"Let me take her," Ely said and took Emma from Ning's hand.

Ning let the baby go, but he hovered around, looking at the two of them.

"Hi! Do you like mommy?" Ely asked as she made a funny smiling face towards the curious child. Emma smiled back and that brought joy to the entire room.

The adults gathered around, talking to the baby even though they knew she couldn't respond back. They all talked with their high voice to amuse the child and had fun

Everyone smiled, except Ning.

On his face was nothing but worry and confusion. He stuck around, hoping Emma would just fall asleep for now, but with the people all trying to talk to her, it was not possible.

"I must say, given how long she took, I half-expected her to come out looking older," Jung-Hee said. "At least, older than a newborn."

"Well, she does seem to be more mentally developed than all newborns. Look, she's barely cried at all," Hi-Ah said. "And she's even looking around so much. Newborns shouldn't be able to do that so early."

"You guys should put her to sleep," the Grandmother said. "Newborn babies need a lot of sleep. She might be the child of cultivators, but she's still a newborn baby."

Ely nodded. "I should probably feed her again too," she said.

"Yes, let me help you," Hi-Ah said.

Blue didn't give much thought to the conversation happening around him though. He was too focused on trying to make funny faces to make Emma laugh.

"She can't laugh right now, Blue," Ely said. "It should take her a few months."

"But she can already smile, can't she?" Blue asked. "Laughing is not that far off."

"It is far off," Ely said.

"Look at her. Your mommy doesn't want you to laugh at all. Emma, show us that you can laugh," Blue said as he got close. Emma turned toward Blue and gave a curious look.

Ning saw her try to move her little arms and got ready to catch her if she moved very quickly, but before he could, a magic circle appeared out of nowhere in the air for a split second, and Blue was struck with something that sent him flying back.

He struck the wall of the house where the formation in the wall shined for a second, showing how sturdy it was.

The house defenses immediately activated as artifacts appeared from everywhere else and barriers sprung up all around them.

That all wasn't very bad, but then the offensive artifacts appeared as well.

Ely had set the defenses in a way that did not activate normally at all. It only did when it detected disturbances. In that case, the house would sense everyone inside and see if they were recorded individuals or not.

Everyone in the house had their aura recorded when they entered through the door or when they arrived through the magic circles.

However, there was someone in the house currently whose aura had not been recorded as of yet. So, the offensive artifacts instantly targeted Emma.

Maybe it was because she was weak from having just given birth, or maybe she wasn't expecting such a thing to happen, Ely couldn't stop the attacks from the artifacts in time at all.

Everyone else was one step behind to realize what was happening, but Ning was already there. He was ready to stop the artifacts from hitting his child, but before he could do anything, the attacks vanished.

A loud crash sounded as the many artifacts in the room were suddenly destroyed, and their attacks had disappeared.

No one understood what just happened at all, so they stood there in silence with shock on their faces.

"Hehehe!"

Then, they heard a small peal of laughter and turned around just in time to catch Emma making those sounds.

"She… she laughed."

Ely's eyes went wide and even Ning was very surprised.

"Argh!" Blue got up while holding the back of his head. "What… what just happened?"

"I think sister Ely hit you because you were being too noisy," Sorlus said. "You shouldn't bother the baby."

"No! It wasn't me," Ely said. "I didn't hit him."

"I'm pretty sure I saw a magic circle in front of aunt Ely," one of the children said.

"But Ely says it's not her," Chase said.

"Ning…" Ely turned toward Ning to ask for him to explain.

Ning couldn't help but sigh. "It was Emma," he said.

"Huh?" Everyone looked at him confusedly, as if they were wondering if he was joking.

"I'm serious, it was Emma," Ning said. "She just sent Blue flying."

"Huh?" they still didn't believe it. "How could it be Emma?"

"I don't know, but it is her," Ning said. "For some reason, from the moment she was born, she has the strongest cultivation base and Mana tier on the entire planet."

"What?" Ely looked at Ning with a confused look.

"Strongest?" the others looked at him. "When you say strongest, are you…"

"On cultivation base and mana alone, she is stronger than me as well," Ning said. "The reason you guys can't notice is that she is too far up your league. She should appear to your senses the same way I do."

Everyone's eyes were incredulous. What they heard was something they could not believe at all, and rightfully so, but even then the shock of hearing something like that was way too intense.

"And you didn't tell me yet?" Ely asked.

"I was trying to figure out what was happening," he said. "But I couldn't."

The rest of them looked at him, waiting for him to explain some more, but Ning really didn't have any explanation.

"I really don't know what is happening. I've heard of people being born with a cultivation base after they were in the womb for a few years, but this is something else entirely. I genuinely have no idea at all."

"Then… what do we do?" Ely asked worriedly.

Ning shrugged. "I don't know," he said. 'But I'm sure everything is fine."

"Hehehe," Emma laughed once more and everyone turned to look at the incredible child she was.
