Rise of The Anti God (Web Novel)chapter 476: crimson death

Damien sighed and said, "Please don't apologize. She could be moody at times, but she is right...Without her, I might not be alive now. I owe all the power I possess now to her. That is why I promised her to make sure her soul will be complete one day."

Kalypso didn't realize that Damien valued Luna so much and wondered if she made him think less of her because of arguing with Luna.

"But I also want your soul to heal as well. That is why I didn't mind you binding with my soul if that could mean you can nourish your soul with my energy. You want to help me because I am Anti-God's successor, and likewise, I want to help the last remaining trusted confidant of Anti-God. I can't think of any other way to repay him," Damien said with sincerity.

Kalypso felt relieved to see that Damien wasn't feeling bad about what she did and said, "You really don't have to. This is my duty. As for Luna, I promise to get along with her."

Luna, who was secretly watching everything from inside, snorted, "Hmph, acting all goody goody to get into his good books. Wait...why am I getting so pissed off? This is unlike me...I should never let mortal matters make me upset. I guess I should sleep for some time," Luna mumbled even though she didn't know why she was feeling a bit sore in her chest.

"But why is your weapon embodiment a sword? Wasn't it a dagger before?" Damien asked in a puzzled tone.

"My true form is that of a sword. I only took the shape of a dagger because of my energy deficit. There was no point in wasting more energy by assuming my true form. I don't know why...but I felt like I had to stay alive as long as I could. Maybe it was for your arrival. I am glad I didn't give up early on," Kalypso said with a cute sigh.

I am ready for battle any time though I am not as strong as before. Still, for your cultivation, I believe no other weapon can best me. In fact, even among your peers, you will surely have an edge as long as you wield me. I was not known as the Crimson Death for nothing. You surely won't be disappointed. I can anyway only be wielded by you since I have recognized you as my Master."

Damien was glad to hear that Kalypso would let him use her since he at first thought she would need some time to recoup energy.

However, he had no doubt in her words since how could a divine weapon, even if in a weakened state, not outshine all mortal weapons?

"Godnim? Are you okay?" Yuria couldn't sit still for so long and asked in a low voice out of concern while Valentin, who had a soul connection to Damien, was able to sense that he was perfectly alright, though some slight changes were taking place in his soul, which she couldn't understand what it was.

But within a few moments, his soul didn't have any ripple and seemed the same as before, making Valentina wonder if she imagined it.

Even the little king was feeling worried to see Godnim standing still on the same spot for a few minutes.

These three couldn't help but get worried since they saw the sacred dagger disappear into Damien.

Damien was able to hear Yuria's voice and realized that he had gotten so distracted with all this, he had kept them all waiting.

He slowly turned around and saw how these three were looking at him with knitted brows. He softly smiled, making all three feel relieved.

Damien walked towards them and said, "I am sorry for taking so much time," He then looked at the little king and said with an awkward expression, "Your Majesty, about the sacred dagger...I am sorry but…"

The little king waved his hand and happily said, "It's fine. I understand. Myria, here, told me how it was no ordinary weapon but a Spirit Weapon with a soul. To be honest, I have heard about these kinds of weapons from my father, but I always thought it was a myth since how could weapons possess souls? But only now I realize how ignorant I was and that the Spirit Weapon that was resting here was too powerful to be used by ordinary people like us. Even if my father or I was a king, maybe to this sacred dagger, we must be no different than any other cultivator of our strength. But Myria told me that powerful Spirit Weapons can be wielded by those whom they consider worthy."

With a look of awe, the little king continued, "So since it seems like the sacred dagger has chosen you, it must consider you worthy in certain aspects. It couldn't be in better hands. Even if my father and I safeguarded it like a treasure, a sacred weapon like this was never meant to stay hidden in a dark place like this forever. Its glory can only be revealed in battle, and I feel that with you as its Master, you will become quite an unstoppable force."

The little king said with wholeheartedness since he couldn't think of a better man to wield it.

This was all possible because of your kindness. Feel free to seek me out if ever you need my help," Damien said as he handed over his talisman since he owed this little king a lot.

The little king accepted his messaging talisman with a smile and said in a lowered voice, "So I take it you all are leaving this empire?"
