After that, Aurora snapped. When she came to it, her sister's corpse was gone and the whole place was frozen in a blue chilling ice. On her own, Aurora had stayed there for the whole week until Gray had arrived, every night she struggled to sleep, having nightmares and reliving the scene over and over again.
"Hah… Because of me, the only one who actually gave a damn died… Isn't it funny?" She asked as she placed her palm on her face. "Maybe I should've been the one to die instead of her."
Gray was taken a back, he wanted to deny it. He wanted to grab her and prove to her that she was wrong, but did he even have the right?
"Aurora…"
Aurora suddenly got up, just as he called out to her, interrupting him as she said. "I'm going to go get some fresh air… Don't worry about me."
Aurora strolled through the sector, trying to clear her mind. Her eyes still cold, holding but a glint of light.
"Why did I react that way?" She asked, letting out a sigh.
'After everything he's done… Argh…! I'm so stupid!'
"Why did I have to tell him about that…? Why did…" She calmed down as memories of her sister flashed by her mind. Her nose reddened, and tears swelled up on her eyes again. "*Sniff*"
Without saying anything, she continued to walk. The sweet alluring scent from the restaurants seemed to have no affect on her loss of appetite. She wanted to go back and applies to Gray but she wasn't even sure how she'd look him in the eye.
"Sorry Gray…"
Aurora was interrupted, as a voice called out to her from behind.
"Oi, Gray's girl!" The voice said.
Confused, Aurora turned back to the voice, only to find a group of six boys, approaching her.
The three leading the group were the ones which she could sort of remember. Bald with brown eyes. He was the one who was eating the donut. The other was the one with short spiky black hair, and piercings all over his ears.
And the last, Axel. He stopped just ahead of her, towering over her as he gazed at her with his sharp white eyes. Snow white hair, dyed red throughout the edges.
If not for the fact that they were Gray's friends, Aurora wouldn't have recognized them.
"Gray's friends… What do you want?" She asked with a moody tone.
Axel could see from her eyes that she was having a bad day, for him, girls in this state couldn't have been any easier to take advantage of.
"Yeah, that's right, We're Grays friends." Said Axel with a friendly smile.
"Best friends!" Luke added as he forced a smile.
The other guys also nodded.
Aurora found their reaction strange, somewhat faked even. But since Gray seemed to recognize them, there wasn't much to doubt.
She raised her brow, gesturing that she was waiting for them to say what they wanted.
"Ah… Right. We were passing by and noticed that you looked a little down, so we were wondering if you wanted to maybe hang out with us? We'll hopefully bring up your mood." He said as he gave an innocent smile.
"Thanks but no thanks." She replied before casually walking away.
'Since I'm here I might as well get us something to eat-'
Her thought was interrupted as Axel grabbed her by the arm, stopping her on her tracks. No matter how much she tried to move it, it wouldn't budge.
"Let go." She demanded.
The smile on his face remained as he asked. "Why the rush? We promise you'll have a good time."
"I'll ask nicely again because you're Gray's friend. Let go."
"And if I don't?"
*Crackle* *Pshhh*
Axel retracted his arm at a speed faster than the eye could track before glancing at it. His hand, was partly frozen. The temperature around Aurora dropped whilst she glared at him.
*Whistle~*
"An ice ability? That's a first. Where in the world did Gray find someone like you?" Axel asked.
Shards of ice slowly formed in the air around him, each directed at him.
"Oh… That looks bad alright. But are you sure you want to do that?" He asked pointing at the badge on his shirt. It was a strange platinum badge with a pentagon shape. "This badge here is proof that I work for them as an ability user. Attack me and You'll be kicked along with Gray and those kids."
Upon hearing that, the temperature reverted to normal and the ice shards dispersed into mist.
"See, that's better. We can just talk this out." He said as he placed his hand on her shoulder.
The instant he did so, a vein popped on Aurora's forehead. "What part of no, don't you understand!? Just leave me alone!" She yelled out.
Following that, another shout came from the distance, interrupting Axel who was about to reply.
"AXEL!!"
The shout was so loud, it echoed inside of the dome, bringing attention towards them.
Aurora turned in the direction of the voice and without even realizing, her heart began to pound loudly, just from seeing him. She was surprised, the first time she had heard him shout so loud.
It was Gray. Her was wearing the same white shirt with shorts from before but only this time he carried a pouch.
Surprised, they could only watch as Gray approached them, an angered look could be seen on his face as he glared at Axel.
Luke was the first to stand in Gray's path.
"Oi, Gray… Or should I say dog, is that really the way you should talk to your Master-"
*CRASH!*
Luke was interrupted as Gray grabbed his face before slamming him to the ground, all in a single motion. The force was so overwhelming that he was instantly knocked unconscious.
"What the hell do you think you're doing to my Aurora!?"
'M-My?' Aurora repeated in her mind, her cheeks flushed red.
