Ning had no leftover grief that he had to deal with. Everything he did, he had dealt with in his past life and including this life.

He had gone through many trials and tribulations that had hardened him as a warrior.

And yet, after an hour of telling his parents about his life, when it came time for him to leave, he couldn't help but feel the tears stream down his cheeks.

He chuckled a bit when he felt them wet his cheeks. "Well, at least that proves that I'm not heartless, I suppose," Ning thought.

He stood up to leave, but before he did, he turned around. "System, is it possible to know where they reincarnated to and if their current lives are happy?" he asked.

<I'm sorry, they have no more lives after this.>

<This was their last reincarnation.>

The tears that were starting to stop flowed once more. "What?" he asked. The system said nothing.

"Are you saying that them dying in such an unfair way was the last life they ever lived?" he asked. Rage was starting to fill his heart at the moment.

<I'm afraid so.>

Ning was getting only angrier when the system said something else that made him even more angrier.

<Because of the influence of the many worlds, their souls could not pass away to the realms of souls smoothly, and due to the complications they suffered, their souls were rejected, forcing this life to be their last.>

"Goddammit!" he shouted as he slammed the ground with a force that put cracks all over the surface. He had fortunately slowed down at the last moment, or this whole side of the planet would have been destroyed due to various earthquakes and tsunamis from his slam.

He was just that strong at the moment.

Still, his anger did not disappear. How could it? After all, if the universes were coming together, there was nothing left for him to place the blame on.

All he could do was blame fate, and that was as useful as trying to collect water in a net.

He took a few deep breaths as the cool air of the night filled his lungs. He used that to calm his head as well as he could before hearing a bunch of shouts from the distance.

"Ah, it's the grave keeper. Let's leave," Ning said before teleporting away. He arrived back in front of White Depth Field and Saphandra who were waiting for them.

Saphandra looked at him with warm eyes. "You were visiting your parents' graves?" she asked.

Ning looked at her weirdly. "How did you know that? Did you spy on me?" he asked.

"Did you forget? I hear everything that goes on between you and the system," she said.

"Ah, right. Yeah, I was visiting their grave. And I'm done visiting them. We can leave now," he said.

"Let us leave then, master. I wish to see more of this place known as earth," White Depth Field said.

"Yeah, let's go," Ning said. He created a rather normal-looking car and gained knowledge on how to drive them. Once he did, he let White Depth Field get in and drove it onto the highway before going toward the city.

Along the way, he would see many moving s about products that were endorsed by hunter guilds. That only made Ning more curious about the current situation of this world.

"System, give me thorough details on everything that has happened in this world since the interference from the two universes," Ning said.

<Understood.>

In 2023, a little more than a year after Ning's death, a white portal appeared in the center of Manila city, in the Philippines. People were curious as to what it was, but no one could tell for certain.

The government in the Philippines as well as many other countries sent their best researchers, but they learned nothing.

The world wanted to learn more about this random occurrence and was gathering a task force to go through this portal when another portal appeared in Pateros in the Philippines again.

Before anyone could make sense of what was happening, another one appeared in Mandaluyong, in the Philippines again. People wondered what was so different about the Philippines for it to have 3 random portals appear within the same month.

The world focused its eyes on every other city in the Philippines, expecting another portal to open somewhere.

However, the next portal opened in Iraq in the city of Baghdad. This threw humanity for a loop until the next one opened in Mumbai, India.

Then Bangladesh, the Philippines again, Haiti, Israel, and many other countries had these portals appearing one by one in quick succession.

It was only a full 3 months after the first portal opened that someone managed to figure out the reason for where the portal was opening.

It turned out, that the portal opened in the place with the densest population when going by area.

As soon as the knowledge moved around, people noticed that the portals were in fact following a pattern of appearing in the place with the densest population.

But of course, the portals continued appearing for almost an entire year, sometimes appearing in the same city multiple times.

As a result, most of the cities in the entire world were now covered in the random portal of swirling energy.

People tried everything thing they could from using machines to animals to humans. But nothing worked. Living flesh could not enter, and that nonliving never returned.

Exactly 400 days after first appearing, all the portals in all the various cities opened at once, and they spewed out monsters.

This was an incident that would later be known as Dungeon Breaks.

The monsters were weak, not even as strong as a wolf. However, they had the power of numbers with them as they trampled the cities in their footsteps.

Humanity fought back, killing what it could, bombing what it couldn't, and yet they didn't win.

At the end, when all hope seemed lost, they arrived to save the day.
