Rise of The Anti God (Web Novel)chapter 245: don't give me frivolous answers

Everyone was startled to hear the sudden angry roar and turned their heads to see a man and woman in their forties with a dark expression descending towards the arena.

Everyone's eyes became round seeing the man as they whispered,

"Hey, isn't that Patriarch Wilson and Matriarch Calissa of the Dawson and Alston Family?"

"Yea, they are among the top five families. And also, they are actually branch families of the imperial family. I wonder why they are here in a pissed-off mood. Did Damien offend them somehow? If he did, then it's even worse than offending the other three families."

Leon Xeton pulled his brows together as he got up from his seat.

"Patriarch Wilson and Matriarch Calissa, this is not a place to shout. Please mind your bearings and tell me the reason for your sudden arrival."

Upon seeing Leon Xeton getting up, the two heads quickly softened their expressions as they got down to the ground and bowed before Leon.

They couldn't believe that Leon Xeton was here already as they didn't think that for a challenge between a junior and a senior, even the headmaster would be spectating it personally.

Even if they were the heads of two of the top five families, Leon Xeton was a supreme existence on a different level and standing.

It was not only because of his cultivation but also because of Leon Xeton's influence in the empire due to the various businesses he controls and manages, especially the biggest one, Rising Sun Trading Guild.

Leon descended towards Wilson and Calissa and asked in a formal tone which nobody else could hear, "What is with the sudden outburst?"

Wilson and Calissa bowed again, and as they raised their heads, Wilson said in an aggrieved tone, "Senior Leon, you might know that our children were promised to be wed with Dennisa and Roy. The patriarchs of the Clive and Rivers Family may not be privy to this because this is something the supreme emperor himself announced to us just a few days ago, and Harvey and Herwin failed to show up for that meeting. We had actually planned to meet with those two patriarchs after the match today. But now, our children's fiances have been injured so viciously, how could we turn away our heads?"

Calissa chimed in, "Yes, my daughter has been dreaming of marrying Roy since her childhood. She is such a beautiful pearl, so Senior Leon can imagine the heartbreak she might be suffering after hearing that Roy ended up in a half-dead state. We also only wanted the best for her, and Roy is a very promising young man, and there is no other man worthy of her."

Leon felt a headache, but in fact, even he didn't know that the emperor promised the children of Wilson and Calissa to Roy and Dennisa.

If that was really the case, then it could become a huge problem. If the emperor got angry, he could at most advise him but wouldn't be able to stop him if he decides to take drastic actions.

And observing the expressions of Wilson and Calissa, he knew that even if he sent these two back by saying not to create any troubles, they would immediately request an audience with the emperor himself and cry out their grievances to him.

Damien and Valentina frowned, seeing that some influential people had come to create trouble for them.

He already expected someone to stir up some trouble because of beating up Roy, but he never expected that he would see the family heads of two of the top five families.

And for some reason, it seems like they were very concerned about what happened to Roy and Dennisa.

Leon Xeton sighed and asked, "This challenge was conducted before everyone else. Damien and Valentina won without using any underhanded means, clean and straight. And I am sure that Damien did hold back. Otherwise, Roy would have died. In fact, it seemed that Damien had a hard time holding back because such was the difference in the ethereal strength between Roy and Damien. You have to understand that this challenge was something Roy and Dennisa accepted of their own will and participated. So it's a given that they will also have to be prepared to lose or win."

However, Wilson said in a discontented tone, "But Senior Leon, is this the way one should defeat their opponent in a simple spar? How can they, as the disciples of this prestigious school, be so heavy-handed? If they are already this vicious at such a young age, we can't imagine what kind of people they will grow up to be? I am sure as their headmaster; Senior Leon would also feel that they should understand the consequences for being so callous."

Leon narrowed his gaze, and he could see where this was going. He asked in a flat tone, "What do you two want now?"

Calissa said in an exhortatory tone, "We want Damien to be punished so that he would learn to not repeat the same mistake twice, and as for Valentina, since she didn't put Dennisa in a severely injured state but instead humiliated her in public, we would be fine with talking it out with her master, Alchemist Azrael about her behavior."

I am sure the emperor wouldn't like to be bothered about such mundane things, and if we exact out justice here itself, everything would be alright."

"What justice?" A frigid voice suddenly sounded from the front.

Wilson and Calissa were surprised to see Reva walking towards them with a cold expression which they already found normal. But what surprised them was her tone in which she talked to them and the fact that she even approached them first.

Usually, whenever they visited the imperial palace, they rarely got to see her, and even if they did, she wouldn't pay any mind to them other than a simple greeting.

They also didn't try to be too casual with her since, despite being her seniors, they felt some inferiority deep in the bones just from her aura, especially when looking into her eyes.

They bowed in respect, bending their backs even more than how they did to Leon Xeton, "Your Highness."

They didn't even dare to look at her eyes and felt a headache, thinking that dealing with Reva would be even harder than Leon since she was a part of the main imperial family and someone with one of the highest status, way above them.

"What problem do you have with my disciple?" Reva asked flatly without shifting her gaze from them.

Calissa tried to force a polite smile as he said, "Your Highness, we don't mean any harm to your disciple. But as you already saw, my daughter's fiance ended up in a very pitiful state and in a humiliating way at that. I am sure since he is your disciple, you would want him to be disciplined instead of letting him go and continue such behavior in the future as well."

Reva crinkled her eyes and knew that these two wouldn't easily leave without creating some problems for Damien. As for Valentina, they would at most try to get some benefits from Alchemist Azrael but wouldn't go too far to offend him as well.

Since Damien was a nobody, they thought they could easily do whatever they wanted with him but not anything too severe since he was a one-in-a-million prodigy. It was not that easy to get rid of a genius like him even though he didn't have any backing and since his girlfriend was Valentina as well.

They had to account for the fact that Valentina might ask the help of her master to defend Damien.

And they thought that Reva was concerned about Damien because he was her most promising disciple, and it would be bad for her if something happened to him.

Instructors would always have that one genius disciple they wanted to nurture and see them grow up into a powerhouse and later turn them into one of their confidants.

Since Damien was so extraordinary, they realized Reva naturally would be concerned, especially considering her status.

Even they couldn't imagine the heights Damien could reach and felt threatened by it. So, they at least wanted to teach him a lesson and make him understand who the real masters are.

Reva, however, asked them in an icy tone, "Is that so? If the roles were reversed and Damien asked for justice, would you have given it to him? Don't give me frivolous answers."
