The boy quickly enchanted his body with Thunder, causing his muscles to tense and his movements to become lightning-fast.
With a flick of his wrist, Rio's silver-bloom King sword glinted in the sunlight as it cut through the air, aimed directly at the Doppelganger's neck.
The sound of metal slicing through flesh echoed through the deserted beach as the buzzing blade connected with its target.
The Doppelganger's face was drowned with stupefy expression in mid-air for a moment, its sea-green eyes widened in shock and pain.
Then, with a sickening sound, the head rolled off its shoulders and onto the ground. A fountain of silver-colored blood gushed out of the severed neck, painting the sand with a grotesque pattern.
After a few seconds of silence, the doppelganger's body began to quiver and shake.
Rio stood there, panting heavily, as he watched the body turn into a shower of silver particles that scattered across the ground before transforming into a blinding light.
He found himself momentarily blinded by the sudden brightness, just as he blinked his eyes, the boy discovered that he was back in the cavern again.
The adrenaline was still coursing through his veins, and his heartbeat racing in his chest.
He recalled his silver bloom king sword and took a deep gulp of oxygen, trying to calm his heavy breathing.
But before he could even begin to think of his circumstances, a bunch of notifications rang in his mind, pulling his attention away from everything else.

He read the notification and flashing in front of his eyes, these messages confirmed that he successfully defeated the monarch beast.
He sighed in relief and opened the door to the wonderous forest realm in the wall of the cavern before walking into it.
Rio traveled through the surrounding lush greenery, the leaves of the trees and shrubs formed a thick canopy that cast a shadow over the forest floor.
The flurry of azure and white butterflies flitted about in the air, the forest illuminated by a mysterious blue light as he passed through a small waterfall, his feet immersing in the lime-shade water.
He carried on traveling through the trees with pink leaves until he arrived at the spot where Nyla and the boy would spend their leisure time resting during the national military school tournament.
But his destination wasn't this place, Rio continued walking deeper, unlike before, this time there was no barrier to stop him.
The boy spotted a bright glowing light in the distance, he strode through a grove of small mushrooms in red, blue, and yellow shades before reaching a large pond in the middle of which were big red lotuses.
The fireflies and butterflies fluttered around him as if welcoming their emperor to this land.
Rio's eyes shone as he saw a ravishing figure sitting on a moss-covered root, she was gazing at him with a perplexed look.
He walked in her direction and sat on the root beside her, Her long pointy ears that poked out from her orange-red hair twitched seeing his action.
She was dressed in a one-piece white dress with cyan patterns on her shoulder just like the last time.
"Don't you have another dress to wear?" He asked with an amusing tone.
"Who will buy me dresses? The goddess bound me with a boy who is not good at handling girls' matters," She said in a stiff tone as if annoyed, her voice sounded to be filled with resentment but it was just her mood as she never regretted becoming his partner.
"That boy is also bound by an oath to be loyal to his wives." He chuckled.
"Why did you refuse the Monarch Beast's offer? You could have had all your questions answered and received her assistance to find Layla and your parents' truth," Eve asked, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"Because I'm just a helpless victim of your charm. I couldn't possibly betray an eleven beauty," he joked in an amusing tone.
She narrowed her eyes at him, suspicion written all over her face, "Don't tease me, Tell me the truth."
The boy's heart was filled with gratitude as he decided to reveal the truth to the girl. She sat before him with her cheeks adorably puffed, and his voice flickered with sincerity, "This elven beauty in front of me, has helped me in so many ways and she never once hurt me.
You've always been there, through thick and thin. As long as you don't harm the people I love, you will always be one of those I hold dear to my heart. Thank you, Eve, for everything you've done for me. I am not sure what I would've done without you."
The boy spoke, thinking about all the help she had given him all these times since they had become partners. The first and foremost was the misunderstanding she helped to clear between him and Layla.
After that she continued to aid him, she even gave him a place to stay during the national military school tournament. She provided him with a few useful abilities, she helped him from time to time. She was the same girl who aided him in the trial of the saintess to answer all those tricky questions.
But why was he thanking her all of a sudden?
He remembered her words, how she had expressed her reluctance to harm him in the trial when he went to defeat her.
Back then, he had failed to understand her true intentions, and her words had been lost on him.
