Pause System: Harem In The Apocalypsechapter 152: 152: threat of extinction.

Gray wasn't sure how the device worked, but since it was just a speaker he assumed one of the buttons would allow him to speak.

Gray grabbed the device and pressed down on the button.

"Testing... Testing. *Clears Throat.* Can you hear me?" He asked.

[...Who are you?]

"Ah, so your race speaks English too. That's a good coincidence." Said Gray,

[…I assume you've killed 021?]

Gray let out a sigh.

"Don't worry about that... Rather... You have bigger things to worry about." He said. "Send this order to whoever is in charge..."

The light in Gray's eyes grew dimmer, the air around him colder and a dark chilling aura was released as he narrowed his right silver eye narrowed slightly.

"Leave... I'm done trying to seek out peace... If you don't turn back now... Then It won't just be your army... I'll personally go to your world and kill all of you."

Ria didn't say anything, her expression was just as cold as Gray's.

Whether or not he was joking didn't matter, if that was the path he'd take, then she'd follow after it while watching over him.

That's what it meant for her to be his sister. It was the least she could do.

[...Ha...HAHAHAHAHA!]

Countless laughs resounded through the microphone looking device.

The one on the other side of the frequency seemed to have gotten a good kick out of Gray's threat.

[You... You're a funny one... An inferior race which can't even clear the Labyrinths to prevent it's world from being invaded dares to think they can threaten us?]

The voice changed, sounding slightly more demonic as the one on the other side of the line became enraged.

[Did you know... Conquering all of the Labyrinths is one of the methods to prevent an invasion?]

[We've already conquered a continent of yours.]

[What can your tiny, insignificant self amount to?]

Gray didn't say anything.

[Don't worry... We'll keep you all of you as slaves... A bug should know it's place.]

"...That's a relief." Said Gray.

A smile could be seen on his face.

[…?]

"Thank you..." He said. "Now I won't have to feel bad about killing you all." He added with a smile.

Ria felt shivers rush down her spine as Gray's blood lust seeped out.

"Extinction... Just like how us humans are going through out, I'll give you a taste."

The blood lust felt purer and darker than anything she had seen before.

It felt hollow and isolated, almost like a pitch-black room.

She couldn't get it out of her mind.

'Just how much... How much suffering did he go through after we separated?' She wondered dejectedly.

*Crack*

Gray broke the microphone with his barehand before throwing it out of the building through one of the broken holes and windows on the wall.

"Are you okay?" Gray asked as he placed his hand on her shoulder. "You looked kind of down, was it because of what I said?" He added with a nervous smile

"No... It's not that... I'm fine, sorry..." Said Ria as she shook her head.

"...Good. Then, let's get going. We'll be able to get a better idea of what's going on with this new artifact." He said.

Ria nodded before following after.

As she watched his back getting further and further away from behind, she stopped and called out to him.

"Brother..." She said.

Gray turned back around and noticed that she was on the verge of crying again.

"What's wro-"

"I-I! I promise that I'll never leave you again... So...!"

Her voice trembled, it hurt to think about it.

"So please don't feel lonely anymore...!"

Gray's eyes slightly widened.

"Aurora... Violet... Lara... Ruby... Kylo and Lita. We're all always thinking about you! So don't you dare...! Don't you dare shoulder everything on your own...!"

She rubbed her eyes, her cheeks blushed red as she yelled out.

"You're our Gray! And more importantly, my brother! The most important person in the world in the world to me! You hear me!?" She suddenkly pointed.

After saying those words, she froze up, her blush had become a vibrant red as the embarrassment came rushing in.

'Ah... that was so cringe and corney...' She cried inwardly without moving a muscle.

Without saying anything, Gray walked up to her.

The closer he got, the more nervous she became.

"W-Why aren't you saying-"

Before she could finish speaking, Gray moved in and hugged her, catching her by surprise.

"Thanks Ria... Your brother needed that." He smiled.

"A-As long as you understand..." She responded, stuttering as she hugged him back.

She dug her face into his chest to hide her expression. She was good at teasing others but surprisingly weak when it came to her.

''This warmth, this feeling... It's something I'd never want to let go of.' Gray thought to himself.

He steeled his expression, the light in his eyes remained dim as he looked at the destruction taking place outside through his new eyes.

[Omniscient Optic Eye Form.]

[X-Ray: Level 1]

'That's why... No matter what happens or what it takes... To keep everyone safe...'

Gray sent a glare straight at the next Kessho's he could find through the X-Ray vision.

'I'll kill them.'

-Kingdom Of Khouria

-After the horned ones left back for the war.

The queen dowager's chambers.

"Queen dowager... Are you sure it was best not to go with them?" Her male guard asked as he stood outside her chamber.

"Queen dowager... Does this title truly mean anything in this Kingdom? It doesn't." She replied. "Me being there wouldn't have also meant or changed anything only caused more confusion." She continued.

She looked up at the ceiling, reminiscing slightly.

"Let's leave things to Ruby and help her out by managing what we already can... She's already proven to us that she has the characteristics of an empress."

"And she's also got that Grey haired boy with her..."

The guard listened quietly and wondered whether or not he should voice his thought or not.

He decided to go through with it.

"At first I... I thought you were trying to steal the throne and go against her, I'm sure she expected the same." He said.

The queen dowager's cheeks swelled up slightly. She twirled her cyan green hair with her index finger.

"I may be her step mother but a mother is still a mother... I only want what's best for her and always have." She muttered.

"Besides... That girl, I'm sure she'll grow to be a much better empress than I could ever be."

"I'm sure of it..."

"Deploy another shield! The enemy is on the move, don't let them infiltrate our ships!" Commanded Ruby.
