Reincarnated as an Energy with a Systemchapter 727: trouble in the palace

Ning fought many more beasts throughout the day. The odds kept changing against him more and more, but he kept winning.

Throughout the day, he had to summon skills from 3 different beasts. The first was the snow beast. He used it for a while, but using the same attacks over and over got boring to him at some point.

Next, he summoned a lightning beast. Surprisingly for him, that was the summon that gave him the most fun. Throwing out lightning bolts, creating thunderous noises, and even teleporting around with lightning.

Lastly, Ning summoned a telepathic beast's skills, that could help him read a beast's mind and even hurt it mentally. He didn't use those skills for anything more than just dodging the beasts' attacks before they even started attacking.

With these 3 skills altogether and his supreme staff skills, Ning managed to defeat every single beast that came his way.

Many of the audience members were sad in the end, while a few of them were beyond ecstatic. Having done nothing but continuously bet on Ning, they ended up being richer than they would've ever expected themselves to be.

While the rest of them were saddened by the fact that they lost quite a large sum of money.

The boss looked from his seat high in the tower with absolute glee on his face. While it wasn't finalized, a staff had brought him a rough estimate on how much they had made.

If the numbers were half as true, this battle was even more successful than the one with Saphandra and Billy.

Around 5 pm, Ning finally left the stage having won every match. He was immediately taken to the boss who thanked him a lot for bringing in so much money.

"You have earned quite a lot too," the boss said. "Just wait a bit, I will count how much you have earned and bring it to you. It will just take half an hour maybe."

"It's fine," Ning said. "I am in a little hurry. You can do the math slowly, I will come for my money tomorrow."

Ning left the place to go to the palace to meet up with the princess and continue her lesson.

However, before he could leave, he was stopped by Saphandra.

"Hey, what's up?" he asked.

"Oh, my pearls went dull again. Would you mind getting them recharged again?" she asked.

"Uh… sure," Ning said. He didn't have anything else to do tonight anyway. "I can do that."

Little blue came out from her side and chirped like a bird. Ning almost thought he could understand her, but those random chirps weren't any language at all.

"See you later," he said. "Bye, little blue."

Ning turned around and left the arena. Many people recognized him and tried to come up to him and talk, but Ning only smiled and left, saying he had something to do.

After a while, he finally arrived at the palace.

However, when he was about to enter, the guards stopped him.

"Huh? It's me," he told them.

"I know, brother. We can't let you go in right now. King's orders to stop anyone from entering," the guard said.

"Huh? Do you why?" Ning asked.

"I don't know, but there seems to be some sort of problem inside. We keep hearing shouts and even the battleships have landed already," the guard said.

"Woah, must be something serious. I wonder if someone was hurt or something," Ning thought. "Can you go tell the queen that I am here? I can help with whatever the problem is."

"I don't know if I can—"

"The queen. She knows what I'm capable of. If they need help, she will definitely want my help," Ning said.

The guards sighed and one of them left to go ask the queen.

A few minutes later, the guard returned with a both horrified and curious look on his face.

"What's wrong?" the other guard asked.

"I… I don't know. But the atmosphere there is very serious. Both the King and Queen are angry," the guard said. Then, his eyes switched to Ning. "But when I said you were here, the queen was relieved for some reason. She's asking you to visit her in the palace hall immediately."

"Oh, okay," Ning said and basically sprinted inside.

The army was roaming the insides of the palace while all the servants were made to stop and were being checked.

One of the soldiers saw Ning and stopped him with a gun pointed at him.

"Who are you?" the soldier asked.

"I'm the princess's tutor. I'm being summoned by the queen," Ning said.

"The queen? Come with me," the soldier took him personally.

When they arrived at the door of the palace hall, it was fully shut. However, he could hear shouts of anger from inside.

The soldier knocked on the door and suddenly the room went silent.

One of the captains that Ning had seen in the battleships opened the door and Ning finally entered.

When he did, he was surprised to see the number of people that were there.

The court officials, the captains, the many maids that were secretly being taught by the queen, and finally both the king and the queen were in the room, giving it a rather packed feeling.

Ning walked to the center of the room, walking past the many captains and maids that were standing there doing nothing.

When he arrived at the front, he saw Joann lying there with her head kneeled to the ground.

He looked around at the people that were staring back at them.

"What is going on, your majesty?" Ning asked.

"Brother Ning, can you tell me where you have been today?" the King asked.

"Today? I was in the arena fighting from morning to just about half an hour ago," Ning said. "Why do you ask?"

"So you did not at any point come to the palace today?" the King asked, while his feet started shaking.

"No," Ning said.

A grave look appeared on both the King and Queen's faces, as the King opened his mouth to speak.

"Then it is true," the king said. "Our daughter has really been kidnapped."
