My Wife is the Asura Empresschapter 91: freeing them from their suffering

A ruckus started among humans as unity and leadership was missing among those who were afraid of losing their precious life.

The door of the portal capsule couldn't be locked as it was blocked by others' interruption.

One side of human warriors was closing the door while the other side was pressing the button to open it for themselves.

They didn't think carefully of a solution to escape this calamity on their head.

Everyone wanted to save their life but they forgot one fact, the capsule can only let one person teleport out at one time as each one of them came from a different part of the earth and everyone's destination was set to a different location.

Beast stormed inside the iron wing underground shelter as the distance wasn't much between them and humans.

Some of the intelligent ones started realizing their desperate situations as they discussed among themselves to find a better solution.

"These stupid people didn't leave us a choice. We better fight our way out of the entrance and find another shelter."

"Are you out of your mind? The entrance is blocked by more than a hundred porcupine beasts, and a strange asura is guarding outside. We don't even know his actual strength."

"Do you have any better idea?"

"..."

Several human warriors came forward to fight back as they knew they have no other option left. They turned around to take their fight stance to face the upcoming enemy.

Human warriors were lower in number compared to the astronomical number of Fierce porcupine beasts. Their strength paled in comparison but their desire to live boosted their will to fight back.

They summoned various beast souls that they had as their survival instinct kicked in since there was no other option left.

Beasts eyes had turned crimson red from rage and hatred towards the humans. This was their chance to take revenge for their lost kin's souls.

Several humans and an overwhelming number of Fierce porcupines attacked each other.

Humans had an advantage of fighting in this packed room as not all the yellow stage beasts could enter this place all at once as there was a lack of space.

They made an efficient strategy to fight as the one with shield beast soul defended while others with offensive weapons fought from behind.

This helped them to drag the fight longer and avoided instant defeat against the Fierce Porcupine beast who was craving for their blood.

Those who were busy with the portal capsule also got affected by the free fire of this battle so they had no chance but to join in and support their fellow comrades.

As this happened, A brutal battle happened between Fierce Porcupine and humans of the yellow stage as they clashed inside the Iron wing underground shelter.

The spacious room made for the portal capsule became the war ground for humans and beasts.

The boy disappeared from the entrance and went inside the iron wing underground shelter. His [Devlin's Movement Technique] had 20 meters range. It was enough to avoid the attention of others.

He searched for the whereabouts of the throne chamber in the underground shelter and discovered a staircase going down to the deeper level.

'This might be the way...'

Rio discarded their fight as he had a more important enemy to face and went towards his final destination.

If he could get the heartstone, the boy would be able to avoid unnecessary hassle. He expected that the enemy would've already called the reinforcement beast but Rio wasn't aware of a secret, which he would find out in a few hours.

Toby Perry saw the chaos inside the portal capsule chamber, after running his brain for survival he decided to ask the Emperor spirit for assistance.

Armored Porcupine Emperor Spirit heard the call for assistance in the fight when a young blonde-haired man walked inside the throne chamber.

Rio summoned his king Silver-Bloom sword and appeared behind the Armored Porcupine Emperor spirit.

The dwarf-like spirit's eyes were filled with surprise as it saw the blonde man vanishing from his sight.

It felt a chilly shiver around its neck but it was too late for the Armored porcupine Emperor spirit to defend itself or move out from his place.

The head of Rio's enemy severed from its neck and rolled down on the floor like a moving football.

[Yellow-Stage Armored Porcupine Emperor spirit defeated.]

On top of the statue, a transparent glowing stone appeared after vanishing from the pendent of Toby Perry.

Rio had heard from Helia that the stone would appear on top of their statue once he killed the emperor spirit.

Rio plucked out the heart stone that was flickering yellow and a notification played in his mind.

[Heart stone of Yellow-Stage Armored Porcupine Emperor spirit gained. Put a drop of your blood to make a master-servant contract with the Yellow-Stage Armored Porcupine Emperor spirit.]

[59:30]... [59:29]... [59:28]...

The blonde-haired 'Asura' commanded the Armored Porcupine beast around the Iron wing underground shelter's region to reinforce him.

He turned around to go back to the ongoing battle scene.

The portal chamber room, had twenty-nine humans left, it appeared three of them succeeded to escape through the portal capsule.

They may have realized it would only work if one person go at a time and sent the three women, who were among thirty-two warriors, first.

The remaining Human warriors looked beaten and blue, with a lot of injuries as blood was flowing from their wounds.

There were numerous spines of Fierce porcupine beasts stabbed on their bodies from which their blood dripped, dying on the ground in red.

These men were struggling hard to keep defending themselves to save their life.

As Rio entered the portal capsule room, he saw the desperate fight of human warriors.

'I should support them and free them from their sufferings.'

Rio spoke as he decided to join in to finish the battle as he was impressed they had some morals left by letting women escape first.

Although he wanted to conquer the iron wing underground shelters, Rio wasn't a cold-blooded murderer. He felt pity for their tattered condition.

To save his Lia, he had to taint his hands with the blood but that didn't mean he would kill them mercilessly. He would pick the other options if there were any.

The reason he wanted to join in was that Rio had an easy method to end this desperate battle.

The boy remembered the words Lia told him after giving him a spell scroll to learn.

'[Spiritual Shock] will help you during your upcoming missions that Father is going to assign you. It will activate a human's AI watch to send them back to earth. This skill attacks the soul so the brain sends signals to the AI Watch that the body is in danger.

Security mechanism will activate instantly and teleport the human out of the land of Asura for a day at least since the damage was only done to their soul and they can recover it after a good sleep.'

Rio carefully checked the spell information again as he was going to use it.

<<<<

[Spiritual Shock: Attacks the soul of Opponent. Those at the same stage or lower will faint and those at the higher stage will suffer from a stunning effect (duration depends on the power gap). Mana: 20. Cooldown: 30 seconds.]

>>>>

'30 seconds and 20 mana. This will also allow me to see the effect of my [Life Sutra] innate skill as It says to be giving a higher Mana recovery rate along with other beneficial effects.'

He proceeded towards the first target as Rio gazed at a browny man and activated [Spiritual Shock].

A blue light flickered in his eyes and a human warrior at the back felt having a sudden ache in his head as he collapsed on the ground.

A white light came out from his AI and it enveloped the fainted warrior's body within a few seconds.

White light gradually faded away as the collapsed man vanished from the portal capsule room, leaving behind a yellow pill.

This incident caused his comrades to frown in fear as they thought it happened because of the beast's fatal attack.

Fierce Porcupine's spine was the weapon they used to attack as it released a Projectile arrow from its back towards the enemy from time to time to injure them.

Rio took advantage of this chaos and attacked human warriors one by one.

He discovered the mana recovery rate was 1% per second, which brought a joyous to his heart.

"Don't kill them, just continue to harass them. I'll send them out from here."

He instructed the beasts and sent the humans out of the Iron wing underground shelter one after another.

Tobi Perry had also suffered the blonde-haired man's turbulence as Rio sent him along with his comrades back to the earth without killing them.

A total of twenty-nine pills were scattered on the ground along with blood left by the human warriors' injuries.

There wasn't even a place to stand. He heard a galloping sound approaching outside.

'Seems like they are here.'

He guessed the Armored Porcupine beast had arrived to give him reinforcement but Rio was already done with the fight.

'Go, wait for me outside.'

He commanded the Fierce porcupine to stay out of the underground shelter as the boy decided to execute his next task.
