Ethereal Realm cultivator, they would be sent flying like a broken kite, and god knows if they would still be alive.

No…even if Godnim had the same cultivation as Soran, he would still not be standing still like this and would have become a bloody mess, especially since he wasn't even using any ethereal energy.

Ruthren finally frowned for the first time. He could no longer keep a calm face after seeing one of his prized experiments failing to even kill a young Sky Ethereal Realm cultivator. Even if Godnim was at the peak of the Sky Ethereal Realm, he shouldn't be standing alright like that after taking such a punch to the chest.

The Gale Emperor noticed the change in Ruthren's expression and smugly smiled, and even he himself was astonished at the turn of such events. Obviously, this boy named Godnim wasn't ordinary at all and was probably a hidden heavenly genius who was trying to prove his mettle before everybody.

Ruthren wanted to call back Soran and end this match immediately since he already could see how this was going to end. He was now only interested in learning more about this Godnim and understanding why he was so ridiculously strong despite his cultivation level.

He even considered the situation where Godnim was probably a product of some experimentation like Soran, no matter how impossible that was. But still, Godnim's aura was stable and solid. There were no irregularities at all, unlike Soran's.

However, even though Ruthren wanted the match to end, he just couldn't simply stop it, especially since, as an emperor, he couldn't go back on his word. Everybody already saw how he personally gave a green light for the conditions Godnim proposed.

Lily couldn't help but smile unconsciously in relief, seeing that Godnim was unhurt and instead Soran was the one who ended up taking the damage. Still, she wondered why she was getting so worried about this young man whom she didn't even know. Could it be that he was...

However, suddenly Yuria held her hand and said, "Lily, how about we try some of that tasty wine over there?"

Lily's brows pulled closer in confusion, not understanding why Yuria would suddenly ask her to drink some wine with her.

But then she heard Yuria's voice in her head, making her brows raise as she followed her while the people around them were still distracted by what they were seeing in the arena. What was happening in the arena was too exciting for anybody to look away.

"Ughh…you fucker…you broke my hand!" Soran groaned in excruciating pain that seemed to eat away at his nerves. Even after using his unstable ethereal energy to stabilize his injuries, they didn't seem to be much of a help, especially since every bone in his hand was shattered to bits.

Only a powerful healing pill can help him now, though according to arena rules, he can't take one during a spar. But can he continue to fight like this?

Damien clicked his tongue as he shook his head, "Aww, I didn't know you were that weak. Heck, I didn't even defend myself nor counter-attacked you. I really thought I was a goner back there, considering how big you were talking before. I guess now, with that hand, you can't even relieve yourself whenever you feel lonely…how pitiful."

window.pubfuturetag = window.pubfuturetag || [];window.pubfuturetag.push({unit: "64cc9e79c7059f003e4ad4b0", id: "pf-5109-1"})"You dare!!" Soran's face darkened upon realizing the meaning between Godnim's words and really wanted to bash his skull in though he was now feeling very wary of him as he realized that Godnim was surely hiding his true cultivation by using some convoluted trick!

"My turn now," Damien said with a subtle smirk as Soran's eyes widened in fear since he didn't want to take on his punch, especially when he couldn't even make him bleed with his strongest punch.

And so, he quickly circulated every single ounce of his ethereal energy to shield his body as he saw Godnim charge toward him with a raised fist.

Everyone held their breaths as they saw Godnim rushing at Soran as they watched in anticipation of what was going to happen.

Soran was now feeling a bit more confident after putting up his ethereal defensive energy since he believed that there should be no way Godnim would be able to break through his ethereal energy with just pure physical force instead of using his ethereal energy as well.

*BOOOM!!*

*CRACK!!*

*Slurk!*

The ethereal energy getting forcibly dispersed caused powerful ripples to spread in every direction to the point the ethereal barrier around the arena shattered as well, and those who were standing in front were quickly protected by the powerful Elders standing around who used their own ethereal energies to suppress the ripples from spreading further.
