Lia and Rio entered the castle and walked out from another metal door exit to go towards the teleporter tower.
Sun was glistening in the sky and causing their shadows to hug closely as they were walking alongside each other.
They entered an enormous grass field which Rio recognized as this was the place where the battle arena was present.
However, they weren't going to that oval-shaped building. Instead, they went toward another building which was in the shape of a lighthouse.
It was around 60 meters tall kissing the sky and 40 meters wide taking its root at the bottom. However, the radius of the building wasn't constant as it diminished the higher you looked. At the top of the tower, it only appeared to be 10 meters with a spherical crown in the shape of a wheel.
Two guards were standing at the entrance of the teleporter tower. They both bowed as they saw the white-haired girl coming in their direction.
The guards frowned seeing the blonde-haired boy beside their highness.
As they approached the tower, Rio's mouth became agape and he gasped in amazement to witness the majestic sight of the building. The architectural design was on another level as it expressed the importance of this place.
Looking from far and observing closely differed. The last time when he came, he went to the other side to go to the battle arena and didn't come this close.
They passed through the big gate to enter. Many asuras were present inside the tower. They all bowed when they saw Lia before continuing with their own business.
However, some of the asuras stared at the new boy accompanying their highness with curiosity.
There were four rooms on the first floor and Spiral staircases were present in the middle spacious portion to go on the above floors. These stairs were like automatic elevators built using mana stones and magic arrays.
Rio wasn't sure how many floors it had but he could see a circular ascended platform on each floor which was in his sight.
Right in front of them, four asura warriors walked to the circular ascended platform on the second floor that was visible due to the structure of the building.
One of them, who looked to be the superior among them, took out a fist-sized brown paper that was engraved with complicated magic circles. He tore it apart which caused the paper to float around and magic circles started forming in front of them.
A small crack appeared in the thin air which was swirling and sucked the standing warriors inside. Space rift closed as their figure vanished from the ascended circular floor.
'Whoa!'
Lia was going ahead when she noticed her partner wasn't beside her. She turned around to find out shocked Rio gazing in the disappeared warriors' direction.
She smiled gently and walked to him with graceful steps.
"That's a portal array on the ascended platform. You can use any of these platforms to visit one of our claimed shelters. In that room there, you can ask for the [Teleport Glyph] of the shelters we own." Lia pointed towards a room to the right side.
Rio came out of his dazed expression as soon as he heard her melody voice and carefully listened to her to not miss out on anything.
She continued, "Tearing it apart while standing on the ascended platform will activate the magic array and send you to the inscribed shelter point."
Rio heard her statement and realized that the magic array was a lot better than the portal capsule he used to come here from earth.
Asuras could teleport to the shelters they wanted, meanwhile, when humans used a portal capsule for the first time they would randomly be sent to any shelter in the land of Asuras, and safety was not guaranteed. They would have to walk to the shelter they want their AI watch to register for the point of return.
"You guys have more advanced teleporters than humans." He praised the asuras after he saw their magic array at the teleporter tower.
They entered the room Lia was pointing at earlier.
Two middle-aged men and an old man were sitting behind a large reception desk. The trio had their eyes red as common asuras traits.
They all stood up seeing Lia's arrival and bowed their heads toward her.
The old man spoke in a polite tone, "Do you need anything, Your highness?"
"[Teleport Glyph] for Mistborn shelter." She said in her usual cold voice for outsiders.
"Yes, your highness." Oldman opened a drawer and took out something from it.
"Here, your highness." A fist-sized brown paper engraved with magic circles was placed on his spread palms and his head was bowed in respect.
Lia took it and turned around to leave with Rio. They walked out of the room to enter the other room beside it.
There was a circular ascended platform present here as well.
Earlier Rio had noticed nobody entering this room for some reason so they didn't use the magic array present here.
He thought inwardly "Probably it is reserved for the Royal family."
"You know what to do, right?" Lia asked while gazing at him as if he was her little baby who has recently learned to walk.
Rio nodded in affirmation with a confident smile.
"Here. Stay safe and inform me if anything goes wrong." She handed him the [Teleport Glyph].
"Thanks, my dear Wifey." Rio took it from her hand and pecked her milky-white cheek by inclining as they were standing closely.
He could feel his lips pressing against her soft cheeks for a little before separating. Her flowery scent invaded his nostril in that moment of the second when he closed the distance.
Lia was taken aback by his sudden action. She didn't expect him to be bold enough to suddenly kiss her on the cheek.
However, she didn't know that when she pecked his cheek in the morning he was pretending to be asleep so he didn't hesitate to return it back.
At the end of the day, she was his wife, his closest bonding, his family. She meant a lot to him which he wasn't able to express truthfully before.
Although it was kind of a forced marriage but he was more than happy to marry her. He wouldn't turn down the proposal even if he had more options because he could feel the affection Lia showed towards him every time they were together which caused a warm ticklish in his heart.
He started feeling that marrying her was one of the happiest things that happened to him whenever he spend time with her alone.
He wanted to treat her with twofold greater love than she gave him. So his action was reasonable as he started to understand Lia.
He climbed the ascended platform and tore the brown paper apart which was the [Teleport Glyph].
A space rift opened and his figure disappeared into it.
Lia saw his figure waving to her with a smile before he vanished.
An adorable smile was plastered on her fairy-like face because of the romantic encounter earlier.
Her heart was fluttering with bliss as she remembered the feeling of his warm lips touching and kissing her cheek.
It was well said that no one would be able to understand the secret of a maiden's heart.
She stood there while gazing at the place where Rio disappeared for a few dozen minutes.
On this day, Rio finally went to taste the flavor of the wilderness for the first time in his life.
He had no idea that the unknown paths, mysterious landscapes, deadly beasts, new friends, and great adventures were waiting for him with open arms to unfold on the other side of the empire.
