My Wife is the Asura Empresschapter 265: racing against time: rio's urgent quest for rose

"What happened to her? Is she okay?" he asked, his voice filled with concern as he looked at Nyla with a furrowed brow.

Although Rose had been distant, rude, and unfriendly during their initial meeting, Rio still felt a sense of responsibility towards her as she was the daughter of his second mother. He knew that his second mother had loved him like her own child, and he felt a duty to reciprocate that love by looking out for her beloved daughter.

Nyla shook her head, her voice barely above a whisper, "Your second mother hasn't returned from the Land of Asura since Rose went missing."

"Missing? What do you mean, missing? Since when?" " Rio's voice was filled with worry as he asked the girl.

Nyla's expression was grim as she replied, "We haven't seen or heard from Rose since she received her AI watch on her sixteenth birthday. She used it for the first time and never returned. It's been a few weeks, Rio."

The boy's mind raced with concern and fear for Rose's safety as he understood how his second mother would feel if something happened to that little imp, "Why didn't you tell me about this sooner?"

"I only found out recently when I left Empress Villa for the international tournament," Nyla explained.

"Ah..." Rio let out a deep sigh and put his hand over his forehead, trying to process everything that had happened. He leaned back in his seat, his thoughts consumed by the weight of the situation.

When Rio returned to Earth to participate in the top eight-fight of the international tournament, he was surprised to find his phone switched off.

Upon opening and checking, he saw that he had missed numerous calls from his second mother, who was worried sick about his prolonged absence in the Land of Asura.

However, Rio had already sent her a message informing her of his return, but he was still unaware of Rose's disappearance at that time.

When he tried to call his second mother, the call didn't connect, but he didn't think much of it since it was common for her to be away from Earth. However, now that Nyla had informed him about Rose's situation, Rio realized the gravity of the situation and knew that he had to act fast to find his second mother's daughter.

"If you want to hurry, I can drive back to the school alone and you can use your [Astral Projection] to return immediately," The girl suggested with a worried look in her eyes.

Hearing her words, Rio nodded thoughtfully, a serious expression on his face, "You're right, Nyla. I should hurry. I need to find Rose before something bad happens to her," he said, his voice laced with urgency.

Nyla heard Rio's response and attempted to separate from his embrace, but his grip on her grew tighter, and he leaned in to peck her forehead tenderly. She couldn't help but smile at the gesture, feeling loved by her boy.

As Rio broke the kiss and let her go, Nyla watched as he cast the [Astral Projection] spell. A bright light enveloped his body, and he vanished from the seat where they had shared their intimate moment.

Despite feeling a bit lonely without him by her side, Nyla knew that Rio had to find Rose and bring her home for his second mother. She took a deep breath and started the car, driving back to the school alone.

Rio appeared in Lia's bedroom, his gaze immediately falling on Helia lying unconscious on the bed. Lia was sitting by her side, looking worried.

He said, sending a telepathic message to Lia, "I'm sorry Wifey, But I have to leave again. Rose, Second mother's daughter, has gone missing after using the AI watch for the first time. I was planning to ask for your help in finding her in the Asuras cage, but Eve informed me that she knows where Rose is trapped. I must leave immediately and bring her back."

Lia's voice was serene and filled with love as she spoke to Rio. "It's alright, Husband. I understand. I was just worried about you last time. But I know that saving your second mother's daughter is important. I wouldn't want her to be sad because of my selfishness. Be safe."

"Thanks, Wifey. I will leave now, but I'll be back as soon as I can. Take care of Lioness and yourself," Rio said, his voice filled with affection.

The boy left the room, heading towards the teleporter tower. Even though Eve could teleport him to different places, there was a cooldown period after each use. She had recently used it to bring him back to Empress Villa after he had completed his important task at the Death Realm.

Rio approached the old man at the teleporter tower and requested for the [Teleport Glyph] to Skywatch Keep

As soon as he stepped onto the ascended platform, Rio tore apart the [Teleport Glyph]. In an instant, a spatial rift opened in thin air and sucked him inside, erasing his surroundings.

The sensation was overwhelming but familiar as he was thrown out of the spatial rift, landing on his feet with a soft thud.

Rio found himself standing on top of a massive building situated in the midst of a vast desert. The building was imposing, with tall towers and thick walls that seemed to stretch up to the sky.

As he looked around, Rio noticed several birds flying in the sky, soaring effortlessly over the endless expanse of sand. The air was hot and dry, causing him to sweat profusely. He adjusted his clothing and took a deep breath, mentally preparing himself for the task at hand.

After leaving the shelter, Rio's body shot forward with incredible speed, turning into a streak of blue light that cut through the air like a shooting star. He raced across the land, his resolve and urgency driving him to go as fast as he possibly could toward the direction where Rose was.
