Rise of The Anti God (Web Novel)chapter 389: do you believe in past life?

After Damien was taken away, King Krisen closed the kitchen doors and made sure no one else was nearby. However, inwardly his muscles were quivering with rage thinking about his pure and innocent daughter being sullied by some nobody he had never even seen before.

He had suddenly decided to visit the kitchen after getting some news of his daughter sneaking out by using some secret passage. So he came here to check whether what he heard was right only to receive a shock to his heart.

He was doing his best to suppress his anger so that he wouldn't scare his daughter or make her feel uncomfortable from the undulations of his ethereal energy.

That was how much he cared about her wellbeing, so he couldn't help but think whether a young and dashing boy like the one he just saw might have fooled his young daughter.

He slowly turned around to look at Yuria, who had her down while her face was still flushed because of all the passionate kiss and reunion she shared with Damien just a minute ago.

She wanted to utter some words, but then she raised her head and took a good look at her father before rushing towards him for a hug.

King Krisen was surprised by the sudden hug, but whatever reprimands he had in mind for her instantly dissolved away upon Yuria hugging him affectionately.

"Papa…" Yuria began to sob and broke down as memories of her father in her past life being shot down in cold blood flashed in her mind.

King Krisen felt an air of wistfulness and sorrow surrounding her and became concerned as he caressed her back.

King Krisen couldn't understand why she suddenly broke down, and he knew she would only hug him whenever she was emotionally vulnerable.

"No...of course, not. It's just...I am happy to see you," Yuria said in a shaky voice, confirming again that her father indeed was alive in flesh and blood and that just like in past life, her father was kind, with the only difference being that he was a very powerful man in this world.

This made her feel even more happy and proud even though she had no idea if her present father was a reincarnated one or not. But she really didn't care about it since she knew that this time she had to make sure none of the people she loves have something unfortunate happen to them.

Hearing her warm words, King Krisen couldn't help but feel moved. After all, no matter how powerful they are, every loving father would have their hearts melt upon sharing warm moments with their children.

He no longer had the mood to be angry with her and finally calmed down, thinking that his daughter must have a good reason to be involved with that boy.

He knew even if his daughter was young, she was still smart enough to think for herself, just like her mother.

He patted her back and gently pulled her back to see her face clearly, "Tell me, child...what is in your mind, and who is that boy you claim to be in love with? I again promise that as long as he didn't hurt you, I wouldn't hurt him."

"Papa...I want to tell, but I am afraid you might not believe me…" Yuria said as she kept glancing away, unsure of what to say or how to convince her father about Damien.

King Krisen sighed and looked around before saying, "Come, let's discuss this somewhere quiet."

He sat down on a chair and gestured to Yuria to sit down on a cushy chair.

"Now tell me whatever you have in your heart. Let me see why you think I won't believe you. You do know that I believe every single word of yours, right? So trust me," King Krisen said in a gentle tone, his expression no longer looking stern and cold but that of a concerned father.

Yuria looked at his eyes which carried a familiar sense of warmth, and said after a few moments of hesitation, "Papa, do you believe in reincarnation or anything like having past lives?"

King Krisen knitted his brows, "Of course there is. We have legends and myths of godly beings being the architects of the wheel of the afterlife. A man is born, lives his life, and dies before he is born again, and this cycle keeps on repeating till that person has found the true meaning of the Ethereal Way. This is one of the reasons we cultivate so that we can comprehend the Ethereal Way and break this cycle of reincarnation to finally achieve immortality."

Yuria's eyes slowly widened, not expecting there to be such a profound explanation regarding reincarnation and the Ethereal Way.

However, she was glad that her father had some sort of belief in these things and said, "Then would you believe me if I said that I had visions of my past life and these visions involved him and me?"

King Krisen's gaze narrowed as he tried his best to make sense of what he just heard.

"What if I also said that Damien also remembers me and whatever we experienced together in the past life?" Nathasia continued while also wondering how Damien remembers her and for how long he had the knowledge of his past life. It was just as puzzling as to how he had the same face. She even considered the fact of him jumping between worlds instead of the possibility that he died and reincarnated.

But still, he couldn't help but feel a sort of disbelief.

He then became a bit enlivened as he grasped her hands and asked, "Are you awakening more powers because of your divine soul?"
