Gray's eyes widened when he saw the person's face.
Long dark blonde hair with sharp brown eyes hiding behind her rectangular glasses.
"That's..."
It was the secretary. The same one who was always with the president.
'How did the secretary manage to escape but the president stayed back at base?'
'Did she betray him?' Gray wondered.
She seemed to be given instructions to not only Ria but also the surrounding soldiers which were getting things organised.
There didn't seem to be anything suspicious or evil about her at first glance, in fact, Gray could tell she was genuinely doing her all to help the people just by watching.
'No... I don't think she'd have been able to escape without being under direct command if that were the case.'
Gray glanced over at Ria.
'And besides... My sister isn't as fragile as she once was.'
"Amazing, isn't it?" The olive drab haired guard beside Gray asked.
"Even with all the suffering and losses they've experienced, they haven't given up and have focused on doing what's best for the people... Just like you." The brown-haired guard continued.
The two glanced and Gray and smiled before simultaneously saying. "It's people like that who were admire."
Gray looked at the two with a confused expression before asking. "Are you you two siblings?"
The two looked at each other and giggled for a moment before the olive drab haired guard responded. "We're just close friends who've known each other for a long time."
Gray nodded in understanding.
"Close friends, huh..."
'I wonder if I have anyone like that?'
When it came to having another friend of the same gender, the first one who had come to Gray's mind was Realm, although he couldn't really call him a friend.
"Do you two know anything about where Realm and his family might be? Did they make it here safely?"
The two soldiers were surprised at the fact that Gray even knew who realm was.
"Realm is out on getting supplies alongside many other corps members. His mother and sister are his only family and they are being taken care of."
Gray looked up at the ceiling and smiled. 'Looks like things did end up working out for you after all, didn't it? Realm.' He thought to himself inwardly.
Gray then lowered his head and looked at his sister working hard the on his face grew brighter in the process.
He turned around back to the doorway behind him, surprising the two guards beside him.
"Savior, sir? Where are you going? Weren't you going to talk to your sister?"
Gray shook his head.
"She's focused right now, I don't want to interrupt her."
"She's also doing a far better job than I expected, there's no need to be here."
Gray could help out but there was something much more important for him to do now.
"Can't you just give us a speech to bring hope for the people? There's also a few higher ups you need to talk to and-"
Gray interrupted the olive drab haired guard as he coldly glanced at him.
His cold stare not only forced him to shut his mouth but also shiver in fear. The other guard beside him felt the pressure too even though it wasn't targeted at him.
Suddenly, Gray's expression quickly changed as he realised, he was letting out some of his bloodlust.
"Oh- Sorry... My emotions have been all over the place recently." Gray spoke with a slike chuckle as rubbed the back of his head.

[During the state of evolution User's emotions become irregular.]
"..."
The guards were speechless, they didn't know what to say.
"Anyhow... I'd love to stay and help out, but at the rate with which things are going, it would be more effective for me to also bring supplies. Heading out is the best bet."
"There are two other people whose safety I need to confirm. These two are peole who are worth more to me than my own life, I came in here expecting to find them but..."
[X-Ray: Level 1]
Gray looked around with X-Ray, they were nowhere in sight amongst the countless hordes of people.
Gray had come all the way in sight and had his eyes on the lookout but nothing came up.
Even when he used X-Ray to check through the other sectors around, he came out empty handed.
Their features weren't common, if he hadn't spotted them up to now then that could only mean one thing. They weren't here.
"...If that is what our saviour... No, the supreme commander wants, then we understand."
The two corps member snapped their legs together and saluted at Gray.
"Well then, guide me back out. I'm going to search for them."
The two guards nodded in understanding.
Ria at the time who was completely focused on transporting the materials had no idea that Gray was there. It hadn't even passed by her mind.
The secretary on the other hand, she had glanced in Gray's direction right before he left.
She adjusted her glasses and muttered. "So, Gray has returned... Just as the president had predicted."
"He seems to be leaving for some reason." She added.
"Who's leaving?" Ruby interrupted, appearing before her.
The secretary adjusted her glasses and gave Ruby a kind-hearted.
"No one at all..."
'He probably came with the intention of checking up on his sister, and after confirming that she was okay, left with the intention of not interrupting her from her tasks.'
Ruby tilted her head to the side with a confused look before nodding and returning to her tasks.
'Best course of action for me is to act like I saw nothing and not get involved.'
"Good job so far everyone, if we keep this up we'll be done in an hour."
"Ah... It 's cold..." Violet muttered as she laid down beside Aurora with her back to the ground.
"Sorry..." Aurora apologised as she too had her back against the ground.
"Nah... I don't think that's you... This is a different kind of cold..." Violet asked.
"*Cough* Yeah... Me too... I think we lost too much blood..." Aurora responded.
The two remained side to side, A pool of blood was beneath them from all the blood they had lost. Their eyes were slowly losing their light.
Their eyes were swollen from all the tears which had flowed out of htem.
"Hey... Violet... I... Gray... I love him... More than you... More than his sister... More than anyone."
"He's... He's the only one I have left."
Violet frowned for a moment upon hearing this, but her expression slowly grew relieved after as she forced out a chuckle.
"Saying you love him more than anyone isn't fair... Even I... I love him too... More than you both combined! *Cough!* *Cough!*"
Aurora slowly turned her heard towards Violet and narrowed her eyes at her, Violet did the same.
After staring the each other for a few seconds, the two suddenly began giggling with one another.
The giggle lasted a few seconds before the two finally asked the question.
"So... What now?" They simultaneously asked.
They seemed unsure of what to do. They both liked him and didn't want to give up on him, even if they had grown very close.
"...What if we... Share?" Aurora concluded.
Violet's eyes widened as she heard that. She hastily nodded with a bright smile present on her face.
"Why didn't we... Think of that sooner...?" Violet asked as her vision grew blurry.
Aurora's vision was also growing darker, the two were losing their sight.
They were glad to finally reach a conclusion which resulted in them being on good terms. They both really hated arguing with one another.
But even if they had reached finally reached their conclusion and made up? The end result hadn't changed.
No matter how much they struggled to move, their body just wouldn't listen.
"It really is cold... Isn't it?" Aurora asked with a much lighter expression.
"..."
There was no reply from Violet's side.
"Violet...?" Aurora called out to her in a shaky tone.
There was no reply,
Violet's eyes were slowly closing, there was blood coming out of both her ears and mouth.
It was taking her all just to speak, he body wasn't listening, she couldn't move or do anything to help.
But still, she forced herself to at least try to keep her up.
"Don't... Don't fall asleep... Violet!!"
But by then, Violet could no longer here her.
Tears began flowing down Aurora's eyes one more time. They didn't even know where they themselves were other than the fact that they were in the underground rails.
They hadn't seen a single person or living thing in the past kilometre, only zombies roamed down here.
There was no one to call for help, but even still...
"VIOLET!! Someone please...!! Someone... Anyone... *Cough!* Please...!!! *Cough!!* Violet will.... ViIOLET WILL-"
*VWWWOOOOOOM!!*
*BURST!*
A surge of warm air burst past them, the sound of resembling that of a sonic boom followed right after and in a blink.
There a familiar figure appeared, holding onto a flask as he poured it into both of their mouths simultaneously.
Aurora's eyes teared up as she saw him, she looked as if she was going to burst into tears just from the seeing him.
But his expression grew frightening, veins bulged out of his neck and forehead as he muttered. "She's... Not breathing."
