"That must be the princess, Ruby. What is she doing here?" The dark yellow haired noble asked.
"Oh my~ I didn't expect for the Marquees Of Thread to be here." Said Charlotte.
"Duchess Charlotte, what a coincidence. I didn't expect to find you here either. I have some business with the purple haired girl over there." He said as he pointed at Violet.
"Oh, is that so? I've only come to get the princess back." She replied.
The five who were in the middle, contemplated on whether to make a run for it while they talked or not.
Aurora took a step forward, glancing around the corner of the mansion, checking to see if there was a path they could take.
But in that instant, she halted, as dark thin threads, appeared out of dark circles which suddenly formed around her.
They suddenly wrapped themselves around and immobilised her on the spot.
Aurora winced in pain as they wrapped themselves around her neck, preventing her from breathing.
*SLASH!*
The threads were instantaneously cut by Ruby's battle-axe as she swung them, causing Aurora to drop to the floor.
"Aurora!" Violet called out to her.
"I'm fine…!" Said Aurora as she rubbed her throat. "Don't move!"
"She's right… No one make a move… That Marquees guy has already set his thread all around us." Said Ruby as she looked around with her golden eyes.
She could see traces of his ability all around, they were invisible to the naked eye but hers were special.
"I took his gloves and we're outside... How is he able to do that?" Violet asked
"Those gloves are a limiter for him, so he doesn't use his actual ability. In terms of strength… He's on par with the duke and duchess rank."
Violet and Aurora glanced at each other, Kylo and Lita stayed close to Lara at the back. They all listened to Ruby.
"I'll take on the duchess… Just try to hold on."
The instant she said that, Ruby vanished, appearing before the duchess with her axe swinging down on her.
The duchess who was interrupted, opened her fan before taking a step to the side to avoid it.
The battle axe dug into the ground, causing it to crumble as a result.
Spikes of blood, rose up from the ground beneath the duchess's feet and extended towards her face.
The duchess leapt up, as effortless and smoothly as possible, landed on top of the spiky edge with her sandal.
She was perfectly balanced despite being on one leg.
"Princess Ruby, is this your rebellious phase? You know what will happen if you oppose your father don't you?"
"Focus on the fight, Charlotte." Ruby replied before swinging her battle axe at the duchess.
The axe, scrapped away the grass, tearing the dirt out of the ground as it made it's way towards Charlotte.
Charlotte tried to leap away, but the edge of the blood spike which she had been standing on turned into a thread before wrapping itself around her feet.
She couldn't dodge.
And so – She opened her fan, swinging it at the large axe heading towards her.
*Clang!*
An absurd amount of wind burst towards the battle axe, cancelling out it's momentum as a result.
But at that instant, Ruby kicked off the ground, stepping in as she thrust her feet towards her.
Using her other fan, the duchess blocked the impact however –
*WHAM!*
She was still sent flying away,
*Swoosh*
Ruby rushed right after her, dragging her battle axe along the dirt as she did so.
A line of rising blood spikes rose up, heading towards, the duchess.
The duchess, was suddenly propelled sideways by the wind, however, allowing her to avoid it.
Despite doing so, spikes rose out of the blood spikes which she had just avoided. These spikes were heading straight towards her.
The duchess, swung her fan, sending another burst of razor sharp wind which sliced the blood into tiny pieces.
The tiny molecules of blood levitated in the air however, before being propelled towards the duchess.
The duchess, knew that if even a single one of them touched her and entered her bloodstream, it would be over as ruby would been able to control her blood from within her body.
Because of such, she swung her fan down, causing the sound of a large horn to sound, along with the rattling of bells as the air around her, burst up creating a circle of rising wind.
"Princess, you've gotten stronger... I'm impressed." Said the Duchess as she hid her mouth from behind her fan. "But why does it seem like you're holding back?" She asked.
"Charlotte… I don't want to fight you… Can't you just let us go? Why must we destroy everything? Innocent people that look just like us are losing their lives! We have to stop him!" Said Ruby.
"Ruby you're still young… You wouldn't understand… The king is the one that has kept us safe for so long for a reason. I am sorry."
*Rattle*
The sound of bells rattling resounded once more, only this time, countless bubbles of wind forming in the air around the duchess.
These bubblets began to take the shape of spear, lances and arrows.
A large amount of wind began to gather in the area as the clouds began to swirl around. The gathered wind began to take a shape.
"So you're finally getting serious… Duchess Of The Wind."
"Corps executive…! President! Please! You must leave this place!" Yelled the secretary. "The organisations won't have anyone to lead us without you!"
"If we leave! There'll be no one to lead god damn it! We're staying here! We have everything set up already. If we leave now, the plan will be ruined! We can't afford that!" Said the corps executive.
"He's right. We're staying. Send some of our best members to try and defeat the invader, put everything and lockdown to buy us some time. One hour, that's all we need."
"We're pushing the raid forward for the next hour?" The corps executive asked.
"That's right… We have no other choice, we'll all be fucked otherwise." The president replied.
Upon hearing this, the two chuckled.
"You know… I always thought the president was a dick. Fake news says a lot… You're not that bad." Said the corps executive.
"I always thought that an organisation that dared to use imperial in their were cunts. You all helped me a lot." Replied the president.
After chuckling for a while longer, the expressions on their faces grew more serious as they simultaneously said.
"Prepare the alarm."
