"Tristen, now, what do I owe to the pleasure of you visiting my camp?" Kale asked with a flippant smile as he sat down in his chair and continued, "Could it be perhaps you have come to accept your defeat since whatever happened inside failed?"
Damien smiled and said, "Of course not. In fact, things are going well though I wonder if you really want to take out weapons and wage a small war just to take back this small kingdom? Even I can't imagine the number of resources you would be wasting."
Kale harrumphed and said, "What is this? Are you afraid that I would attack soon and take back the Shizar Kingdom before you could?"
"Not really. In fact, if you do that without doing any proper scouting of the other party, which you can't anyway is pretty suicidal for your army. It will only make things easier for me to retake the kingdom after your army is battered by the Forsaken," Damien said with a laid-back expression as he got up, "Anyway, you don't have to listen to what I have said. I just gave you a fair warning since you are my brother, after all. What you do is up to you."
Kale's expression contorted slightly as he thought that Tristen indeed had a point since he knew going in blindly could be devastating, especially if the Forsaken had set up traps for them, and thus he would only be making it easier for Tristen to win.
This made him think that making the first move would be disadvantageous and that waiting for Tristen to make his move might be better.
"By the way, where is my sister-in-law? Did she not come?" Damien asked with a veiled smile, making Kale's expression a bit unsightly.
"What do you care, hmph. You mind your own business, and I will look after my own wife," Kale didn't know why but whenever Tristen mentioned his wife recently, he would feel as if someone was squeezing his heart while having thoughts he did not dare to entertain further.
"Relax. I was just curious since I thought your doting and loving wife would always be beside you. Anyway, forget I asked, though, as a dutiful husband, it's your responsibility to check in on your wife. After all, who knows if sister-in-law gets a bit adventurous without your presence?" Damien asked with a shrug.
"What do you mean?" Kale asked with a confused expression though inwardly, he felt that this guy's words didn't feel good.

Damien's eyes gleamed, seeing Kale's expression though he inwardly pitied this guy for having such a wife. But he still wanted to plant a seed of doubt so that if the right time comes then, Kale will play right into his plan.
Damien thought that Kale was actually harmless since he was simple-minded and didn't even plot anything nefarious against him despite being his rival for the crown prince title.
If it was anyone else in Kale's shoes, they would surely try every sinstrous method out there to get rid of their competitors, no matter how ruthless. But Kale never did anything like that and didn't even put on a double face but openly expressed his rivalry and determination to defeat him.
So, Damien thought that instead of getting rid of him, he could use him to deal greater damage to the Gale Emperor than expected if everything went well.
He knew doing everything by himself could take more time while also putting himself at risk of getting exposed by someone powerful like the emperor himself.
"Hmph, you should make sure Princess Yuria doesn't leave you before anything official happens. After all, she isn't even your fiance officially but just in name," Kale wanted to get back at Tristen and felt that this was a good point to throw on his face.
"Don't worry. I know my ways around women," Damien chuckled before walking out of Kale's tent, much to Kale's annoyance.
Damien's eyes gleamed, seeing Kale's expression though he inwardly pitied this guy for having such a wife.
Damien, who was lying down in his camp, smiled as he suddenly got up, seeing how Kale would probably buy whatever he just told them and thus wouldn't be attacking the Forsaken with his army anytime soon.

So, he decided to play it safe by trying to convince Kale to delay whatever plans he had.
It was almost night, and Damien tried to contact Triton again though there was no response again, making him wonder if he was doing something important.
So he decided to cultivate before he paid a visit to his women secretly.
He felt that he was almost about to breakthrough to the ninth level of the Spirit Ethereal Realm and just needed a little more time.
After cultivating for a few hours, he opened his eyes when it was midnight, feeling a bit refreshed as he mumbled with a smile, "Time to see my fiances."
Valentina and Yuria's tent was adjacent to Damien's, and so he knew it was quite easy for him to slip in, even if there was an ethereal formation around their tent which anyway wouldn't stop him since the formation was designed to allow only his and his women's entry.
He activated his Mirage of Myriad Phantasms ability as he zoomed towards the adjacent tent while the soldiers were busy talking and drinking outside.
He reached before his women's tent and entered it as the ethereal formation made way for him.
However, he was surprised to see that the inside was dimly lit with two beds on either side of the tent.
On one of the beds, he was surprised to see Valentina in her cute cat form, sitting on the bed with her eyes closed, and he could see that she was busy cultivating.
